Here's my card:
The sketch is another good one. Aren't they always?!! I LOVE the cluster of images in the corner and the two long strip elements. Here you can see the sketch, now.
I used a few MFT Die-namcis for those border strips. I cut the Harlequin Border from the hot pink woodgrain paper and the Small Open Scallop border from a green polka dotted print. I love the pink and green combo.
I colored her up with my copic markers and pieced the heart on her dress with some of the same green polka dot print. Speaking of Paper Piecing....there are two paper piecing challenges going on right now. I am linking this up for both.
- The There She Goes Challenge 218 this week is Piecing and I just so happened to use a TSG stamp set. Yes, I did plan that.
- I also stumbled upon the Crazy 4 Challenges blog lately. It's chuck full of a fabby, talented DT. You should check it out, if you haven't. This is my first time playing along. Thanks to Sarah Gough's post yesterday. This week's challenge, C4C197 is also paper piecing. Love that!
For my embellishment cluster, I used a stamp from the same set (TSG-Cinnamon), a button, and a rolled flower. I stamped the hearts onto some more pattern paper from the same paper pack and added a bit more color with some Copics. I gave it a touch of glam with a bit of Distress Glitter. You can't really tell in the picture but I also touched the edges of the rolled flower with the glitter, too.
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to play along and link up your card, using this Sweet Sunday Sketch 190 to Karen's Blog.
Need more inspiration?? Check out the gorgeous samples from the SSSC DT.
See you later.
