MFT sponsor for Card Positioning Systems

How cool is this? My Favorite Things is the sponsor for the sketch challenge blog called Card Postitioning Systems. All you have to do is play along, link up your sketch, and you could win a prize from MFT. You can see some samples on the CPS Blog.

Here's the card I did up using the beautiful hot air balloon set called, Up, Up, and  Away! I used more of the Outta the Blue papers by My Mind's Eye...they are a prefect mathc with these balloons. You'll also spy the newer double scallop die-namic border and instead of the flat bottom clouds that coordinate with this stamp set, I wanted a more puffy, cloud effect....so I pulled out the Cloud Trio die-namic. The hot air balloons were paper pieced and attached with dimensionals. I also can't help but mention the yummy cardstock...hot fudge and whipcream....two of my faves!

I'm looking forward to seeing what others do with this sketch. Have fun with it!

Here's one more card with the new Frist Place Award Ribbon stamp set and die-namic. It was perfect for a card for my little guy's soccer coach. We wrap up the season on Saturday and the team will sign this. I used this week's WSC23 sketch to make it. You'll see

And a shot of the inside. I used a sentiment from the WTG-Teacher's Pet set. I kept it short and sweet so the boys had room to write their names. At 4 they need LOTS of room. LOL!

In  place of the oval, I used the cool new die-namic....it's so fun and SOOOO versatile. I can't wait to see it start popping up all over blog land and in the SCS gallery. I know you will all love it as much as I do. I also played up the stars and used the Star Border die-namic in place of the scallops and added ribbon instead of the banner strip....I know, I'm a rebel-NOT! Just making the sketch work for me. LOL!

Tonight I've saved a few goodies for you.  I'm most excited to show you a little more about the fabby new Rainbow Die-namic!

It is sooo, so fun and EASY to use. Be sure to check out this great HOW-TO from Jody. Thanks, girlie!

One of the best things about papercrafting....you don't have any rules....normally a rainbow follows the ROYGBIV order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet)..... BUT when making cards or scrapbooking....your rainbow can be ANY color and pattern you want it to be! I had fun with the My Mind's Eye papers-lime twist. 

 I mixed and matched and ended up with this cute CAS card.  I used the Cloud trio  with felt, a button and twine and the new Large simply Scallops border.

This die-namic is a match made in heaven with the Great Outdoors Sentiment set! Get it....you won't be sorry! 

In the process of assembling many rainbows, one combo of papers made me think about watermelons.....AND this card came to be. I used 4 different die-namics:

• Rainbow
• the circle from Sweet Stacks
• the smallest leaves from Flower Trio and Leaf Trio for the seeds
• AND a banner sentiment flag from the new First Place Award Ribbon

Love when a card like this just happens....sentiment is from More Essential Sentiments.

NOTHING to do with rainbows....just wanted to share it, since I haven't had a chance yet. It's a Pure Innocence Rose card.

 Sure had fun coloring her up with copics and piecing her up with 5 & dime papers by Oct. Afternoon. I mounted her on the smallest doily from the new Dainty Doily duo. You'll also see a border of the new Open Bracket die-namic and at the top a bit of the small simply scallops border.

 I did up this card with the Enjoy the Ride set.  Was inspired by Megan and used a tag....seriously love tags....fun shapes, a little unexpected, and a great way to show off an image. Papers are the Happily Lost designer papers by Lily Bee Designs. Lots of die-namics.....all new, releasing tonight.

Gotta HAVE them-First Place Award Ribbon and Open Bracket border.

(seriously....this is a MUST HAVE. Each piece it separate...works great alone or matched up with it's parts. I CAN'T stop using the fish-tail ribbon pieces. It's my favorite way to add a sentiment).  You'll also see the Large Simply Scallops border on the inside.

  I told you.....LOVE that First Place Award Ribbon die-namic. I used it again for this Journey card.   Soft and pretty...perfect for this sentiment and a mini rolled rose in felt to finish this off.

Today we are sharing these sets: Sunbathing Flopsey, Inspired by Flowers (set 2), AND a special peek at one of our new die-namics....Rainbow Die-namics. 

 I'm warning you, it's a great die, you're going to want to have it.... it's fun, and addicting. The one day I sat down to work with it, I ended up making 4 different cards.  I'm only showing 1 today....it's a teaser day, after all. LOL. This die-namic is a perfect FIT with the great sentiment set called The Great Outdoors. If you didn't order this set a few months back, you'll want to make sure it jumps in your cart this month. It is a great all occasion set that works perfectly with soooo many of our die-namic dies. I also used Cloud Trio and Fresh Cut grass die-namics.

 I even did up the inside.....so I could use the rest of the sentiment on the inside. Love that. Inking up part of a sentiment and using it in two different places...helps you get more bang for your buck!  I used 2 of the layers from the Well Worn Greetings die-namic in coordinating papers. Finished it off with a button quartet die-namic and some twine.

 I also have a trio of cards using the second set in our Inspired by Flowers series.  Still lovin' these Picket Fences papers. Each of these cards are a little different, but they all coordinate and I was able to package them up to give to one of the boy's teachers as a token  of my appreciation for all she did this year.

 Each of the flowers were stamped in Vintage Cream ink on soft suede cs.

New die-namics you'll spy.....Large Simply Scallops border, open bracket border, and the dainty doily duo (the larger one of the two).

I've got 2 cards to share today

masculine set

The Man!

I used My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist-outta the blue for both my cards.

Love the colors.

On this first one, I used three of the shirt tags as a border

for the cool man shirt.

This one is going to hubby on Father's Day!

 Then for this one, I used the MFT WSC sketch,

More of those fun papers

AND turned one of the shirt tags into an actual tag.

A quick hole punch and tied it up with some twine.

Both cards, I colored the shirt with copics and pieced up the tie.
