  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.

Today you'll be seeing the new Clearly Sentimental about Success set, the WTG-Fiesta. I'll first show you my fun, round card for the Who's That Girl Fiesta.  There are lots of great sentiments and extra images included in the set that make it very versatile. I used the beautiful Dizzy Doily die-namic for my base, dressing it up with some Delovely papers by Cosmo Cricket.

I then stamped the margarita glass, bottle, and lime  onto x-press blending cs, colored them with copics and cut each image out. I was then able to place them exactly where I wanted to on my sentiment flag. I added some Glitzy Glitter to the edge of the glass. It's all tied up with my fave Twine in Honeydew. Here's a close up.

Hang with me here. My next card shows a pretty Posey Rose I made with the new Pretty Posies die-namic

and I have a quick little photo tutorial on how I made it.  This technique you can do with almost any flower that has 5 petals, I have made these before with another die, so when I got this new die-namic, I had to give it a go. It's another way to get more bang for you buck! Here's the card.
I also used the new Open Scallop Doily die-namic.  You'll also see the pretty Framed Greetings die-namic and some felt leaves cut with the Upsy Daisy Flower builder die-namic. Hot fudge and fossil card stock set the stage for the pretty papers by Crate Paper-Portrait Collection.
Okay....so here's how to do the flowers:
  1.  Die cut 1 of each of the 3 sizes of flowers.....love that I can do this in 1 pass of my big shot.

2. Cut a slit in the largest one, Remove 1 petal from the second largest flower, and then 2 petals from the smallest flower. Save each piece.

3. Sponge edges of all the petals, even the cut pieces, with sponge dauber and ink. Then round each edge, carefully with a bone folder.
4. One flower at a time, add adhesive to one of the petals and overlap that petal with the one next to it. You will be creating a cone shape with each flower, reducing the number of petals by 1. For example, Here I have the 5 petal flower, and once I overlap two of the petals, I will end up with a 4 petal, cone shaped flower. Here is what your final glued flowers will look like. That little skinny petal is the single, cut petal, rolled up.
5. Next, cut a small slit (start small, you can always make it bigger by cutting again) in each of the 3 flowers, you don't need to cut the single rolled petal (this is the very center of your finished flower).
6. Then, starting with the largest flower, tuck the next size flower into it's center, down into the slit. Use a little adhesive to attach it. Continue with the next smaller flower, and finishing with the single petal. Add a little adhesive to each layer. Here's what the final flower will look like. After you have it assembled, you may need to re-work some of the petals, so they are nice and rounded.
And the finished Posey Rose
 on my card...close up!

Thanks for sticking with me. Hope you'll try these easy (really, they are easy) Posey Roses. It's another great way to use that new Pretty Posies die-namic die.
Hop on back to Kim's Blog for the final list of teaser posts today. See you back here tonight for the Hop &Shop!

A new Twist Challenge...ippity style!

***Please Scroll down for my MFT TEASER Post!***

Welcome to April.  That doesn't seem possible. We are already a quarter of the way through 2011??? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we are in April and not stuck in the cold, grey days of January. Like I said earlier today....Spring might just be here for real. Yesterday was a beauty!

Let's jump right into our new {ippity} Challenge.  It's a whole new month and that means a whole new set of challenges brought to you by the sweet and talented Lisa A. First up is our sketch challenge. Use it all week long, make lots of cards with it and get lots of entries into to pot for our Grand Prize Winner announced in May. Speaking of winners.....yep, make sure you check out the {ippity} blog Wednesday to see if it's YOU! We'll be announcing the winner from the March challenge then.

After a beautiful sermon at church yesterday, I was inspired and feeling a bit spiritual.  The set, What Matters Most just spoke to me and this beautiful cross and sentiment made their way onto my creation.  It's a bit hard to see, but the Psalm 46:10 is there....Be still and know that I am God.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you feel inspired to play.  Pull out some new, or older {ippity} and just stamp! Make it easy on yourself and use this sketch.  Remember to use keyword IHHTC4 when uploading to SCS.
Maria is up next. I'll race you over there! Then don't forget to check out our fellow CHICKS that join us each week. The list is up on the Ippity Blog.

