Dare to get Dirty {rain or shine}

But I am happy to tell you about the fabulous products I used to create this cute, pick me up card. I used my new, fun, funky and bright papers-Sketchbook by Amy Tangerine. I adore that green polka dotted paper AND how cool it looks with the chevron pattern. The umbrella and sentiment are by MFT, it's a stamp and Die-namics duo called: Umbrella. Go check it out...such a fun set to create with. 

I used the RECTANGLE STAX 1 & 2 to quickly cut out and matt the middle panel, providing the perfect place to attach my JUMBO CLOUD STAX. I cut one in SWEET TOOTH CS (so I could stamp the sentiment) and then cut the smaller one from some MFT Felt.  The Umbrella is topped off with my favorite GUMDROP GREEN BUTTON.....seriously SWOON!!!

Day 3-MFT August Teaser Time

Wow! I can't tell you how happy I am that you are back, today. It's been so nice reading all your kind words.  I am so appreciative of all your comments. You sure know how to make a girl feel the love. ♥♥♥


We have two more great sets for you today. It's our sentiment day and you're gonna love the words included in these two sets: Clearly Sentimental about Audrey Hepburn; and Clearly Sentimental about Grandparents.  CS about Audrey Hepburn was our Triple Scoop set last month, if you didn't get it for free with your orders over the last month, then, now is your chance. The font is so pretty!

 I stamped the greeting onto some WHIPCREAM cardstock that was cut with the newest die in our DESIGNER LABELS STAX family-THIS ONE IS DESIGNER LABELS 4 STAX.  It's such a classic shape and will work well with sooo, so many sentiments and images. 


I also tucked in a bit of the new WAVY EDGE. I love these non-border dies (PINKING AND MINI SCALLOP ARE TWO OF OUR LATEST ADDITIONS), and the best thing about this Die-namics is that you can cut 2 wavy edges with one pass through of your die cut machine. 


You'll also notice I added in  a scallopy PHOTO CORNER  and then stitched it all up. It was the perfect way to balance out the blue on my card. 


Of course you can ignore the amazing new flower I created. It's the gorgeous new LAYERD ROSE DIE-NAMICS.  I added some foam dimensionals between the larger layers to give it depth, but if you wanted a more flat look, just leave those off.  I just love how it looks with all 5 layers added in.

While you might recognize the LEAFY FLOURISH, look closer.....it's a new size and it's awesome!  This is the MEDIUM LEAFY FLOURISH, giving you the perfect size accent for all your flourish needs!

Inspired by the Front Porch - Fall; Mouse in the House - It's Your Birthday. 

I went a bit clean and simple with my card today. I just had to let the image speak for itself. There is so much detail...man what I wouldn't give to have a porch like this to sit and swing on, sipping some ice tea. 

I'm also showing off the new TRIPLE SCALLOP BORDER. LOVE that there are 3 different sizes included....have all my options at once makes me a happy girl. I just used one of them today, but wait until you see them layered up.  They are sooo, so pretty!

I did add a sweet little FISHTAIL FLAG STAX  Die-namics detail. A pretty MFT Spearmint Button and coordinating Cantaloupe twine. 

I just love the sentiment....."come sit awhile". What a warm, comforting way to invite a friend over.

MFTWSC83 {a funky tree}

I interrupt my Day 1 of Teaser Time with MFT, to bring you this week's Wed. Stamp Club card. Please scroll down to see a sample of the new Lisa Johnson stamp set and this month's WTG.  
I admit, this card is a bit out of my comfort zone. I fell in love with these papers when I saw them at my local scrapbook store last week. They are by American Crafts-Sketchbook by Amy Tangerine. They are bright, and funky and sooo, so fun! I am usually an earthy tone, kraft lovin' kind of girl.  I don't know why I was drawn to them, but I was and so I am using them! 
After Melody used this tree on a sample from my DTGD challenge (check out the fan club over on SCS), I was inspired to use it. Plus the leaf print in this paper, reminded me of it, too. It's a fun Die-namics-Tear Drop Tree. 

I added stitching to the tree top, giving it a break for my sentiment.  That is from the SAY WHAT STAMP SET.  Love the bold, single words included in this set. Don't forget to check out the cool woodgrain detail on the tree trunk. It's there, it's just hard to see with the pink printed paper. 

I used the trendy and oh-co-cool CHEVRON STRIPES. Some stitching and a gorgeous GUMDROP GREEN button.....hip hip hooray for a true GREEN button! The twine can also be found in the MFT Boutique, along with the Black and Gumdrop Green card stock. It's a one stop shop!

Here is this week's sketch! I love a great circle element, and I know you'll have lots of ways to fill it up cute!  Seems I can't make a card lately with out my CIRCLE STAX 1 & 2 DIE-NAMICS.

MFT August Teasers!!!

We have two fantastic sets debuting today....something familiar and something Brand NEW!!! It's WTG day and our newest addition to the MFT Family of stamps and Die-namics, Lisa Johnson's new set. 

Since I am in love with the card I made....it's the GREAT stamps and amazing matching  Die-namcis I tell you!!! I am going to start with this one. 

Lisa's new set is called Circus Spectacular...and it is SPECTACULAR!!

I made a sweet, gender neutral birthday card. I am a lover of giraffes.  They are my favorite zoo animal (Polar Bears are a close second). These images stamp so nicely (I used Graphite Black Brilliance Ink).  I love how there is a nice edge left after you stamp onto the die cut piece. They really are easy to line up. 


I layered up a few circles (CIRCLE STAX 1 & 2) and then added them to the AWARD SEAL DIE-NAMICS.  A STAR STAX, an MFT button, and some twine (all can be found in the MFT Boutique...add some to your order on release night! You won't be sorry!). 

I used the new TICKET STRIP DIE-NAMICS, to accent the side of my card. It is designed to allow you to cut a continuous strip of tickets (one of the ends is an open).   I decorated the strip with the awesome images included in the stamp set. 

You also can see the itty bitty tickets I created.  I used the the MINI TICKET STRIP and a few more images from the stamp set.  Take another look at this set!

 It is CHUCK full of fabulous bits and pieces to make so many cute things. The teeny stars and argyle stamps...yep, all part of this stamp set!

Changing gears a bit....let's move onto my WTG card. I used the same papers and created a totally different look. WTG- Gets Down to Business is working hard this month! 


I stamped her on x-press blending cs, and then pieced her up with some papers from the Lily Bee paper pack. I added shading to her suit with some copics. 


The sentiment fit perfectly on my FAVE FILE TAB DIE-NAMICS.  I added some black zig zag stitching to help it really stand out. The card stock is Blue Raspberry-yum!

Here is a closer look at the newest flower Die-namics-LAYERED ROSES. I only used some of the smaller flowers and added some foam dots between the layers and I created a pretty embellie. The button is again, one of MFT new Buttons! Behind that is a strip of the new DOUBLE DOT BORDER. 

Also, because I don't want you to miss it....check out the bottom of my WTG panel...I added a cool wave, that was easy to do thanks to the new WAVY EDGE DIE-NAMICS. 

I used more of the similar papers and the pretty DOUBLE DOT BORDER, along with another image of WTG to pretty up the inside of my card.  It always gives an added surprise to the person receiving the card.
