SSS178-Sweet Friend

I was happy to get this pretty stamp inky again. I really adore this new stamp line from My Favorite Things. They are called the Doodle Gardens if you haven't checked 'em out yet, HERE YOU GO!

This one is called: Sweet Friend

The card base is MFT Natural cs and I added in a layer of Banana split behind the pretty designer paper. This paper is from Crate Paper-DIY Shop.♥♥♥ Love.IT.  I stamped the "sweet friend" sentiment in Black Licorice ink to the bottom of the card, just like the sketch said to.

I used last week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, which was a nice clean layout. Perfect for highlighting the image and adding a bit of texture with an embossing folder (from SU) to the Circle Stax layer.

I stamped the gal onto x-press it blending cardstock and then used my copics to color her up.  I hadn't used my markers in a while, since I purchased my Prisma colored pencils. It felt great to color with them. I tried my hand at some pleats. I then cut her out and used some foam dimensionals to pop her up.

Here are the markers I used on today's card.

And here is the inside of my card. I used another smaller layer of the MFT Natural cs and added another sentiment stamped in MFT Kraft onto a Sentiment Strip Die-namics

You might also notice that each of my layers has a bit of distressing. I also added a bit of sponging of Tea Dye Distress ink. I love the shabby chic look this gives to my card.