Day 4....MFT Teasers continue!

More Pretties to share today. Bringing you Sunshine and Springtime! We were lucky enough to enjoy a gorgeous Spring day yesterday. Temps in the mid 60's with lots of blue skies, the sounds of lawn mowers, and green leaves peeking out everywhere. LOVE it! Today we are teasing you with projects made with a new Clair Keay's set, Hello Sunshine, and the next set in our Inspired by series called Spring.

In case you haven't heard.....
Here are the details about the upcoming release, tomorrow, on April 5th at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Last chance to get your entry in. Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

I'll just jump right in with my first card, today. I used the Inspired by Spring set.  It's beautiful! That's all I can say, beautiful!
I used two images from the set, stamped on x-press blending cs and colored with copics, along with the beautiful quote.  I also wanted you to get a look at the difference in the sizes of the scallops.  The bottom row of scallops is the new Medium Simply Scallops border. This will be released tomorrow night.

Over top of those is the Simply Scallops die-namic that was released last month. I think they are both must haves and each serve their place on different projects, depending on the scale and size you are working with. Plus it's fun to mix and match all the scallop borders!
Next is a cutesie card.  Love the new Jillibean Soup papers. The colors and prints were playful and pretty and just what I wanted with this Hello, Sunshine stamp set. It's no secret, I'm a HUGE fan of all the Claire Keay stamps....it all started with  Loveosaurus. I used Karen Grion's Sweet Sunday Sketch from last week to make this. You'll see the Medium Simply Scallops border again, along the left main image panel. Then for the sentiment I pulled out the Original Framed Greeting die-namic and accented it with the 2 flowers from the new Pretty Posie die-namic and butterflies die-namic and of course twine, lots of pretty twine.

That's all I've got for today! Thanks for stopping by and for all the love you've been leaving me. Now hop on over to Kim's blog. She's got the line up for today and the full sets to oogle over! I'm sure your list is getting longer and longer and longer!

MFT TEASER TIME...day 3

Today is the much anticipated Pure Innocence Teaser day.  I had a hard time deciding which sets to share today.....it's so hard to pick, they really are adorable in their own way. So I colored them all up and drew 2 from the pile to show today and I'll save the others for later. I'm not being mean....it is a teaser after all. lol! Before I jump in.....

Here are the details about the upcoming release on April 5th at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

This month we've got five Pure Innocence cuties for you- Graduation Girl, Graduation Boy, Crazy for Daisies, I Get a Kick Out of You, You Color My World.  Naturally I was drawn to the Graduation Boy set...it's just were my mind automatically goes with a house full of them. Lucky for me, I've got time before my 3 walk across that stage. But it's always good to have one in your stash ready to go. We've got a few neighbors graduating this year.
I used the Echo Park-Little Boy paper for my card. Love those colorful stars and it gave me a chance to pull out the fun star border die-namic adn the stacking stars die-namic.  You'll see I used the Four Point frame again for my sentiment....you'll be seeing that a lot from me-love the shape!!!  I took the idea from Michele to roll up some paper to make a faux diploma. I added it as an embellie to the star. Thanks for the idea, Michele...it's a great accent and easy to do.

I stamped the boy on x-press blending cs (have you tried this paper yet??? it's a copic's dream, blending is sooo easy and you don't use a ton of ink like you do with thicker cs).  I attempted to give him freckles, but it looks more like day-old stubble, doesn't it?  Wait.....I meant to do that, gives my PI an older look!

I carried over more of the same design elements to the inside and added a sentiment from the Graduation Girl set...that's the cool thing about these sets, same set concept, different genders AND different, interchangable sentiments. Couldn't resist more of that fabulous twine in peapod!

Then I've got a great girl card (but secretly, while making this I soooo WISH I had this same set with a boy....oooooh Kiiiiiiiiim???? Can you make that happen?).

This set is really cool, cuz there are 3 different balls included along with sentiments to match them all-basketball, soccer, and volleyball. It's really easy to change the balls out. You just need to do a little easy peasy paper piecing. Fun!  I also snuck in the new open zig zag border die-namic and used the fishtail banner.  Today I only used the flat, straight pieces, left off the scallops. That's what's great about this banner, so many ways to change the look.

