Color Throwdown 401-Magical Birthday

Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy here as your host for week's Color Throwdown challenge! She has chosen this gorgeous floral image as the color inspiration and the challenge is to use dark pink, burgundy, pale peach and purple. Remember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in neutrals (white/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

I pulled out the darling Unicorn from Reverse Confetti and created a sweet, whimsical scene with stamps and Confetti Cuts. I stamped the unicorn and tree from Unicorn Wishes with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and then used my copics to color them. I used the Unicorn Wishes Confetti Cuts to cut them out, quick and easy. I stamped a few of the stars from the set with Paver Red Premium Dye ink.

I created my sweet little scene with a water color panel cut from the Documented Confetti Cuts and blended on some Distress Ink. I used some clean water to splatter on and give it some extra dimension. I also added a teeny strip of Paver Red scallops with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cut. A scattering of sequins finished it off.

Reverse Confetti July Sale

Hello Fetti Fans! Super excited to be posting today and sharing about the July Reverse Confetti Sale. While we are not having a release this month, Jen did not want to leave you hanging. This is the 3rd day of our Summer Sale Blog Hop. Exciting things are happening, RC is getting some new gorgeous warehouse space! I wanted to make something quick and simple today, for you. The Butterfly Dreams stamps and matching Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts always make stunning projects without having to try to hard. These really were simple to make, I went ahead and created a trio of thank-you notes. These are a 4.25 square card. Keeping the design the same and just changing out the colors, really helps streamline a project like this. It's mass producing, but adds some variety.

I started with my watercolor panels. I smooshed on some Early Espresso Distress ink and then added some spaltter. I set it aside to dry. I reached for some Old Olive card stock and cut the pretty scalloped circle with the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cut. I made it into a window, but running it through my die cut machine with the largest solid circle a second time.

I made each card appear different by stamping the largest Butterfly Dreams stamp with three different Ombre ink colors by Hero Arts. Here is the pink one.

We thought it would be fun to share our Top Five favorite Reverse Confetti products with you. This was hard, really hard for me. There are so many products I truly love and reach for all the time. These 5 though, I can use anytime of the year and for all occassions. They are always within reach.

The orginial, first Confetti Cut! I still reach for it all the time.

The tag is a great size, and the banner piece, well, I love it!

I am a fan of ALL the Dawn Machell stamps, but this one, well, Giraffe's are my favorite, so I love this. I love all the little extras included, too. It's adorable.

Everyone needs a great all occasion sentiment set. This one is a it!

Fabulous mix of fonts, lots of different greetings and it has my all time favorite birthday sentiment. I love the size of it and that it is a linear stamp.

If you have been following my blog for a while now, you will know how much I love these leaves. I use them all the time and in lots of different colors. They are just fun to tuck in anywhere.

Ahhhh! Woodgrain and texture. There isn't much more to say. This is the only textured Confetti Cut available and I love it. It's also the same size as the fabulous Documented Confetti Cut. This little gem adds texture AND cuts out the rounded rectangle at the same time. It's perfect.

Color Throwdown 400- Sending You Happy

I pulled out some of the pretty new product released from Lil' Inker Designs last month. I used the Dual Dotted Circle for my main image panel.

I stamped the flowers from Hello Beautiful and used my copics to color them up. I used the Silly Stitched rectangle to cut out a background layer and then ran it through my die cut machine with the Stitched Woodgrain Cover Plate. I gave it a quick color wash with some Crushed Olive Distress ink. I finished it off with some red and white bakers twine.

Happy Birthday MFT!

I was thrilled to come home from vacation to find an invite to join My Favorite Things in their Birthday celebration. I was blessed and so honored to have been a part of the MFT Design Team for a few years as they began to expand their amazing product line. I was there for the introduction of many of their still loved and popular lines of stamps, inks, and Die-namics. As MFT grew, the one thing that stayed the same was their dedication to providing superior products and top-notch customer service.

I created this pretty birthday card with some of the new products releasing tonight. I started with the Blueprints 30 and some Sno Cone card stock. I still remember the day that Blueprints 1 was unveiled to the DT. We were so over-the-top excited! 29 awesome Die-namics sets later and here we are with Blueprints 30! This set is so cool and I love how easy this is to use to create fun and adorable gift card holders.

I created a watercolor background with my distress inks and smooshed them onto some Tim Holtz Water Color card stock. Once this paper was dry, I went ahead and cut out the greeting with the Happy Birthday Die-namics. I cut it two more times from Smooth White Card stock and glued all the layers togehter.

Feeling nastolgic, I decided to use the champange bottle and glass and a sentiment from the Time For the Bubbly stamp set. It is one of the orginal Who's That Girl stamp sets. Love that it was recreated for this release and now it has some matching Die-namics. I used the Black Licorice Hybrid ink to stamp them onto x-press it blending card stock and colored them up with copics. I used the Time for the Bubbly Die-namics to cut them out. I added all the pieces to the flap of the Blueprints 30 Die-namics.

My card base was cut from Smooth White card stock and I used Insulation Pink Premium Dye ink to add the BG Happy Birthday Background stamp. On the inside, I added the notch Die-namics from Blueprints 30 so my card could hold a gift card.

I finished the card off with some of my favorite Hemp Cord and some of the gorgoeus Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

You Anchor Me

Quick and easy. Some days you just need that to get your mojo flowing. I pulled a few of my favorite products from the June Reverse Confetti Release and BAM! this card was done.

I started with a smaller card base, 4.25 square cut from kraft cs. I then used some Sno Cone and Smooth White cs to add some layers and then cut out the anchor cirle with the Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts.

The Seaside anchor was stamped in yellow and then cut out with the Seaside Confetti Cuts. I tied on some Natural solid twine and added a sweet tiny heart from Donut You Know Confetti Cuts. I stamped a sentiment from Seaside in Blueberry ink.

Curtain Call-Cherry Bomb

I am using some of the awesome patriotic products released recently for Taylored Expressions. I am in love with that Americana Script die. I cut it three times with Sugar Cube card stock and then used Copics to color the red and blue words. The smallest star from Seeing Stars (the inside star from the outline die) fits perfectly over the stars in the script. I cut three from silver card stock and topped the word.

I dotted the eye with the Little Bits-Firework die. Some Seeing Stars, embossed with the Lots of Stars Embossing Folder. I framed it all up with the Frame in Frame die with silver card stock and added a layer of vellum behind that. I also tucked in a few of the silver star sequins from Build a Scene-Halloween Sequins.
