Day 2 Lil' Inker Designs June Release

Thanks for the warm welcome to the LID team. It's day two of the June Release with Lil' Inker Designs. I'm super excited to show you what else I have created with the fabulous new products. All stamps and dies are available for purchase in the LID shop NOW!

I have two cards today showing off the most adorable stamp set. I love when a smaller set packs in sooo many possibilities. It's called Piece of Me and the coordinating dies, Puzzle Pieces are just too, sweet! 

I cut a bunch of puzzle pieces in fun, bright colors along with a few Stitched Hearts and tucked them into one of the sweet Glassine Envelopes. I tied it up with some orange bakers twine and added a sweet little Anytime Tag.  The sentiment is from Piece of Me.

I have another card for you and I hope it makes you smile. It is one of those cards that turned out just how I envisioned it in my head. It's simple, and so sweet! I think I'm giving this one to hubby for our anniversary this year. 

I used Stitched Mats-Square die to cut my Lawn Fawn Let's polka paper and added a Stitched Mats-Circle die to the middle of it. I used the Puzzle Pieces dies to cut two pieces that fit together. I gave them some personality with the adorable faces included in the Piece of Me stamp set. 

I tied on some twine and added some pretty lashes with my Copic multi liner pen. I love that I could personalize this piece with just a few extra touches.

 Check out what I have done with this awesome new set. 

The stamp set is called Thumbs Up! and it is oh-so-cool! Lots of great, on-trend sayings that coordinate with the fun double thumbs up stamp. I used it here to make a birthday card. 

I framed it up with the Instant Camera die. Ahhhhh, how I love the stitched details. In the background you'll noticed the fabulous Stitched Stars. I cut these twice, once on the background grid paper and then again with the striped paper. I then adhered the striped stars inside the grid paper negative spaces to create my own custom designer paper. LOVE this about these dies. 

 I'm sure you noticed the other new product right away! SQUEAL!! LID is releasing a sequins die!!! loooove these. I cut out a variety of sizes easily with one pass through my die cut machine. The Scattered Sequin die has a great mix of sizes all in one die. I added some shimmer and shine to them thanks to my Wink Of Stella pen. Here is a close up.

Curtain Call-Something Simple Unity Challenge

It's a Triple post Sunday!

Welcome back. Yes, I have been busy. It has been a great last week of the month, but I'm glad to be moving on. School is out, work is done for the year, and soccer tryouts are wrapping up. I'm so grateful in the midst of my crazy busy life, I have my card making to keep me sane. I sat down to make this soft and pretty card for this current Curtain Call Challenge. 

I always am pleased and so honored to get to work with the sponsor's products. This month holds a special place in my heart. It's Unity Stamp Co. I loved designing for them for many many years and is was hard to step away from the DT a few months ago. It sure felt like visiting an old friend when I made this card.

We have an awesome new sponsor, Unity Stamp Company!  Unity provided each of the Curtain Call designers with an Itty Bitty stamp set for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Something Simple!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive a gift certificate to Unity Stamp Company!

I loved the itty bitty I got. A Floral Hello.  One, it was designed by the fabulous Angie Blom and two, the flowers were soooo pretty.

 I used really light copic markers, ones with double 0's,  to color this one up. I really wanted to play up the white on white so I wanted the colors soft and subtle. Light aqua and purple are always a pretty combo. 

I felt like using lots of circles and round elements on the card, being inspired by the roundness of the river rocks in the photo.  I used a few of my favorite Lil' Inker Designs dies. (see links below). I then stamped the sentiment onto a die cut circle with Smoke Gray ink (simon says stamp). 

Sequins and a bundle of sewing thread were my finishing touches. I have always used twine for this lasso, bundled texture look, but I've noticed some card makers out there using a thinner thread, so I reached for my sewing kit. I had some grey thread and it matched perfectly. I think it helped with the overall softness of the card. I'll be using my thread more often.

Reverse Confetti June SFYTT {way to go shaker card}

Welcome stampy friends. The team over at Reverse Confetti is ringing in the month of June with a brand new SFYTT.  We really want you to play along. It's fun, easy, and hey...you might just get lucky and be the winner! So join in on the fun. 

Here is my card. I needed a card for graduation and the Winning Stamp set was a perfect fit. I'm still enjoying making shaker cards, so I used a mix of sequins to show off my sentiments I stamped on the  inside that circle. 

In addition to the stamping, I added lots of RC Confetti Cuts. What is that giant glittery tag and where is it from, you ask? It's the Tag Me tag by Reverse Confetti. I cut it in half and was able to "extend" it, hiding the cut seam behind the shaker element. 

 LOTS of stars from the Oh, My Stars die. Oh, My! I love it! The sizes are different from the other star dies I own, SO YES, you need these. Plus there is that great star border strip. Super cool.

SSSC221-have a gorgeous day

I have a three post Sunday for you today. So, please stop back often today.  First up is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch card. We took a few weeks off, but we are back in full force with our weekly sketch and inspiration.  

Here is my card. I used some Lil' Inker Designs stamps and dies and the cool new Blues paper from My Minds Eye's Necessities line. LOVE. Stripes, dots, chevrons in all the same colors, sure makes THIS gal happy!

 I used the blues today. Lil' inker Designs Stitched Rectangles in the background to show off the scattering of polka dots and then I opted for the Anytime Tag die for my main image panel. 

I cut the tag from vellum and stamped the sentiment from Modern Mehndi in Soft navy ink. The coordinating flower from Modern Mehndi was heat embossed in white and then I used the matching die (see links below)  to cut it out. I adhered a bundle of thread behind it for added texture.
