Lil' Inker Desings April Release

It's our final day showing off all the Brand New goodies just released from LID! What are your favorites? I love to see what you all order.  It's time for the APRIL Release from Lil' Inker Designs. There is a whole lot of awesomeness happening here.  Laura has all the release info, plus a look at all the great products you'll want to get your hands on today. You can order the FULL release NOW.  We've had three days jam packed with great projects. The fun starts over on the LID Blog.

First up from me today are two cards showing the cool Vintage Ink stamp set and coordinating Vintage Ink dies. I used a similar layout for each card and show you how easy it is to make a feminine and masculine card simply by swapping out images and changing up colors. Plus I got a head start on my Mother's Day and Father's Day cards.

I used the Dual Stitched Rectangle dies to make my frame to showcase the Vintage Ink stamps.

I used Copic markers to color up the flowers and leaves and then cut them out with the Vintage Ink dies

I stamped the banner image and "mother's" sentiment with die ink and then heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder. I loved doing this on vellum, so I didn't have to cover up the heart that was stamped in the background.

For my dad card, I embossed the anchor image with white embossing powder and then added some shading detail with copic markers. I stamped the leaves with Limelight ink.

I did the banner the same way on this card but switched up the colors to Tropical Teal and Chocolate. The stitched border was creating by cutting out the kraft panel with the Dual Stitched Rectangle.

My final card for this release was so fun to make. I had fun with my distress inks and a favorite technique that anyone can do.

I embossed the awesome new We Connect circles with clear embossing powder onto watercolor card stock. I then used my Distress markers to add a touch of color along the edge of each circle and pulled out the color with an Aqua Painter. I used a rainbow of colors and then added some black splatter. The sentiment is from Just Sayin'. It's a must have sentiment set.....just sayin'! lol. This sentiment just makes me giggle and I know just who I am giving this card too.

Here is a close up of the watercoloring. You can also see I used Dual Stitched Rectangles again to make a sweet frame for my card. Yep, Love these dies. I can't stop using them.

Off you go, Laura Williams is up next. I'll meet you over there. I know she'll have some beautiful eye cand for us.

Thanks for hanging with me the past three days. I hope you loved my LID projects. I had a blast sharing with you for this release. Happy Shopping!
