Count Down to Confetti {day 2}

It's Day two of the Reverse Confetti sneak peeks and the count down to confetti. I hope you joined us yesterday with the introduction of  Sammy Squirrel.....he's such a cutie.  You can find out all the release details on the Reverse Confetti Blog. 
Today I get to show off a few other fabulous new sets-In a Big Way and So Many Stars. (new products will be added to store on Sept.8)

I never seem to have enough thank-you note cards on hand. I love the beautiful font in the  In a Big Way set AND the fact that it is an all occasion set is BONUS! I used the two different of the rows of stars stamp to accent my card base and sentiment circle.  

I cut the circle using the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti cuts that was released last time. It's a great staple to your die collection! That cool star panel is a new addition to the Pretty Panels line of dies. This is called Stars. I went ahead and carried out the star theme a little bit more with a scattering of star die cuts from Oh My Stars.

Count Down to Confetti {day 1}

It's an exciting time for Reverse Confetti Fans....the September Release is right around the corner. There are a whole bunch of wonderful stamps and Confetti Cut dies releasing on September 8.....remember 8 is Great! 

It's day one of our sneak peeks. There is an adorable new Quirky Cutie hitting the shop....Sammy Squirrel! I have to admit, I was a little afraid to color him up at first, but once I got started I had so much fun. I used lots of flicking motions with my copic markers and many different browns (the Earth tones) to create his fur. 

The papers are from Crate Paper-Boys Rule and I love the fall-like colors of them. Check out that rounded label piece. It's part of a new Confetti Cut called Tagged Tote. It's awesome....just sayin'!

 I also tucked in a jumbo pinking edge thanks to another die set, Treat Tote.  It's awesome, too

I stamped the sentiment from Sammy Squirrel onto a circle die from Fresh 'n Fruity.  Yep, the circle from Scallops 'n Cirlces was just a little too small for my words, but this one was just right! (sorry for the blurry photo....it's not your eyes).  I also did a little tone on tone stamping and added in the adorable acorn included in the stamp set.

Catered Crop New Again Challenge {got Candy?}

Linda is brilliant! Love her Recipe Swap Challenges. I missed out on the last one as I was busy wrapping up the summer and getting the boys ready for school (and starting my Jamberry biz). After I saw the theme for this go round, I DID NOT want to miss out. It's called New Again. So fun! You know you have a ton of crafting supplies from days gone by....trends in papercrafting change so fast and we seem to hold on to all the things we have bought....just in case.....we might need them one day! Ha! At least I do.

 I will admit that the items I used today I did pull out of a box I have been adding to labeled garage sale. I went old school with some Magic Mesh and a Giant Roller from Stampin' Up! These stars were my FAVE!!!

I'm diggin' my card. I was able to pair these ancient, old items with some of my newest loves. I used the Reverse Confetti Spooky Cuties and then cut out those ghosts. The sentiment is from Spooky Sentiments, I stamped that on my favorite banner die from Tag Me. 

For this challenge just raid your paper craft stash for anything you think needs a resurgence and . . .

Color Throwdown no.308 {hello gorgeous}

I have some exciting news!! I am super happy to be joining the talents of the Color Throwdown Challenge this month. Wooohooo! I am always honored and happily surprised when I am asked to guest design. Thank-you ladies for asking me! The color combos are always fantastic and so fun to work with. 
This week is a sunny and happy combo, I think you'll like it. I sure did. I even used it on a card I posted yesterday. 

I love the trend with glasses. I was debating getting the set from MFT AND then I remembered I had a die from The Cat's Pajamas. woohoo! I was a happy girl. I cut it from some Razzle Berry cardstock and added some pretty sequins to the corners. 

I almost never mix and match stamp companies when designing a card, but today I broke that rule of mine and am so glad I did. I combined an MFT sentiment (the hello) with part of a LID sentiment to make my custom sentiment.

TCPTues 274 {you are so hot}

It's time for the next TCPTues Challenge with The Cat's Pajamas. This week we are working with a sketch, and it just so happens to be MY sketch. I'm this week's challenge hostess. I hope you'll come join the fun. 

I love this sweet ice cream bun. It's called Life is Like Ice Cream.  I used some fun summery colors to color him up with my Copic markers. 

I stamped the sentiment on a circle and accented with a button. I used a Topper cut ups die to create the notebook edge on the main image panel. I love that die. 

Here is the sketch. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted here on this blog as well as on ourSplitcoaststampers forum and our Facebook page.
2. If you want to play along you just upload your design using the InLinkz button below*. If you want to display your pretties on Splitcoaststampers use keyword TCPTUES274. Only the entries uploaded to the Inlinkz button will be considered for Swanky Stamper at the end of the month.

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

Aren't the colors beautiful?? I was super excited to do some watercoloring with them. 

I used my acrylic block and inked it up with MFT premium dye ink in Paver Red, Tangy Orange, Fuse Green, and Kraft ink. I did each color one at a time, spritzed it with water and then stamped it onto watercolor paper.

I then used my Reverse Confetti stamps, Class Act and matching Confetti Cut dies. I added some Prima leaves and a button-twine bow combo. While I am NOT ready for fall, I sure love how this card turned out.

poppy Sketch no.12

Happy September! How did that happen? Time is crazy fast. Thank goodness I have my stamping and card making to keep me grounded. It's time for another fun sketch challenge with Poppy Sketch team. It's Sketch no.12 and I love it. We are challenging  you to use a pop of color!

Here is my card. The design team was lucky to get to work with some beautiful digi images by 

 Iralamija Shop. This shop is filled to the brim with lots and lots of lovelies. It is so easy to escape into this shop and all of it's possibilities. 

My rolled rose was the perfect handmade embellie to place on top of the digi card I chose to work with. I thought the rose was perfect with the sentiment. I used some pretty papers and added some Tea Dye distress ink along the edges. The seam binding ribbon was the perfect finishing touch.
