Sketchbook Sat.102 {sorry for your loss}

Let's face it. Sympathy cards are never fun to make, but sadly we need them. I do think it helps me feel better knowing that I can create something special that will hopefully ease the pain of a friend or loved one.

I used the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge for today's card along with some MFT pretties.

 I got some of the latest release goodies from My Favorite Things.  I was so intrigued by the new Plaid Background Builder stamp set. I started out easy with this card and only created stripes. Love me some stripes and in the new Fuse Green.....YUM!!! I stamped the stripes at an angle in a tone on tone look.

I figured roses were appropriate for the occasion and in a subdued color scheme of Sno cone, Berrylicious, and Midnight Muse (SU!) made them a perfect fit. I tucked in a little bit of the new Olive ink on the leaves and the sentiment is from Clearly sentimental about Sympathy.

That's the sketch for this challenge. I did cut my card base a little narrow, so I could have my roses pop off the edge of the card. I cut my card to 3.75 x 5.5 inches, allowing my card to still fit into an A2 envelope just fine.

 Stop by Iwona's blog for all the details. Gosh, I love that girls talent!
