June 15-Curtain Call-Tasty Tropics

So I kinds of laugh at myself and where I found my inspiration. See that sweet flower in the mermaid's hair. Once I saw it, I knew I could use it for this week's challenge. The new Mermaid Kisses stamp set is just too sweet. She hasn't left my desk, yet. I colored her up with my Copics and then added a touch of sparkle with some clear Stickles.

I got some green in there (also from the inspiration photo) with the sea grass and and used the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts to cut it them all out. I mounted it all the finished pieces up on the gorgeous new Scalloped Tag Layered Confetti Cut.

Color Throwdown 397-birthday wishes

Hi, everyone! Lori is our hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. The colors from this week's inspiration photo are kraft, yellow, and green. The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post. And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD397 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd397 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!). All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar of the CTD Blog in case you have any questions.

I pulled out my Reverse Confetti Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts and made this sweet birthday card with this week's colors. I did a little ink blending with my Distress inks-Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed. I added some clean water splatters and then a few drops of White Studio Calio Mr. Huey spray. I set that aside and cut out my balloons with the Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts.

I added the dotted detail to the bottom of my balloons with the Celebrations stamp set with Field Day ink. I used a greeting from the same set for my sentiment and I white embossed it on a strip of black card stock. I wasn't quite sure how to add in the kraft color, so I kept it minimal with some kraft burlap twine and the mounted my main image panel on a piece of kraft cs. I used a scattering of sequins to finish off the details.

Reverse Confetti June Release

Wooohoo! It's time.....the Reverse Confetti June Release is LIVE!! I have had so much fun sharing my new release projects with you all these past three days. We have one more day full of all the new products. I got a little sea critter happy with this card. I just adore all the bits and pieces included in the Mermaid Kisses stamp set. I cut down a piece of x-press it blending card stock and stamped the critters onto it and then used my copic markers to color them up. I used some stickles glitter to add some bits of shimmer and sparkle.

I stamped a sentiment from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set onto black card stock and heat embossed it with some white embossing powder. I added the beautiful Sand Dollar Confetti Cut to embellish it and even added a purple wavy border cut from the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.

I am sliding this one in at the end. I couldn't NOT use those awesome new outline stars from Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts.

I also created a sweet little patriotic tag (Topped Off Tag and Top 'O Tag Confetti Cuts) with some stamps from Because of the Brave. That little USA border stamp is my favorite. I tied it all off with some of the new Firecracker Twine. I added the finished tag over the circle cut out from Big Stripes Cover Plate Confetti Cut. Gosh how I love that die! It is so versatile and looks great with everything.

Lil' Inker Designs June Rlease

Wow! It is our last day with the Lil' Inker Designs June release. I have enjoyed sharing all my projcets with you this week. Super excited to share this card. I mixed some old with new on this and love how it turned out. One of the most exciting thing is the new Coffee Talk Dies. yay! love that my stamps have matching dies. I stamped the coffee cup and then used the dies to cut them out.

So I started this card with some distress inks (ground espresso and lucky clover) and smooshed them around to make this water colored back drop for my card. I used a sentiment from Coffee Talk stamped along the bottom and then ran the water color layer through my Vagabond with the cool border die from Hello, Beautiful. I also decided to add the Silly Stitched Dies border around my card base.

I completed my sentiment with a few more new release products. I stamped the word "hello" with the amazing new Sassy Script Alphabet set. It is soooo pretty and really easy to work with. I cut three layers of the new Coffee Word Die and sponged some of the ground espresso distress ink.

Color Throwdown 396 -Crabby Love

Yummy! These colors are so beautiful, don't you think? Hello CTD fans! I am so excited to be your hostess for this week's challenge. We have been kicking off summer here in the Midwest and this image and it's colors were so refreshing and inviting. I hope you enjoy working with them. Remember we use generic colors, so feel free to use any peach, raspberry, plum and white you have and create something beautiful!

Today kicks off the Reverse Confetti June Release, so I couldn't help but use more of the fun sea themed products for my card today. I cut the Scalloped Cover Panel 4 times, once from white and then filled in each of the pieces in a gradient color pattern from Plum, to Raspberry, and finishing the bottom off with some peach.

I used the pretty purple ombre' ink to color up my crab from Seaside and then used the matching Seaside Confetti Cuts to cut him out with the perfect white border. I stamped a Seaside sentiment onto a banner from Flowers For Mom and added some sequins and the teeny heart from Layered Snowflake Confetti Cut.

Today I have a card with the new Because of the Brave stamp set. I love all the patriotic sentiments, but I went with the more generic one because I needed a Thank-you card. I always need thank-you cards.

Check out those stars....yes! New star dies, these are called Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts. The fun polka dots are from the By the Sea Quick Card Panels. **don't forget to grab these while you can. they are a limited edition product** I used one of the cool Edger Confetti Cuts to show off my stars and sentiment. Love that. Some sequins finish the card.
