Coffee Lovers Blog Hop-Good Day, Sunshine

It's time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I was super excited when I found out that Lil' Inker Designs was one of the Sponsors. I love the Coffee Cozy dies and used it along with the Large Sunshine die to make this bright, sunshiney card! The sweet little smile is a stamp from Piece of Me stamp set.

I started this with the new Silly Stitched Dies and gave it a water colored wash with my Distress Inks. After the panel was dried I used the same ink colors (persimmon, scattered straw, and Early Espresso) to give it the splattering, which is always a fun finish to a water colored background.

The sentiment is from Sunshine Sentiments. I thought it was a perfect fit for my card. Lil' Inker is giving away a $30 gift certificate with this hop.

Reverse Confetti Spring Fling

It's a surprise Blog Hop with the Reverse Confetti Team! We wanted to help welcome in Spring with some craftiness! You'll see the Blog Hop line up at the end of my post. Our hop today is showcasing Spring projects other than cards. I have been seeing lots of pretty felt projects lately, so I got busy with my felt stash and the Reverse Confetti dies and created this sweet home decor frame. I am in love with the Butterfly Wishes Confetti Cuts (and stamps!!). I cut the two largest sizes from pink and yellow felt and then used the adorable tiny heart from the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cut. I tried different sized hearts and I loved the size of this one.

I used two different colors of green felt for my Leafy border. I just tucked them around the edges. This was an almost no sew project. I used Scor -tape to adhere down all my felt pieces. The only sewing was the little French Knots I added to the small flowers. Those were cut from The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts. I just looked up a quick tutorial on Youtube on how to make them and practiced a few times on a scrap piece of left before I added them to my project. Here is a closer look. I love the homemade feel these added to the frame.

I stamped the sentiment from Whole Lotta Happy in black ink along the bottom of the canvas. I love using my MISTI to ink up projects like this. I can re-ink my sentiment multiple times to get a good impression.

March SFYTT-Happy Birthday

This card is for the current Reverse Confetti SFYTT. This is a month long challenge and we hope you play along. Jen comes up with the best sketches. I used the Shakers 'n Frames Confetti Cuts to add the small rounded squares cut from the So Very Spring-Quick Card Panel. I just love the festive feel of the colorful herringbone pattern.

I then used the awesome Happy Pretty Panel and left the letters in place for the start of my sentiment. I stamped "birthday" from Whole Lotta Happy in Green Monster ink along the bottom to complete the birthday greeting. I brought a little more party to the card with some gold glittery stars cut from Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts.

A few things you might want to know about the SFYTT:

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th. The SFYTT button is posted on the sidebar. Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.

Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win. This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps. Anyone is welcome to play, though!

Color Throwdown no.384-Kindness Matters

Welcome to this week's beautiful color combination from the Color Throwdown Challenge.

Barbara is our hostess for this week. She picked a gorgeous Spring photo that I think you will love. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: lavender, red, and green, you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well. I got inky with the Butterfly Wishes stamp set. I used the Butterfly Wishes Confetti Cuts and layered up the larger butterfly with a red card stock butterfly. I used one of the So Very Spring-Quick Card Panels as my main image panel. I rounded two of the corners.

To get in the green I used the my favorite Leafy die and a few sprigs of leaves from the Flower Wrap die. I also added some red flowers from the same die. Behind it all I used the banner from Flowers For Mom to anchor it all together. I have to admit I was intimidated by the red and purple together, but I really love how this all turned out.

Sugar Pea Designs Sugar Sketch 45

It's Wednesday and it's my third week with the Sugar Pea Designs Sugar Sketch. I flipped this week's sketch and used a combo of stamps and die cut word to create the stripes from sketch.

I used the My Hero stamp set and the stars are from the Gift Tag Sugar Cuts.

The Thanks Sugar Cut die was used as one of my stripes and finished the greeting with a sentiment from My Hero. Here is a closer look at the cutie pie hero. I used copics to color him up and then did a little fussy cutting to cut him out.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge-Rainbows

Welcome to the new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge! We hope you'll play along.

Here is my sample for the challenge. I created my own rainbow with the Weather It Confetti Cuts. I layered it up on the new pierced circle from Flowers for Mom and added the Happy Birthday greeting with some white embossing powder. I love those sentiments from Whole Lotta Happy.

I also stamped a trio of the smallest butterflies from Butterfly Dreams. I cut them out with the coordinating Butterfly Wishes dies. Here is a closer detail of the dies I used. It's all layered up with the Quick Card Panel-So Very Spring.
