I'm Late, but I'm here!!

So much for being prepared way ahead of time. I seriously had this month's project completed two weeks ago and thought I had plenty of time to get my post up. I'm still feeling a bit behind from being away all last week. I swear I thought the 6th was still 2 days away. I was sitting in the middle of my son's basketball game and had a rush of panic wash over me, knowing I was forgetting something.
Anyway, I'm here, finally, with this month's Limelight monthly challenge. Our theme this month was handmade flowers. They are HOT right now and I love that there are so many ways to make pretty, easy, and affordable flower embellishments. Here's what I did.

I used some punched, gorgeous Oct. Afternoon dp, Basic grey buttons, faux suede ribbon, and brown burlap thread to make these flowers. I think it took me all of about 20 minutes to put them together. Each of the paper flowers have 6 punched out layers, and I stitched the ribbon flowers like I did here.

I also made a birthday card to match and put one of my flowers on it. I love how this turned out. I used the awesome new birthday set from Unity,It's Your Day, along with many of the same elements I used to create the flowers. The cake was colored with copics. I'm off to see what the rest of the DT did with their handmade flower challenge.

Limelight Sketch and Product Focus

It's been two weeks already, so it's time for another round of a sketch and product challenge by Limelight Papercrafts. I've been working waaay ahead on my DT duties, which feels great, BUT I almost missed one big detail on this card-The Paint!!!! Glad I went back and read the details, lol! Here's this week's sketch:and our product focus is Paint. There are quite a few fun choices for paint out there, I fortunately have some Shimmerz Paint and I used it like frosting on my cake image. It is so shimmery and fun! I also took some liberty with the sketch,I used a rounded panel on the top, but the basic layout is still there. How about this wonderful new Birthday set, by Unity???? It was a must have in my book-the numbers included in the set are HUGE, not to mention all the different birthday sentiments and this cake image-yummy! It's called It's Your Day! and it was one I asked Mandy to stock....did you know that? If there is ever anything you are looking for and Limelight doesn't have it in stock, all you have to do is ask. Mandy is great at trying to get in special orders or product request. It's all part of the fabulous customer service she provides!Okay, three other products I used on my card that you can find in the store are my dp-Garden Variety, the button-basic grey, and the brown burlap string (I'm thinking I need a whole spool of this stuff-♥ it!!!!)

A Little Thank-you!

I made a few of these little 3x3 note cards to include with some {ippity} orders that have gone out this week. I'm so excited about all the ordering that has been taking place. Post no2-Ippity H{ippity} Hop

It's another fun Monday full of {ippity} inspiration. This week Kelly is our challenge girl and she asked us to make a Boy Card. As promised, I did not use Where You Should Be this week. Fishy Philosophy got some ink this time and I love how my card turned out. This set is just too fun, and I'm so glad I have it in my collection. Here's what I did with it! This card took me a bit longer than usual to create, but it was well worth it! I think the extra details really make the card! I also got to cut into my new Cosmo Cricket dp, Joy Ride. All those polka dots reminded me of bubbles.Check out my sentiment....I combined the birthday greeting from Just Wanted to Say with the Fintastic and came up with a fun birthday card!

Post no.1-Guess What???

It's a great start to the month of March!!!! I am so excited to share the news, Jessica asked me to be a Trendsetter with There She Goes Stamps!!!!

I discovered this wonderful stamp company well over a year ago and I'm sad to say I haven't given them the love they needed. You know, too many stamps, too little time! Well, no more my friends, cuz for the next 6 months I get to share them all with you, and I couldn't be happier!

I won't see my new stamps till we get back, but lucky me I already have some There She Goes stamps. I got this beauty inky so I'd have a card to share today.

I love this sentiment from the Side By Side stamp set, and I paried it with one of the gorgeous flowers from the set, too.

Purple Flowers and Dots

I've got an {ippity} card for you today! I made this waaaaay back on the 15th for the Release Day challenges. Maria posted a wonderful inspiration challenge full of purples, black and white, flowers and polka dots. Here's what I did for her challenge.

The dots in the background are from the Love in Return set

and the flowers are part of the What Matter's Most set.

Papertrey Ink Feb. Blog Hop

It's time for another day of Papertrey Ink fun and wonderful inspiration. On the 25th of each month there is a blog hop for PTI customers to show their stuff. This month's theme was to honor a DT member by casing one of them. I've been a long time admirer of Maile Balles and when I saw that she was asked to join the PTI DT, I was so thrilled. Her style is so refreshing! I chose this card of her's to CASE.

I just adored that punched out circle with the flowers in the center. Here's what I did using Everyday Button Bits! It's a total Chickie card! I used dp (Garden Variety-Cosmo Cricket) instead of the stamped edge, added some stitching and a punched border. I seriously think summer sunrise is one of my all time FAVE PTI colors and I ♥ it in the stitched ribbon. Thanks for stopping by and Thanks, Maile for the inspiration!
