MFT.... Feb. Creative Challenge

It's time for our monthly DT Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things! We are getting DIGI this month and sharing all things from the DIGI side of MFT. Did you know there are lots of goodies you can buy and play with instantly from MFT. There are stamps, templates, and even PAPER! You know I've got a thing for polka dots, so this amazing polka dot digi paper (Halloween Dotty Papers) was perfect for this instant gratification girl.

Today is a special day....it's my birthday, and it's my brother's birthday (I'm a twin) AND it's my little man's birthday. Four years ago, I got the greatest birthday gift ever-MY Nicholas!

This is his sweet little birthday card, cuz he's my Little Loveasaurus. I added the fun kite (fly a kite die-namic) with the Happy Birthday Banner.
I even did up the inside, cuz I really wanted to add that super sweet sentiment.

Kim's got the full line up of digi posts for today.

This week you need to use the colors-RED, White, Black, and Aqua!  I'm in a full on LOVEY card making session, so I couldn't resist using the Moon Beams & Heart Strings set.  I also can't put down the sweet little sentiments from How You Doin'?  They really are just PERFECT!
I kept this clean and simple. I really wanted those hearts to stand on their own AND to show off the pretty ribbons.  That crinkle ribbon is from EVA! Isn't she the sweetest???! Thanks, girlie.

Friday with Friends!

It's a Unity day for me, just because I want it to be.  I played along with this week's SCS sketch and came up with this card. I am sooooo ready for spring, so flowers and butterflies keep ending up on my desk and then they find their way onto my cards. lol! I also am using almost the last of my Tinsel & Twigg dp by Girl's Paperie.....seriously love that I can use it for non-holiday cards too. I will be sad when it's gone, but that won't last long.  DID you SEEEEE all the yummy papers that are being released from CHA from all the fabulous vendors???? There are so many I WANT!

I used Key to Joy from Unity and the sentiment is {ippity} from How You Doin'?.

It's a CAS card with a vintage feel and I think it turned out pretty.
Thanks for coming by today. I'll see you back here on Monday! Have a great weekend.

MFT and Moxie Fab

Sooooo, I was seriously going to take a break today from blogging. I started painting N's room and just busy with stuff around the house. Then this card popped into my head and I took a quick break to bust it out.  I figured it would consume my thoughts until I found the time to make it. This Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge kept creeping in, so here it my take on it.
I used all MFT goodies here-3/8 rosette die-namic, Framed Greetings , the new simply scallops, and Hearts a plenty die-namics, too.
I was going to use the Clearly Sentimental about Love set, but changed my mind at the last minute and went with the More Essential Sentiments set instead. I thought it filled the shape better. Thanks for stopping by.

It's time for Wednesday Stamp Club!

There has been A LOT going on with My Favorite Things this week.  Hopefully you joined us last night for the big release party and then the Hop & Shop!  If not, no worries, you can still see all the fabulous blog hop projects, just hop on over to Kim's blog for the start.  All new Feburary stamps and die-namics are in the Boutique! Check out the Brand Spankin' New section!

Since it's Wednesday, that also means it's time for our weekly WSC sketch challenge. Here's this week's sketch. Come play along!
I decided to make this week's sketch into a tag, since I had an extra one laying on my desk that I didn't use for my mini album yesterday.

I also wanted to use one of our new stamp sets. Since I hadn't gotten to the new Twisted Foursome yet, I knew that's what I wanted. I paired it up with the Making a List Pure Innocence. Also used the Simply Scallops die-namic.  and the Textured Rectangle Frame dieSome twine, a button and crocheted ribbon finish it off!
See, the sketch is a starting point, stretch your creativity and see what you can do. The full line up of samples is listed over on Kim's blog. You can also join us for the chit chat in the MFT Forum with all the challenge details.

MFT Shop & Hop! Feb. Release is UP!

Welcome back.  I'm so glad you are back for more fun with the MFT DT.  Hopefully you just arrived from the wonderful Boss Lady, Kim!  She's got all the info about tonight's release and we don't want you to miss out on anything. Hop along and be sure to leave comments as you go....there's secret BLOG CANDY out there somewhere!

Tonight I've saved a super special project of mine using the My How've Grown set (and the Clearly Sentimental about Parenting....the two go great together, so spend enough so you can earn it FREE!).

It's been a pretty emotional week for me.  It's one of those bittersweet moments in life when one stage ends and another one begins.  This set couldn't have come at a more perfect time.

My baby (literally, my baby...he's our last child, the baby of my three boys) is turning 4 next week.  We share the same birthday, isn't that cool????! His room is what has always been the nursery.  Nine and a half years ago, we decorated the nursery in preparation for our first child.  Each boy had moved out to make room for the next baby and they each got their BIG BOY room.  Well, little man got a big boy bed, but no big boy room.  I figured with him turning 4, he was DUE!  So this past week I've been slowing tearing down the wall paper border, taking down the baby quilts and emptying out the baby drawers.  This weekend was the last of the baby stuff to go.  I admit, I was a bit of a blubbering mess at times as I packed a few cherished things away.  The rest is being donated.
So....to make me feel better, I decided to make myself a sweet little mini album. I cut some jumbo tags (they are about 3.5 x 4.5 inches) with my Silhouette and got busy with LOTS of MFT die-namics and the My How've Grown and CS about Parenting stamp sets.  I did a tag with a picture of each boy at about the same age, only days old. Gosh, time sure flies.
 J-
R-
 and N-
and then I couldn't resist this sweet quote.  The boys always give me a hard time when I tell them they'll always be my babies. They just don't get it!

I ended the album with the most recent picture of all three together at ages-8,6, and 3 from this past Christmas.

Using the same designer paper (I used Echo Park's Little Boy dp here) throughout really helps pull an album together quickly. I made sure to use a few of the new die-namic, Flat Bottom Clouds
 and the Simply Scallops border

here are the rest of the MFT goodies I used:
star border die-namic
stacking stars die-namic
Hearts a Plenty die-namic
Button Quartet die-namic
framed greetings die-namic
fossil cs
MFT Twill

I also have a sweet little PI card that I didn't get to share during Teasers.  I combined two of the new sets-Out on a Limb and You're Tweet! I really like that the two sets look great together, so make sure you pick them both up! There is more of the Simply Scallops on this one....told you I LOVE this die-namic!

Off you go. There is ALOT more to see. The wonderful talents of Cindy are up next!
