TCPNOV13-What's on your desk {part 2)

I am up again this week with another sample for the November TCP Tuesday Challenge. I told the girls yesterday that I really enjoyed this challenge. I love the fact that I walk away with 3 finished cards after 1 crafty session. Have you played along? It's a What's On Your Desk Challenge: Make 1 card and then with what you have left on your desk, make 2 more!

I had fun with the newest penguin trio, Peace, Joy, and Peguins. While I love that tower of fun, I wanted to show you how to get a little bit more mileage out of this stamp set. I actually stamped them once and then cut out two of penguins to use separately, on two different cards.

Here is the card I started with. I kept it with the holiday theme and used the beautiful Snowflake Lace Paper Cutups to add an embossed panel to show off my candy cane penguin.  I just added an embossing matt to my stack, and removed the adaptor shim before I ran it through my Vagabond. I really love doing this with so many dies....another money saving tip!

While I had it out, I cut a full doily from some Sweet Tooth cardstock. I used a punched out snowflake to help accent my card.

The layout for this one is from the current Deconstructing Sketch 126. Not sure you can see it so well here, but that snowflake is sugared up with some Distress Glitter.

Next is the gifty penguin. I used the same papers from Basic Grey and went with a bit more of a clean and simple layout. I wanted a non-holiday card for this sweet little guy. See....getting more bang for your buck! He's got a stack of birthday gifts and the Celebration Toppers Cutups was perfect to accent him.

I also added a strip of Icing Cutup in Wild Cherry cs, tied on a twiney bow and adhered a few white sequins. It's a party!!

Here with my final card, you can see where I used the full Snowflake Lacey Paper Cutups. It fit perfectly with the Retro Sketch89  for this week.

Again, I went with another clean and simple card. I cut out a circle of the pretty pattern paper scraps from my first card and stamped a sentiment from this same Peace, Joy, and Penguins stamp set.

I used more of those sugary snowflakes along with a few olive green sequins, while I still had my sequin jar on my desk. :)
Easy Peasy! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to hop  over to Alma's blog to see who else has fun samples for the second week of this challenge.
