Baby Boy

I love when my friends ask me to make them cards.  It always puts a smile in my heart.  This past week I had a request for a baby boy card. I pulled out my Simple Stories-Awesome papers,  used this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge no.48 (it was a great sketch) and along with lots of MFT Die-namics...this card came to be.

After almost NO stamping last week, due to my illness and now my parents in for the weekend, I was lucky to sneak in a little stamping therapy this afternoon.

There is almost no stamping on this card, so I was really able to make those Die-namics shine.   The word "baby" was cut using the newest alphabet dies by MFT, BY THE LETTERS UPPERCASE.   I added them to a polka dotted impressed panel...polka dots always work great for baby cards.

I pulled out an older flower Die-namics for my circle element, it's the largest flower from PERFECT PETAL DIE-NAMICS.  It's layered up with a CIRCLE STAX 2 and finished off with a sweet little NOTCHED TAG.  Isn't that Onesie just the cutest???!!!

I ♥ my burlap twine....just got more of this stuff from the Ribbon Carousel.  I used some to tie up by button.

I even finished off the inside of my card.  More of the same designer papers and the perfect sentiment from the PI-Boy and Baby stamp set.  This is my FAVE sentiment from the set.

That's all I've got today. Lucky me....I have a whole day of stamping planned once my parents hit the road tomorrow.  I'm healthy, revived and my mojo is ready to go!

Have a great day!

RCC36-Forever in your Heart

I'm up over on the Unity Blog today! It's a Mixed Media Sunday post.  I pulled out some acetate, burlap and twill ribbon to make this card.  It's always fun to play with some materials you might have forgotten about in your stash.

I used the super cute sketch from the Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  In stead of the square panel, I used a Layered Heart die-namic to hold my sweet Unity Heart and button from the set, The Time is Now

That cool burlap ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel store...so is the twill ribbon and button twine are also from their store. Love the fast shipping and GREAT selection of ribbons!  That burlap wired ribbon is really cool, I love the stitched edges of it.

To read all about the details on this one, please head over to the Unity Blog. I'll meet you over there. Happy Sunday!

Sending Joy

A cloudy, rainy day and the boys and I hung out downstairs while Tim slept (working a few nights this week).  They played with Legos and I got crafty.  Love lazy days like that! I played along with the Ribbon Carousel Challenge this week.

It was a great sketch and I'm pretty certain, I'll be making quite a few cards like this for my holiday cards this year. I really like how this turned out! I used the cool new kraft papers by My Mind's Eye.

Stamps and dies are all MFT...it's from the gorgeous new Christmas Ornament set.

Check out this week's challenge.

Anything Goes!

It has been long enough.....I see that pretty logo from the Ribbon Carousel pop up all over blog land each week and I finally am jumping in to play.  This week's challenge is easy, how could I not play??? It's "anything goes", I just had to use some ribbon, jute, twine, on my card....I always do!

I've got a pretty card done up in purples and blues for you today.  We've had a pretty stressful week last week with the passing our our 11yr. old golden retriever, a sick kid, and a minor surgery for my hubby.  We are all doing well, but it's during times like these that I'm reminded how precious my family is. I thought this beautiful quote from Clearly Sentimental about Family says it all.

Other MFT goodies you'll find here....the new frame from Vintage Cameo (did you know you can purchase die-namics without stamp sets, now???!!!), the Vintage Flourish, and one of the Layered Labels dies.
Papers are by Authentique and ribbon is Pale Plum Grosgrain.  A big pretty bow and a few rhinestones finish it off!
Check out the Ribbon Carousel store, too! I just placed my first order (stocked up on all my jute and a few other pretties!)  and I can't wait for my goodies to arrive. That awesome ribbon storage is going on my Christmas list along with some of those gorgeous wooded spools.

Enjoy your Sunday!
