LID Surprise Mini Release

Surprise mini Release from Lil' Inker Designs. Laura was super excited about these new Dual Stitched dies she didn't want you to have to wait for them. I'm soooo glad she isn't waiting. The two new dies are Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles and Dual Stitched Squares as well as some wire cutting pliers.

I have included some of the product details below, but my favorite part of these sets is that they fully cut an A2 panel for the rectangle and a 4.25 inch square for the square mats. I almost always  create my card on a separate card stock layer AND then adhere that to my card base. I did that with this card. 4.25 square cards are my favorite sized square card because they still fit in an A2 envelope.

I made this pretty card, inspired by the current Color Throwdown Challenge-orange, pink, and navy.

I used two of the Dual Stitched Square dies. The largest one and then the next size down. After I cut my blue pattern layer with the largest Dual Stitched Square Mat, I placed the next size in the middle of the blue paper layer to cut out the middle and since it's a dual stitched die, I got the stitching on the outside, too. This created a frame that I popped up foam dimensionals.

I used the same sized die to cut out some smooth white card stock. I used that to stamp the sentiment and floral details.

I used the gorgeous new stamp sets, Paint Your Canvas and Really Rosemaling to make this main image panel. I used the awesome new Ombre' Inks by Hero Arts for my sentiment. I tucked in this finished panel into the middle of the blue frame I created. Some sequins give it the right amount of sparkle.

Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles feature THREE THINGS customers and friends of LID have been asking for!
1. Additional sizes of stitched rectangles
2. A die that cuts an A2 stitched rectangle (instead of just cutting a stitched border like our original set)
3. A set of Dual Stitched Rectangles

Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares:
1. The largest die cuts a perfect 4.25" x 4.25" stitched square; a handier more card-friendly stitched mat size!
2. Additional sizes of stitched squares
3. Three dies featuring Dual Stitching!

The new wire cutting pliers are a smaller 4.50" size with a comfort grip handle and are of EXCELLENT quality. They make separating wired dies so super easy! I'm really happy to see Laura is adding this tool to the shop. I have been using my old, SU Craft & Rubber scissors to cut apart my dies. They are just not getting the done, easily. I REALLY have to work the scissors and I end up with the teeny little metal tabs flying all over my craft room. Having the RIGHT tool for the job is a GOOD  thing!

Make sure you pop over to the LID Blog for all the rest of the details with this mini release. There is a special deal on the new Mini Canvas Die and Mini Easel.
