MFT Teasers-Day 5

** please see my previous post for this week's CR84FN Challenge**

We are on day 5 of the November My Favorite Things teasers. Today is the à la mode preview. We took a short break with these girlies and I'm happy to see them back in the their holiday best! Two sets releasing this month: Sparkling Season & You Shine! Makes me Happy!!!
Up first is the YOU SHINE  ALM.  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch to show her off.

I used some Basic Grey holiday papers and pieced up her sweater with a polka dotted print.  The rest of her was colored up with Copics. Each light bulb was topped with some Crystal Effects. Love the realistic shine it gives them.

I cut out an oval (Oval Stax 1 & 2) and matted her on to a larger oval Die-namics in PAVER RED CS.  The card base is Sweet Tooth and then I used Hot Fudge to matt the other layers.

I accented her with a FISHTAIL FLAGS STAX  (original and Layers). Then tucked in a LET IS SNOW snowflake and a star from STAR STAX DIE-NAMICS.  The star was a great spot to add my sentiment. To pull out a little more of the deep, rich red, I tied on a PAVER RED BUTTON with some Twine.

Up next is my second ALM card, but this time I used the SPARKLING SEASON STAMP SET

Have you played along with this month's Guest Designer Contest??? There is still time to play.   You can read all about it HERE.

This is the sketch for this month's Challenge:

And Here is my card. I have had this idea in my head for weeks.  It was nice to finally let it come out and play ;)
ETA:
Following the sketch, I used the PEEK A BOO SQUARED DIE-NAMICS, pieced up with different holiday papers for the different circles. Pretty quick to do, thanks to this Die-namics.

I stamped her on to x-press blending card stock and colored her with copics. After some self-teaching, practice,  and reading  up on some coloring tips from the newest Copic Coloring magazine, I have been really working on shading and hair techniques. I think I am getting better.

I did piece up the ornament and gave it a touch of sparkle with a red rhinestone. Paper is Authentique-Festive.

I gave the sentiment a little wave by bending up the ends and placing a double layer of dimensionals in the middle. The SENTIMENT STRIPS DIE-NAMICS  was the perfect size for this sentiment. I stamped the words with MFT WILD CHERRY INK and sponged the edges with the MFT JELLYBEAN GREEN INK

Here is the finished inside of my card. I added another sentiment from the set, stamped again in MFT WILD CHERRY INK and added a few holly leaves from the cool new JUMBO STOCKING DIE-NAMICS. A  few red rhinestones to make it sparkle!
