Backed in Black

I did this scrapbook page a few weeks back and got a chance to complete it this afternoon. I had about a week's lag time from when I sold my Cuttlebug to when I received my Big Shot. I wanted to use die cut letters on this page (along with some stamped letters) so this project got tabled until I could come back to it. I love this combo for boy stuff. I used a black 12x12 sheet for my base and layered on a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 Pacific Point cs. I was lucky to find some Spiderman dsp leftover from Ryan's birthday invites. I used a strip of that for accent along the bottom of the three pictures. Added the title and a little journaling (all 3 boys wore this costume for their first Halloween at about 9 months of age) and this page was completed. Nothing fancy here, but it still turned out cute! After finishing that up I needed to get a Congratulations card made for a friend of ours. He completed an Iron Man Triathlon in Louisville, KY on Sunday. WOW! He finished the whole thing in just over 13 hrs. What an amazing accomplishment. He has been training hard for the past year and put in long, long hours. I wanted to make sure to let him know how proud we are of him! Congrats, Jay! I used the same color combo and combined some stars with the Say it With Scallops stamp set. Finished it off with some wide black grosgrain (non-SU!). Give the combo a try: Basic Black, Pacific Point, and Riding Hood Red! See what you think? Hugs,
