August Creative Hop with Reverse Confetti

Hello and welcome! I am super happy to be here today with the RC Confetti Crew to show off some amazing Reverse Confetti products for you. It is a non-release month, but we still want to share and inspire you. This month, we are sharing some of our favorite color comobs.  Jen has all the details about this month's hop over on the RC Blog!  Don't miss it!

I am super excited to share this color combo with you: Stone, Stormy, Peach, RC Aqua and Olive. It's so fresh and fun and was a great way to show off the adorable Dinos from No Tomorrow.

I created a card and tag with the same set, dies and colors, but changed up the focus on one of the colors to show you how you can get different looks even with  just a few colors.

I'll start with the card first. I know we don't have card stock in all the new colors, but I'm going to show you that it is ok. You just need a blending sponge and our fabulous Premium Polar White card stock, or any of our fabulous card stock colors. For the card, I used the Leaf Lattice Stencil and sponged on the beautiful Peach ink

I colored up the Dino and the leaf images with my copic markers and then used the No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts to cut them out. I perched them up on a Stone Card Stock hill. I love making those rounded hill tops with the Edgers Confetti Cuts. I added a "hello" word die from the Thanks & Hello Label Confetti Cuts in RC Aqua card stock. I did my dimension trick and cut three layers and glued them together. Here's a close up of the beautiful Peach color. I framed the panel with Stormy card stock

While I had all these yummy colors out, I decided to make a tag, too. I used the Topped Off Tag in RC Aqua and layered Dots Tag Layer in Premium Polar White.  This time I colored up the t-rex from No Tomorrow. I then cut it out with the the No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts. I then cut the leaf images with No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts and the Hang Ups Confetti cuts from Stone card stock and then I used the Olive ink to sponge on the color.

I also created the Peach "thanks" with the Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cut and a sponge blending tool. I love how easy it is to customize any die cut with this method and any of the RC ink colors.

Lil' Inker Designs August Release-Day 3

It's our final day of samples with the new LID products! I hope you have loved this release as much as we all have! I am so excited you are joining us for the August release from Lil' Inker Designs. I had so much fun playing around with all the gorgeous new stamps and dies. I just know you will love what we have to share.

I combined two awesome new products today. I adore the new cake stamps called Eat Cake and you have to get the matching dies!! The words fit right inside each Eat Cake Die. It's such a great set, especially if you are looking to make quick, darling cards!

You'll notice I created a square card, so I pulled out my favorite Silly Stitched Square die and cut out some white card stock with it. Do you see that background?? I hand stamped it with another new stamp set called Modern Mandala. I just love it!

Soooo, you have a chance to WIN the ENTIRE August Release!!

Color Throwdown 454-Thinking of You

Hi, everyone!  Amy is here with a brand new set of colors for this week's challenge as we head into the dog days of summer. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: green, kraft and white, you're in good company! As always, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well. I'd also like to welcome our August Guest Designer, Sheri Gilson, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Kelly Schirmer. Welcome, ladies!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD454, and please use #ctd454 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you're in doubt. One last detail to remember -  no digital designs--only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I love white on kraft. Always have. I decided to create my own custom background with the Build a Bunch stamp set on Sand card stock. I then stamped the leaf image from the Build A Bunch with white ink onto Avocado card stock and then cut them out with the matching Build A Bloom Confetti Cuts. I also cut out a few Premium Polar White Leafy Confetti cuts to tuck in with the green.

Sentiment is from One Day at a Time in Midnight ink. I love the straight line in this font. I tied on some kraft twine.

Lil' Inker Designs August Release-Day 2

So excited you are joining us for the August release from Lil' Inker Designs. I had so much fun playing around with all the gorgeous new stamps and dies. I just know you will love what we have to share.

OHMYGOODNESS! I have been so excited to show off these cuties. It's a new dino set called Hello Dino. it's so fun and totally cute and they just make me smile. I inked up two of the dinos and added them to a Stitched Mat-Circle die. I started the sentiment on the circle and finished it below the prehistoric scene. I added the googlie eyes for some fun! I then cut out the stamped dinos and palm trees with the Hello Dino dies. Each bit is it's own stamp so you can customize the images to your hearts desire!!

Check out the cool edge on the darker green card stock in the background. I love it. It's a new border die called Deco Edge Border Die. It looks really cool layered up, too!

Lil' Inker Designs August Release-Day 1

Welcome, welcome! So excited you are joining us for the August release from Lil' Inker Designs. I had so much fun playing around with all the gorgeous new stamps and dies. I just know you will love what we have to share.

I am kicking things off with two cards using LOTS of the new products. Both cards use the gorgeous new floral sentiment set, Encouraging Words. The sentiments are wonderful and I adore the flowers included in the set as well. This first card I made the flowers and sentiment the focal point. I stamped them in black ink and used my Copics to color them up. I used the Encouraging Word Dies to cut them out.

I mounted them onto a Stitched Mats-Circles dies. Check out that background.....isn't it soooo pretty and really fun?? It's the newest Cover Up-Hello Beautiful (it coordinates with the Hello Beautiful stamp set. We loved the design, so Laura made it into a bigger background for all of us). Here's a closer look at the details.

While I had the Encouraging Words stamp out, I decided to create a customized background. I then used the Silly Stitched Rectangles to create the panels. I then used the gorgeous new Fringe Scallop Tag Die and cut it from vellum, so it didn't completely hide the background I stamped.

To the top of that I used the Ever Word stamps and Ever Word die to create the sentiment for the card. I loooooove the giant die cut word. I sponged on some dark coral ink to give it an ombre' effect.
