Zoo Crew and Paper Smooches!

I have loved Paper Smooches stamps from day one. With all my design team work I rarely found time to stamp with other companies products. I am finding it sooooo liberating to create with whatever I want to. I now have the time and I am happy about that!

I picked up Zoo Crew and made sure to ink it up right away. I stuck to some pretty clean and simple designs for my cards. Both of these were made for some challenges on Splitcoast last week.

I love Alligators.  Not the real ones, but the cute, and whimiscal ones. I also love the saying, "later Gator". So this was my choice when I went to make this card with the sketch on SCS. It was Card sketch 442.

In place of the oval from the sketch, I opted for the Gator. I stamped him on x-press it blending card stock, colored him with copics,  and then cut him out. I placed him in a grassy panel and tied on some twine. I stamped the sentiment in Steel Blueink.

Another favorite animal of mine is the giraffe. They are so mesmerizing, graceful, and beautiful. The one in this stamp set is a cutie-pie!

Beate has THIS awesome tutorial on Magical Masking tape. Once I chose my colors, this process was SO fast and I think it made a stunning card. It is an easy technique. You use Glossy cardstock and ink up some masking tape (I used painters tape, it has a lower tack and doesn't stick to your card stock) strips and stamp them onto your background. Once it's dried, you can stamp whatever you want over top of it.

I used Brown Stazon ink so I didn't have to worry about my image smudging on the Glossy cardstock. My background was created with MFT inks in Lemon Drop, Orange Fizz, and Berrylicious inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
