MFT Blog Hop & Shop

The Store is OPEN! Well, it's always open, but All the new July release My Favorite Things goodies are now up and ready for purchase! Before you go, or maybe after you shop, be sure to hop along to get one more look at all the new products being offered this month. It's time for the DT's Shop & Hop!

Hopefull you just came from Jen's blog, if not, be sure to start back at Kim's blog. You'll want to leave comments along the way-there's a secret blog that's giving away a $15 gift voucher to be used in the MFT store!

I'm just tickled to share my project with you all. I had so much fun making it, but it was even more fun to give it to my BFF's son. His eyes lit up when he saw his custom frame-complete with his name, and number! I painted a wooden frame I got from Micheal's for $1 with chocolate chip craft ink. While that was drying I used my new fave Banner Day die-namics die and Banner Day alphabet to make a custom banner with his name. I then colored up the sweet, little Football Boy from the Pure Innocence line with copics. Here's a close up. Check out the football! I stamped the image on cork, cut it out and sponged on some walnut distress ink and colored in the lines with a white gel pen for some real-life accents.

I completed the wooden frame with the Framed Greetings lable and die-namics die. I decided to add in a few of the sentiments from the PI Football player set and hand cut my flag with the team name and year stamped with the Banner Day Alphabet.

Up next is the oh-so-talented Susie! have fun and thanks for all your kind words this week. It's been a great first release for me.

Final MFT Peeks! Release Party Tonight!

Tonight the fun begins. Well, we've been having fun all week, right? I always love the build up to an MFT release. Today we complete our sneak peeks with this month's Who's That Gardening Girl. You already had a peek at this set and the mini sentiment set that coordinates with it during out VIP hop a few weeks ago. I'm sure many of you already own it, but if not, no worries, you can get it tonight! I took a different spin on the set and wanted to show off how versatile the set can be. I used only a few of the flower images and a sentiment from the Green Thumb mini set.

Couldn't help myself and used more of the Garden Variety dp, crochet ribbon, Jumbo Ric Rac die, and a oh-so-hot wooden buttons (Earth Girl Collection).

I also did up a sweet little wall hanging. I altered a chipboard coaster, and added some twill so it could hang on a door or hook. I think it will look great in my laundry room, it's the main in and out door of my house, so everyone can read the inspirational quote from the new Clearly Sentimental set about Gardening. I am really happy Kim has added these sets to the store. Now I have the perfect wordage for any card. I've added some easy, peasy rolled flowers to my hanging! I even made them smaller, just by clipping the paper and only using part of the die-cut piece.

Notice anything different about my crochet ribbon? I altered that a bit too. I love the 3 different sizes you get in the pack, but none of them was quite the right fit or look for my sign, sooooo, I used the largest one, and cut it down. I just snipped along the strip and ended up with the perfect scalloped crochet piece. LOVE getting more bang for my buck! I even used my left-over on a different project. You'll spy an additional scalloped scallop border and a few more glittered garnishes to complete the look.

Kim's got the full Sneak Peek line up on her blog at 11 am (EST). Be sure to stop by.

More MFT Sneak Peeks!

More My Favorite Things goodies to share today. I think you are going to just SWOOON! over today's peeks. I know I am just giddy over this combo-it's a stamp and die-namics die that work together, called Framed Greetings. When you order this on the 7th, and I know you will * wink, wink*, you will get the stamps and the die together for $19.95!

I did make this one for a guest designer contest sample. You still have time to get your entry in. It's so worth playing along-the free stamps are nice, but being part of the MFT DT for a month is Priceless! You can check out all the deets here in the forum.

Okay, see my sentiment and the cool looking frame? Yep, that's the new Framed Greetings stamp set and the die. The die is that cool shape. They are really easy and fun to create with. The frame stamps (you get 3 different designs ) work with the die to get a perfect fit. I just love the 4 sentiments included in the set too. Seriously, EEEEEEE! You're gonna fall in love.
The rest of the card is loaded up with MFT goodness, too:
another looksie at the rolled flower die-namics die, MFT black felt, cut with the Jumbo ric rac die (currently out of stock-but check back, Kim restocks as quick as she can), crochet ribbon, finished off with a cute, little babybump diaper pin, the polka dotted dp is from the Garden Variety paper pack, and a little Chocolate Kiss glittered garnish in the flower center. The inside uses a sentiment from Who's That Birthday Girl.

Everything in red is new and will be available for purchase on the 7th, the rest is already in the store and you can add it to your order on the 7th if you don't already have it ;)

MFT Day 3 of Sneak Peeks: G-O, GO!

