Hip Hop Thursday!

It's Thursday.
It's Hip Hop Day!
AND
There's a new KOTM.
Have you seen it????

It's pretty Fabulous!
If you are NOT a kit club member already....
you can sign up HERE!

I've used over half of the images already.
How's that for some crazy, fast stamping?! LOL!

There's also a new monthly sketch challenge.
Have you seen that?
Check it out here!

I've used the sketch to make my two cards for today.
Let me know what you think.

This one uses my new favorite-can't-put-them-down papers.
Picket Fences by Lily Bee Designs.
I just LOVE them.

Next is my party dress card. I used one of the new
MFT Decorative Doily Duo die-namics to
mount my pretty pieced party dress on.
Papers are by Crate Paper-Emma's Shoppe.
This one is so girly and sweet.

Off you go.
Maria is next!

one more....it's WSC18...Smooth Sailing

Are you in MFT overload??? LOL! I'm not! Just too many great images and I've completed all 17 sketches thus far, so why sit out this week? LOL!
So, I'm back with one more card with another new released MFT stamp set, called SS Flapper. It's from the Flapper Doodle line and I think it really cute. I have to admit, this one had to grow on me. BUT, after seeing all the wonderful samples made with it during Teaser Time, I couldn't wait to ink it up. Plus, it gave me an excuse to use the sweet little waves die-namic.

You'll also see, I used the new Scallop Ribbon die-namic to look like an actual ribbon tab.  Added a button and twine, just like I would have if it was a real piece of ribbon. Papers are by  Crate Paper.

Come play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us.

Need some inspiration from the sketch.....Check out Kim's Blog. You'll find the DT line up.

May Shop & Hop with MFT!

Welcome! and happy Release Day! Thanks so much for all your kind, sweet words these past 5 days.  We put a lot of time into our teaser posts and your comments are MUCH appreciated. Thanks so much! Hope you had fun and I hope you've had time to shop....if not, that's good, too, because we've got more to share and will hopefully help you make up your mind on what will end up in your cart! After the hop, you'll find all the goodies right here in the Brand Spankin' New section of the MFT Boutique.
I hope you just arrived from the talents of Melody, if not then you'll want to hop on back to the start.  Kim's kicking us off with all the details and then she'll point you in the right direction for the hop.  Leave comments along the way and you could win a MFT Gift Voucher!

I told you all this past week how IN LOVE I am with the new Notched Tag stamp set and matching die-namic set.  It sells as a set and to be honest, you want them both anyway! This just makes it even easier to add to your cart....one click and done!

I am a sucker for tags and then there's all the sentiments....LOTS and LOTS of sentiments AND in two different fonts....then there's the stinkin' cute die-namic mini shapes that fit the tag. It's one brilliant duo.
I've got another card tonight that shows how great you can mix and match all the shapes. I even threw in one of the new Decorative Doily Duo die-namics and a butterfly from the Butterfly die-namics.

On the inside I added more butterflies...love that there's a new teeny tiny butterfly die that matches the bigger ones.  I added a strip of the scallop ribbon die-namic and did the sentiment (Framed Greetings) on the new well worn greeting die-namic. See the polka dots....those were done with the small background from the Notched Tag set.

I also saved this card with the sooooo cool and very pretty vintage type writer set. (I'm so excited to say that Paper Craft magazine also picked up a card I made with this set for their new Holiday Cards and More edition.  You'll have to wait to see that one, but I'll show you what I can now!).
I am really happy that there is a matching die-namic with this too. I'm all for the ease of a quick crank through my big shot, instead of cutting with my scissors. And, yes, that's more of that Picket Fences paper....I doooo LOVE it!
I finished off the inside on this with more of the scallop ribbon die-namic and a pretty posey flower. The sentiment was stamped on an extra cut piece of the paper from the die. I even stamped some little lines (they're hard to see, but they are there) from the Own Your Story stamp set.

I'll send you on your way. KERRY is next.
 Happy shopping and happy hopping.

Final Day of MFT Teasers....Release Party Tonight

Tonight's the night. It's so exciting.  I sure hope you have enjoyed all the sneak peeks the DT has provided all week long. I sure appreciate your sweet, kind words. You sure know how to make a girl feel good. Before I dive into today's teasers.....just in case you missed it the past few days, here's a recap of what's happening tonight.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on May 3 at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on TONIGTH at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available TONIGHT, May 3 at 10 PM EST.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog NOW! Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 $10 vouchers being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. :) Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.
So, today we are sharing teasers with this month's Who's That Girl-Girls Rule, and Clearly Sentimental about Friendship....both beautiful sets.

I was dying to use the super cute sentiment from the WTG set, "when all else fails, wear pink!".....so this card is a pink beauty!  My dress turned out a bit more purple-ish, but that's okay, there's plenty of pink on the rest of the card. I also knew I was going to show off the amazing, and oh-so-cool Rolled Daisy die-namics.They are really so easy to use and the result is a beautiful 3-D, layered flower. Aren't they gorgeous???  I plucked a sweet little pink button right in the middle, a little glue dot and some nice pressure with your thumb and they were done. I tucked a few leaves ( from upsy daisy die-namic) behind the flowers and the sentiment is done up on two of the layers from Well Worn Label die-namic set.

