MFTWSC92-Ladybug Love

Welcome back for another round of Wednesday Stamp Club! It's always fun to play along, AND there is always a prize up for grabs!

I am getting into the costume mode around here, talking about what the boys will wear for Halloween this year. It's always an exciting time. While I won't have any lady bugs in my house, I can sure get my girly fix by playing with my MFT stamps. 

This one uses the sweet, little, PI-Ladybug. I stamped her on x-press blending cs and colored her up with copics. I added a touch of Rock Candy glitter to her wings! 

The circle I perched her on was cut from the CIRCLE STAX 1 & 2. It's a perfect matt every time. Since I had a little room next to her, I decided a handmade embellie was just what she needed. I cut a heart (HOMESPUN BIRDHOUSE DIE-NAMICS) from Sno Cone felt and topped it with a Razzle Berry Button. I used my new favorite twine to tie a pretty bow.

The designer papers are from October Afternoon-Woodland park. I paired it up with some Steel Grey, Red Hot, Sno Cone,and Sweet Tooth card stocks by MFT!
I added the sentiment to the bottom of the long, skinny panel, accented with a PINKING BORDER.

Hope you can Cling To!

I have been seeing LOTS of beautiful cards being posted all over blog land and a lot of them all have one thing in common.....they are for a great cause.  Splitcoaststampers is proud to partner with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for our third annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer.

I picked out Beate's challenge to play along with this morning, and to kick start my mojo. I have lots f DT work to finish up, but I like to keep up on other challenges, too. :)

Her challenge is called-Rays of Hope.   I looove working with grey tones and then I added a touch of pink to my card.  Of course this special  PI-Have Hope was the perfect choice for the occasion.

I added some FISHTAIL FLAGS STAX and a little file tab (mini tabs foursome) to the top for my sentiment. I accented that with some sweet, Steel Grey buttons and a little Stone twine.

Along the bottom I used two of the TRIPLE SCALLOP BORDER DIE-NAMICS to help break up the different patterns of paper.

Keeping with the grey tones, I used MFT's Steel Grey cs, with a touch of Pink Lemonade.  My card base is Whip Cream.

RetroSketch Monday {Boo Pumpkins}

I took full advantage of the quiet Monday morning around here. I sent my kids off to school and hubby off to work and even gave the puppy a new bone to chew on! SO, I got busy with some crafty time.  
Extra BONUS.....I  ran across my old stash of CD's and listened to some of my FAVE tunes from my college days. It was a Depeche Mode Monday for me. YEAH!

I used this week's Retro Sketch and the fabulous PRIMITIVE PUMPKINS stamp set and matching Primitive Pumpkins Die-namics  from MFT and came up with this Halloween card. Love the new MFT card stock. I used Black Licorice, Kraft, and Orange Fizz to coordinate with my pretty pattern paper (by SU!). 

In place of the scallops from the sketch, I stitched on some HARLEQUIN Die-namics. I think it works well with all the diagonal lines from the pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment along the top and added a few staples for another embellie. I like using staples and twine when I distress the edges of my paper.