It's PI day here on the My Favorite Things sneak peek week. We know you love these cuties and so do I! I fall in love with each new one every month! This month Kim is adding 4 new ones to the mix. I've got this darling little cheerleader to share today.
It wasn't on purpose, kind of my accident, but this ends up fitting into the guest designer contest theme this month-any neutral with red, white, and blue! The link is listed below, to find out all the details of the contest.

I used the new Banner Day alphabet and die-namics die with card, too. They work great together. I also added some copic-colored twill, a piece of cork, and some MFT felt cut with the Fresh Cut Grass die. Oh, and button is from the girly button collection.

I also had some fun, altering the PI into a true cheerleader stance-pom poms raised! I clipped her arms and re-attached them so her hands were pointing up. I added some extra dimension to her poms, but stamping them twice and cutting the top layer a little smaller and attached with a foam dot. I probably should have added a detail picture for you. I do have a pic of the inside, though. Isnt' that open scallop die just awesome! Papers are Report Card by Oct. AFternoon and Manilla Basics by Basic Grey.

Kim's got the full Sneak Peek line up on her blog at 11 am (EST). Be sure to stop by.

MFT Day 2-sneak peeks!

So what did you think about yesterday's MFT peeks? Fun and fabulous peeks, right? Well, today is just as good. I'm happy to say I finally have a sweet little Fred Bear stamp in my hands. I've loved him since his debut a few months ago, he's quite the bear on the go! This time he's decked out for the beach! Let me start of by saying how much I love this card! It's one of those cards that turned out JUST how I envisioned it in my head. I colored Fred with copics and used some of the fun Jillibean soup dp,Summer Squash, to piece up his swim float. I used LOTS of die-namics dies on this one-2 new and 2 already released. Can you spy them?
My waves were created with the negative of the jumbo scalloped die, and of course you can't head to the beach without some sunshine. I also used the new open scalloped die and my FAVE part of this card....the center of my sun! It's a rolled flower! Yep, now all those super trendy, cute, hand-made rolled flowers you've been seeing all over blog land are yours to create to your heart's content! This new die makes them really fast and perfect every time. Today, I used it to make a fancy 3-D sun!

Once again, I did up the inside of my card to match. I left it blank so I could write my own note when the time was right.

Kim's got the full sneak peek line up on her blog at 11 am (EST). Go Check it out!

MFT-Let the Sneak Peeks Begin!

The time is here for the MFT DT to share with you all the fabulous goodies being released next Wednesday night. Lots of cool stamps, embellishments, AND FABULOUS die-namics dies. You won't be disappointed. Today, I have 2 beauties to share.

First up is this super chic set, called Cruising Cosmo Girl. I couldn't resist using the bright and cheery papers by Comso Cricket, Delovely. I knew with her rockin' shades, I just had to add a beautiful, bright sun from the MFT die-namics die and added a few clouds because, well, I just love that die, too. I finished the sentiment on the inside of the card, this is a great way to entice the receiver of a card to open it up and see what you have left to say.
I used the same papers, stamped the sentiment on a punched oval and added a few sweet baby braddies in pink.

Okay, ready for the next goodie??? Hold on to your hats this one you're gonna LOVE. It's one of the awesome new die-namic dies being released. I FLIPPED over this one, love, love, LOVE it!!!! It's a Banner die!!! okay, yes, squeal with me...EEEEEEE! One of the coolest things about this die-namics die is that it's a 3 part die, so you can layer up you banner anyway you want. It cuts the scalloped topper, and the 2 banner pieces that are a mat for each other just perfectly! And if that isn't enough, there is also a fabulous new alpha set called Banner Day Alphabet being released too! Look how nice, neat, and perfect the font is, AND it fits perfectly on the banners. Ahhhhh, it makes me happy! Oh, yeah and the opened scalloped is also a new die coming next week!
Because I thought I was so clever, I just have to show you how I did up the inside. I stamped cute little Wyatt, colored him with copics and gave him a party hat! I'm sure you can guess, but yep, it's a piece of the banner turned up side down. The Button is from my Earth Girl button collection. You also get another look at the open scalloped die.

Here's a few other MFT goodies I used on this card: cork, bling-bers, twill, and fossil cs.

How's that for a jammed packed day 1 of fun???!!! And yes, There is LOTS more to come!

Stop by Kim's blog around 11 am (EST) for the full line up of sneak peeks today.

AND Here's the info on this month's Guest Designer Challenge.
