Lil' Inker Designs June Release-Day 2

It's day two for the LID June Release. I hope you love what you saw yesterday, if you missed it be sure to check it out. We have 3 days full of amazing projects just for you! The fun all starts on the LID Blog, so be sure to start over there.

I have two cards for you today using different stamps and dies. Let's kick things off with this sweet baby card. It all started with the gorgeous bird from the Hello, Beautiful stamp set. I found this one much easier to stamp and line up (there is a great index card on the webiste) if I die cut the bird with the Hello, Beautiful die first. Then I stamped the bird and all his parts. I knew he would make a great accent on a baby card. 

I used lots of the dies from the Warm Welcome die set, and stamped the "sweet baby" onto the banner piece. I then tucked in a few leaves from the Warm Welcome stamp set and added the wreath die in the background. I then cut three of the Welcome Word Dies and glued them together for easy dimension on an intricate die. I mounted it all onto a white piece of card stock cut with the Silly Stitched Dies. 

Next is a totally different style of card, but I love it just as much. It's such a fun, girly birthday card. I started this one with some ink smooshing onto water color card stock. Once the paper was dry, I used the Dual Dotted Border Builder Die to cut a pretty curve. I then stamped the sentiment from Mirror, Mirror onto the left side of the card. 

I used the Mirror Mirror Die to cut out the little mirror and added the Mirror Reflective Specialty paper to the center. You can get your hands on that paper for FREE when you purchase the Mirror, Mirror set anytime before June 12. The Mirror Mirror Stamps AND Dies AND papers should be added to shopping cart and the code MIRRORMIRROR should be applied at checkout.

Countdown to Confetti-Day 2

Welcome back. It's day two of the Countdown to Confetti and I am so glad you are here. The Reverse Confetti June release is happening on June 8th and we have a few more days to show you the amazing new stamps and Confetti Cuts.

I have a sunshiny water colored card to share today and I am so excited that Jen added another edition to the the faith based stamps. This one is called My Heart Trusts. I started by water coloring a panel of Tim Holtz water color distress paper. I used Ripe Persimmon, Scattered Straw, and Carved Pumpkin. Once my panel was dry, I used a detail paint brush and added some splatter. When this was dry, I ran the panel through with the Sunburst Cover Panel. It's awesome! I then ran it through my die cut machine again, but this time with white card stock. I adhered all the water colored pieced into the negative space of the white card stock Sunburst Cover Panel. 

I stamped the sentiment from My Heart Trusts onto the center circle. I couldn't resist adding the stitched detail from the Detailed Circles Confetti Cut. I tied on some Marigold Solid Twine and added some sequins to accent the sunburst. 

The release goes live on June 6!

Hello LID fans!! It is a super busy week here on the blog. I am so excited to get to share all the beautiful new stamps and dies that Lil' Inker Designs is releasing! We have 3 days full of amazing projects just for you! The fun all starts on the LID Blog, so be sure to start over there.

Today I have a couple cards I created with the Hello, Beautiful stamp set. This first one might just be my favorite from the release. I just adore those flowers. I stamped it twice onto water color paper and cut it out with the Dual Stitched Rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice ink and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to give it a pretty water color look. 

Check out those great scallops!! They are from the new Fringe Scalloped Squares die and I carefully fluffed them up for a great 3D effect. 

My next card I used the Fringe Scalloped Border Builder die. I just love the detail it adds. I split the panel a bit, so the pretty polka dotted paper could show through. The whole panel was cut with the Dual Stitched Rectangle Die. The sentiment is from the Hello Beautiful Stamp set and the flower is too.

 I used the matching Hello, Beautiful Dies make for perfect cuts every time! Here is a closer look at the top of the card. 

And here is the detail along the bottom. I accented the sentiment with some sequins. Aren't those scallops just the coolest??!!

Countdown to Confetti-RC June Release

Today we are hitting the beach with a couple of adorable new nautical themed sets and Confetti Cuts. You will love them-Mermaid Kisses and Sea Side. First up from me is a mermaid shaker card. Did you gasp with joy? I did when I first saw this set AND that amazing new Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cut. Seriously, love at first sight!

I just adore this sweet little mermaid. I colored her up with my copics and used the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cut to cut her out. I tucked in a sweet little starfish cut from the Sand Dollar Confetti Cut. What a fun accent. I did a little ink blending to it and topped it with a purpley sequin. 

I created a shaker card with the circle opening. I cut a couple of larger solid circles with Scallops 'n Circles, one from vellum and one from Copic x-press it blending card stock. On the Blending card stock, I stamped a few of the little critters from Mermaid Kisses and colored them up. I glued the vellum behind the Scalloped Cover Panel and also added the awesome stitched detail thanks to last month's release of Detailed Circles. It gives a nice frosted look to under the sea. I added a small pile of sequins in coordinating colors, too. The sentiment was stamped on the banner from Flowers For Mom, it's my favorite. 

Up next is my whale card. I just love all the images in the Sea Side stamp set. The solid images are awesome. I chose the whale for today. I stamped him in grey ink and used the Sea Side Confetti Cuts to cut him out.  I topped it on the gorgeous new Scalloped Tag Layer. I left some of the pieces in and popped some of them out. I think it is a cool look. I added the sentiment to the Flowers for Mom banner. I topped the whole tag off with a Hang Ups Confetti Cut

I layered the whale tag onto one of the amazing new By the Sea Quick Card Panel cut with the Documented Confetti Cut. **Remember....those Quick Card Panels are a Limited Addition product. Once they sell out, they are gone.*** I added some vellum waves with the Doin' The Wave Confetti Cut. It's all tied up with some Natural Solid Twine.

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

I used some Lil' Inker Designs stamps and dies for my card. As I was flipping through my stash I eyes landed on the giant anchor from the Vintage Ink stamp set. I stamped it on to a neutral pattern from the Tribal Chic 6x6 paper pack and cut it out with a Dual Stitched Mats-Circle die. In the background I used my new favorite Cover Up-Tribal Chic. I cut some Blueberry card stock with the Stitched Mats: Side-Stitched Rectangles. I love all the extra detail the stitched details add to a rather simple card. The sentiment is from Vintage Ink, too and I used the Vintage Ink dies to cut out the banner. I embellished this with some twine, a wood veneer heart and some enamel dots.

Color Throwdown 395-Tie-Rific

Hello stampy friends! I have a new card for this week's Color Throwdown 395 Challenge. I just love the earthy feel of these colors. Green and kraft together have aways been one of my favorite duos. So glad Jodi picked these colors for this week. 

As you may be aware, we use generic colors here at The Color Throwdown, and this week I am challenging you to use kraft, green and cream!  Please also feel free to incorporate any neutrals into your creation!  This is all about having fun!

So I made another Father's Day card, but this one is for Papa. I really love that the Reverse Confetti set, Tie-rific includes a few different ways to say dad or grandpa. My boys call their grandpas, Papa, so this is perfect. 

I was kind of bummed the water colored background looks a bit more aqua or turquiose than I wanted. It is the Lucky Clover Distress ink but I do love how my background turned out so I decided to just go with it. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Pigment Ink right over top once the water color panel dried. I added a strip of kraft card stock and die cut a row of dots with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cut. I stamped the tie in Field Day dye ink and then used the Tie-Rific Confetti Cut to cut it out. I added some wood veneer stars and sequins in green and kraft to finish  off my card.
