A simple layout, but I really wanted to who off the sweet, saluting girl. I thought the dog tag die-namic was a perfect fit for this hero card.
I cut a piece of saraha sand cardstock and then used the direct to paper technique with my silver encore ink pad....I dig the metallic look it gives the tag. I stamped the sentiment right on top. I tied it up with some stone twine. Check out that twine.....YES!!! new colors of twine are in stock. Be sure to add 1 or 4 to your cart on Tuesday night.
Then I carried over some of the same design elements to the inside of my card, and used another sentiment. I added a row of the star border die-namic.
Moving on the the nerdy set (yes, I admit, I'm a bit of a nerdy gerdy at times....aren't we all? LOL!). I don't know what it is about this set, but I just adore it! I think it might have something to do with my obsession with office supplies and lined/ledger paper (this is new from SU). Whenever I get a chance I use it and I'm always drawn to it. I think the notebook edge die-namic is one of my most LOVED dies.
I was inspired by this past week's WSC sketch. I used the twine (here in lilac) the same way I did with my sample. I love that twine adds texture and pretty bows without all the bulk of a ribbon. I did the sentiment up on the new ticket tab (I've also been playing with my neglected ticket corner punch-how fun! I missed that one) and also used the pretty Prima Donna Petals again. Hope you enjoyed todays peeks. More to come tomorrow.
Kim's blog has the teaser line up. Stop on over there for all the details.
