Today is all about the bunnies. Are you ready for some cuteness overload?? Up first is a little Easter duo.
I used the new Carrot Treat Holder Die to make a sweet little box (just cut two and adhere them together, easy peasy!) for some Lemon Head treats (my favorite). I tied on some green twine for a carrot topper and added one of the new Charm Tags Dies. I love the stitched detail around the scalloped base. I stamped the Hello from Happy Bunny stamp set.
I'm a sucker for a great shaped card, and I knew I just had to try this Peek A Boo Bunny die as an actual bunny shaped card. I started with a top folding A2 card base in white card stock. I slid the die down just a bit so the ears were still hinged at the top. It took a few times through my die cut machine, with a metal shim to get the double layer of card stock to cut all the way through two layers (Next time I might try some thinner card stock). I then cut another white full Peek A Boo Bunny Die and glued it on top of my hinged bunny card base.
I just adore the little bunny accents included in the die set. It really makes for easy and quick assembly. I stamped a little Spring greeting from the Easter Parade Stamp set. How cute would these be as place settings on your Easter Table. You could fill the little Carrot Treat Box with anything.
My next project is a card with the oh-so cool Easter Egg Pop-up Cover Up die. Such a great way to add fun texture and dimension to your Easter cards. I colored mine up with some water colors in soft pretty pastels.
Here is a close up shot of the pop-up detail. It is really cool, don't you think?
I went ahead and added some bunny love with the happy Bunny Border die. I used just one of the dies and decided it would be cute to show off their back sides. I cut the bunny tails with some felt and glued them on. I stamped a sentiment from Happy Bunny in a soft grey ink. I tied on some twine to finish it off.
My final bunny card is actually a birthday card. I used the Easter Parade stamp set to make a birthday by customizing the banner sentiments.
I colored up the bunnies and chicks with my Copics and then used the Easter Parade dies to cut them out. I used the Stitched Mats Rectangle dies to cut a white frame and then in the background I cut a panel of Mist card stock with the Quilted Stitched Spirals Cover Up. Here's a closer look at the parade of cuties.
