This was the inspriation photo from the Curtain Call Blog.
I pulled out the yellows and navy and a of the nautical elements-the anchor and helm. Yes, I Googled it. I had no idea what the official name of the wooden steering wheel on a boat was called. It's a Helm. Just in case you were wondering too.
I colored up the cool lighthouse image from the Happy Harbor stamp set and then cut it out. I mounted that and a die cut helm onto the pierced circle from Blueprints3 Die-namics. I needed a little something more in the background, so I stamped the compass rose with versamark ink on the Kraft circle.
I added the sweet row of anchors and the cool "hashtagawesome" sentiment from Arrows 'n Elements to a fishtail flag. I bit of washi tape and a yummy Steel Blue button finished this one off.
How can you not feel summer with this card? How do you feel about this nautical trend? Do you love it or are you over it? I'd love to know.