It's easy to make the insides of your card pretty. Add a border, partial image from the one you used on the front and add your sentiment. Here I created my own with the fun, new typewriter alphabet.

.

There you go and now off you go.  check out Kim's blog...she's got the full set images AND the list of those playing along today.

Day 2...MFT TEASER TIME

Welcome back! Are you just soooo excited about what's to come?  Yesterday's teasers were wonderful. I loooove to go through the hop and see what my fellow DT sisters have done with the new products. Today's line up is a great mix of stamps.....Clearly Sentimental about Music, Flopsey Fishing, Jolinne - Once Upon a TimeAgain, before I get started, here are the details about the upcoming release on April 5th at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

First up from me is a card done up with the Clearly Sentimental about Music set.  It's works great alone, but is even more fabulous when you pair it with some previously released MFT sets and die-namics. I used the Inspired by Music and Inspired by Love set, the Hearts a Plenty die-namics, and Music notes die-namics with this sentiment. You can see, I stamped the music notes from Inspired by Love in Hawaiian shore ink over top of some news print dp die cut into a heart and then added the embellies. Button is tied off with some HoneydewTwine.

The new die-namic you'll spy here is the next in our scallop border series.  I love my scallops and seriously, there is a great advantage to have all sizes in your stash.  Certain projects call for different sized scallops. This one is the  Simply Scallop Medium border.

Next up is sweet lil' Flopsy.

This month he's going fishing. My campfire papers were a perfect fit for this card and I couldn't wait to use another new die-namic, Open Zig Zag border.

I also used the new Four Point Frame die-namic for my sentiment-love that! It is a great, fun shape.

You'll see some Hot Fudge and Sno Cone card stock (it's nice and thick and the colors are great! did you know more colors were just added to the boutique in March?) and Flopsy was stamped on X-press blending cs. I finished the inside, too.

Used another sentiment from the set and the Tear Drop Tree Topper die-namic tied up with, what else? but TWINE. This time, Cappucino. Cute, huh?

That's it from me, today.  Kim's got the full teaser line up. I'll race you over there to see who's playing today!

MFT TEASER day 1...no April fools.

NOPE, no April Fools joke here....today IS the
kick off our April release teasers.  SO much goodness to share this week and I can't wait to get started. It's a photo heavy post today, I hope you don't mind.

Before I get started..Here are the details about the upcoming release on
April 5th at 10 PM EST:
  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog NOW! Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 $10 vouchers being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. :) Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.
Let me start with my sample for this month's Guest Designer contest!  It's such a great prize.....there's no reason to NOT go for it! This month's challenge is Shabby Chic! Interpret as you may, and feel free to take some creative freedom. We're looking for well-executed cards/projects that show good technique and style. Ready for the challenge?
I used 2 new die-namics on my Shabby Chic card-the new High Tea Doily(comes with an easy to use, pop-out tool) and the Tear Drop Tree Topper.

The Stamp sets you'll see today are Flapper Doodle-Hold Me Tight, Typewriter Alphabet, Own Your Story.
I used the new Typewriter Alpha, and Own Your Story sets here. Along with 3 of our new die-namics (that means you get a peek at 5 of the 8 die-namics in my post today!) You'll see lots of beautiful cards done up with these stamps, but  I  SCRAPPED ! It's been too long and I'm ready to dig back in.  I'm feeling a little vulnerable with this page, since it is the first time I'm made a page all about ME! I am patting myself on the back though, cuz I LOVE how this turned out.  I added lots of my FAVE products, colors, and the new die-namics and stamps helped pull it all together.

You'll see the new....
Simply Scallops Medium die-namic
Fish Tail banner die-namic
Four Point Frame die-namic (comes with coordinating stamp set- Own Your Story)
Typewriter Alphabet
MFT Twine

Check out these new die-namic graphics....aren't they pretty???!!! You'll see with the Fish Tail banner and the Four Point Frame, all the different ways you can layer them up, it really is cool! I used all layers to do up my banner. Here's a close up.

Thanks for coming by. Check back each day...I've got lots more to share.
Head on over the Kim's blog to see more.