Since the rest of the card was a bit busy, I used some twine to tie up a bow.  The card needed a bow, but it didn't need to be out there, ykwim? And if you look real close towards the bottom, there's that double scalloped border.

Next up I've got a card done inside and out with this month's Triple Scoop set....it's the newest addition to the Clearly Sentimental line up. It's all about Friendship and I can't wait to get this card off to my bestie!
We've been friends since the first grade and I thought of her as soon as I read this.  I also am FINALLY showing off the newest addition to the doily collection of die-namics.  This is a set of two small sizes (they are sold together) of the decorative doily. They are called none other than, Decorative Doily Duo.
I was so happy to see these smaller sizes. They look great alone, or all stacked up. Here, I used them layered on top of one another with the sentiment in the center. A few hearts, one cut from Hearts A Plenty and the smallest one is from Notched Tag set.

On the inside, the matching faux crocheted border die-namic, the friendship definition from Own Your Story, and the distressed hearts from the soon to be released, Well Worn Greetings. Phew! lots going on there, but hey....they all work together. Love that!

I'll send you on your way now.  See you back here tonight for our Shop&Hop blog hop @ 10pm and then I've got a WSC  card at midnight! You won't be lacking in MFT posts anytime soon. LOL!
Kim's Blog is waiting for you!

MFT Teaser Time....day 4

Is your list getting bigger and bigger??? I know, how will you ever narrow it down? Who says you have to? *wink*wink*

We've got more goodies to share today and I KNOW you'll love what you see.
You know the drill.....before I get started, I've got the deets for you about the upcoming release on May 3 at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on May 3 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on May 3 at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

Okay, so now we're ready. Today's peeks are for the following sets:  Inspired By - Up, Up & Away, Claire Keay - You Had Me at Woof, Just My Type stamp set.  You know I loooove my Claire Keay sets and this one is no different.  The other two are a perfect mix of shabby chic, elegance, and vintage. Really love them all. I don't know where to start.

Soooooo, how about some C.U.T.E. first and that means some Claire Keay.
This set is really darling. Not only do you get this great main image, there are quite a few sweet, little elements and images that help embellish your creation (see my tiny tag and the paw prints on the heart???...those are two of the extras included). Then you know there are also some great sentiments included, too.  I used the "I Woof You" cuz I'm a sucker for punny sentiments.

See my heart? I got clever with the hearts a plenty die-namic and made it look like a bite was taken from the edge.  Easy to do-Cut out the biggest heart, then line up the scalloped heart to cut a small portion of the bigger heart, run it through your die cut machine again.  Just a little edge is all you need to achieve the look. Twine and a strip of the Scallop Ribbon Die-namic finish it off.
Let's change gears now and move on to a bit of shabby chic with this beautiful new set from the Inspired By line from MFT.  This one is called Up, Up , & Away!  Hot air ballons are hot right now and I love the bit of vintage feel these have.
I kept it pretty simple, letting the stamps speak for themselves. I love that there is a stamp that matches the shape of the flat bottom clouds die-namic, so I used that here with the dies. A touch of the new scallop ribbon die-namic, some seam binding ribbon, twine and a little pin, help embellish this card. Oh, yeah, my card base is Sno Cone...love that color, if you can't tell.

That's all I've got for today. Hop on back to Kim's blog to see today's line up.

More MFT Teasers....day 3

Rolling right along with the My Favorite Things Teasers.....today is our day of Pure Innocence......you know you love them. I can't wait for you to see them. Oh, and Happy May! Yep, it's a new month and I'm soooo ready for some warm weather and sunshine. COME on MAY!

Before I show you what I have today.....
Here are the details about the upcoming release on May 3 at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on May 3 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on May 3 at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

So, more cuties coming your way this month. Here are the set names: Pure Innocence - Lily of the Valley, Roll With It, Skater Boy, Pucker Up, Fresh From the Oven. I've got Pucker Up and Fresh From the Oven for you today.
C.U.T. E., cute stuff. Something about this set just makes my heart smile. I loooove her sweet pigtails and the cups of lemonade, and the sweet, sweet sentiment. I used one on the outside, with a little Notched Tag and
another one on the inside with the Well Worn Lable die-namics. You'll also see the fabby new stacked scallops die-namic. Papers are Jillibean Soup and I tied it all up with the yummy MFT Twine!

Last week I whipped up a batch of zucchinni chocolate chip bread (yes, I add chocolate chips to almost all my breads and cookies....gotta have my chocolate. Plus the kids like it better ☺). I am blessed to have such a wonderful neighbor. So I made a bunch of mini loaves and decided to do one up to send over to her.

The new, Fresh From the Oven PI was a perfect fit. I stamped her on X-press blending paper and colored with copics and finished the apron off with a little paper piecing. Once again, you'll see the Notched Tag....LOVE it!  I also added a strip of the Scallop Ribbon die-namic to dress the whole thing up!
More Twine...this time Peapod. Here's a close up of the small tags. The round tag, was a 1 inch circle punch and then I used the small heart from the Notched tag set to cut out the middle. Kind of a cute accent, dontcha think???  I used a trick of mine to make a sentiment fit in almost any place.....just cut it up and adhere each word individually.

There you go and now head on back to Kim's Blog to see the full list of Teaser Posts today.
