Sweet Sunday Sketch 256 {very special birthday}

Hello friends. Not a lot of chit chat here today, but I do have two posts today, so be sure to scroll down to see the awesome Curtain Call Challenge going up around 8am EST. 

Right now I'm showing off my Sweet Sunday Sketch card. I changed up the sketch, just a bit to fit the fun birthday card I wanted to make with my favorite Reverse Confetti products. (please note, I'll be adding in shopping links later....the RC site is under construction and will be up and running SOON!). 

I used the Documented confetti Cut for my star panel in the background. I had fun creating my own pattern paper with the So Many Stars stamp set and So Stripey on the teal strip. Super fun! I added the birthday sentiment from So Very Special. I LOVED creating the custom colored words because the stamps are all seperate. I stamped it onto a smooth white Circle 'n Scallops. 

A triple decker ice cream cone from Celebrate Cake and some enamel dots completed my card.

LID {Hello, Awesome}

It's Friday and I thought I'd say Hello, Awesome! I used the yummy new colors from MFT (Rich Raspberry, Pure Plum, Summer Splash, In the Buff, and Lemon Chiffon) along with the current Retro Sketch no.152

The rest of the card was created using one of my favorite Lil' Inker Designs stamp set and coordinating Awesome Word die. The word "awesome" is one of my faves....it makes me happy. The stamp set is Hello, Awesome. I stamped the greeting in sweet tooth pigment ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder to really make it pop against that beautiful Raspberry color. 
Following the sketch, I added in a Large Sunshine die and topped it with a white button and raspberry bakers twine. 

My layers were cut using the amazing Stitched Mats-rectangles, Stitched Mats-Side stitched Rectangles, and then the Long Skinny Rectangles. I love how these dies work together to give an easy finished look to any card.

Lil' Inker Designs Monthly Meet Up Challenge {come join us}

It's really exciting! Laura decided it was time for Lil' Inker Designs to start hosting their very own challenge. We are dying to see what you all create with your LID stamps and dies. This is the perfect excuse to stamp and shop!!! Come play along. Show us what you have been working on. The fun starts on the LID Blog. 

I made a birthday card for my youngest with the awesome Robot Builder stamp set and added in a whole slew of other fun LID products. I started with the Side Stitched Rectangles  , ran it through my machine, then added the Peek a Boo die to create the fun interactive window. 

Nicholas is just going to love this (he's 8!). Of course, that meant I had to use the awesome coordinating Unscramble This stamp set for my sentiment. 

Once I had that stamping done, I went ahead and created my bot. My little man got some roller skates for Christmas and has been enjoying how to use them. I love that one of the leg choices had a set of wheels! Perfect! 

 I finished off the outside with a scattering of stamped stars. Yes....another LID stamp set, Girl's Best Friend. There is a teeny tiny star included in that set and I inked it up with three different colors here. 

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention..... since this was a birthday card, not a love card (although, of course I love my little guy) I thought a sweet die cut Stitched Star would look more festive on the shirt of my Bot. It's so cool how you can change up a stamp set with a little trick like that. 

More teeny stars on the inside of the flap along with the completed puzzle on the inside of my flap. So FUN!

Reverse Confetti Feb. Blog Hop {Love Banner}

Welcome to the February Reverse Confetti blog Hop. It's the 8th of the month and it's a non-release month, so we have a wonderful themed hop prepared for you. I think you'll "LOVE" it! wink wink

The Confetti Crew has created lots of beautiful projects with a Love Theme....we hope you fall in love and are inspired to pull out your RC goodies  (or order a few of the new products released last month) and and create something for your loved ones. Let's dive in. I created a Love Banner with 12 different Confetti Cut dies.....swoon! It is amazing how well all the dies coordinate together. I chose a classic color combo-red, black, white, and Kraft. I had so much fun creating this. 

I started with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cut and cut 5 of the rounded tag pieces from kraft cs. I decided I wanted to use ONLY RC products on this, so I made my own pattern paper thanks to the Whole Lotta Hearts and Whole Lotta Dots stamp sets. I then sponged each of the pieced with some walnut stain distress ink. I then pulled out most of my Pretty Panel dies and cut a stack of those, followed by lots of the small Heart to Heart hearts. I added in the large heart sentiments from Heart to Heart to make it bursting with love. 

This first Banner piece uses, Heart to Heart stamp set and coordinating Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts. I added the Arrow die and a duo of small Heart to Heart hearts. I added those on top of a black Pretty Panels-Diagonal Stripes.

Second banner piece has the Pretty Panel-Big Chevron in black as the base for my embellies. I added a white Heart to Heart large heart die and layered on the word "love" from Pretty Panels-Heart Love and the "you from Tag me, Too both cut from red card stock. 

My center piece started with the large scallop circle from Circles 'n Scallops. I added a Pretty Panel-straight stripes. More hearts and stamps from Heart to Heart. 

The next one is layered up with the Love Note scalloped die piece and topped with the Pretty Panel-Heart Love in red. I cut it again, from black card stock and added in the word "love" with the black card stock to make it pop. Another Heart to Heart duo. All these hearts are making me excited for the Valentine Holiday! 

My final banner piece is  layered with the Pretty Panel-Chevron and a stamped Heart to Heart sentiment, cut with the matching confetti cut die. I tucked in a row of mini hearts from Love Note in white card stock.  I also layered on two more small Heart to Heart hearts. I tied the whole banner together with some yummy bakers twine.
