Two of my nieces have had birthdays in the past few weeks. I've been enjoying making some girly cards. This is one of them. Not too girly, but just enough of fun and hip. Well, my version of 11 yr. old hip! lol!
This week's sketch I stretched a bit. Here's what the sketch looks like.
While I LOVED that circle element, I just really, really wanted to use the PRETTY POCKET stamp set and matching Die-namics. So I did. I used more of the fun Jillibean Soup papers this week and added accents of red with my stitching.
Here is another look at the pocket. I added lots of pretty stamp detail. I adore the stitching detail from the stamp, matches the real stitching I added around my square panel.
I also stamped the flower image on some of the heart designer paper, cut it out, and added a brad to the center. I popped the whole thing up with some foam dimensionals.
I even did up the inside to match. Playing up the flowers from the designer with a red FLOWER BORDER and another cut flower from the stamp set. The "happy birthday" sentiment comes from the JUST MY TYPE stamp set.
We sure hope you'll play along. Each week there is an MFT Gift Voucher up for grabs. You only have a chance to win, if you play along!
