My first card today features two of the new stamp sets,Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps and Blossoms and Banners Autumn Stamps. I combined them to make this sweet card using this week's Color Throwdown colors (I'm this week's host.....see the details for THAT challenge at the end of this post).
I started with some ink smooshing in the background and then stamped the pie and the banner and used my Copic markers to color them up. I used the coordinating die for for the banner, it's called Blossom and Banners Autumn dies and I fussy cut the pie image. I did use the Pie Die Set to cut out the whipped cream topper and then hit it with some Stickles glitter. mmmmmmm. So good! here's a close up. I adore the sweet sentiment from Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps.
Switching gears to a bit of Christmas, I used the gorgeous new Classic Christmas Stamps, the mistletoe image, and embossed it a few times with white embossing powder and then sponged on some Distress Oxide inks to make the image pop.
I used one of the new (AMAZING, I might add) new holiday word dies to keep the focus on the beautiful stamped image. I am a sucker for a giant word die, this one is called Happy Holidays Word Die and I cut it twice in two different colors to create a shadow effect. I love how it turned out. You need them all....just saying.
