Thanks Paper Smooches

It's the final day of October. How did that happen?? Time just goes crazy fast. That also means my time as a guest designer with Paper Smooches is up. I had a blast creating with Kim's awesome products. I have one more card to share today. Once again, I combined a whole bunch of the newly released products. I just love the coffee themed sets, this

And I'm just in time to mention....you check out the Coffee Lovers Blog and Paper Smooches Collaboration hop. You could win some great prizes! Details HERE

I used the Caffeinated Stamps and coordinating Caffeinated Icons Dies to create my sweet little coffee to go. The sentiment is from Caffeinated Two

In the background I added the houndstooth pattern with a Life Changing Blender Brush and the Essentials Stencils. I finished the cad off with a wooden heart that I colored up with a Copic marker. Papers and inks are all from The Stamp Market.

It's simple, and sweet, and punny....my favorite type of cards. Thanks for hanging with me today. Have a wonderful Halloween.

Catherine Pooler Retro Winter/ Guest Designer

So, I have been holding on to a little secret. I am so excited to share that I am a Guest Designer for the new Catherine Pooler Retro Winter Release. I just adore this release and the new colors of ink....swoon!!!

Today you can purchase all of the new products HERE
I got to play with the Happy Buddies stamp set and dies, along with the papers and inks. OMG....talk about cuteness overload.

My first card shows the darling deer from the set Happy Buddies (there are three critters and some other fun elements included). I colored him up with copics and added a banner and decided on the holidays sentiment from the set stamped in Sangria. I used the matching Happy Buddies dies to cut out the images.

I couldn't resist blending on some of the gorgeous new Hot Tub ink. It's perfect for sky and snowy backgrounds. I splattered on some white ink and added a scattering of the new Sequin pack, Cincinnati Mix. I mean, come on. How could I not love it....it's named after my city.

I grounded the cutie with some strips of fun paper designs from the new 6x6 Feeling Chilly paper pack. I just can't get enough of the color combo in this pack. It's awesome.

My next card I wanted to show off another set of the Happy Buddies. Yep, I had to use the deer again, but I paired him up with the sweet lil' bear.  They are holding the Happy banner and I stamped the "everything" sentiment along the bottom. The matching Happpy Buddies Dies make it easy to cut all the bits out.

I used all four of the new ink colors from the Spa Collection Inks  to give a festive confetti look to the background and tucked in some Cincinnati Mix sequins again. I also layered the stamped panel over a combo of the new Feeling Chilly papers. The patterns all mix and match perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out my Insta page and stories (@lisahenke) for more looks at the projects  I created.

Color Throwdown 567-always be yourself

Hi, everyone!  It’s Lori turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are teal, olive, rust, and navy blue.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD567 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd567 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I couldn't help myself. I had to color up the PFS Dahlia Bouquet flowers with my Polychromos colored pencils. I used these dreamy fall colors to bring them to life.

The sentiment was quick and easy with the Always word die and a stamped sentiment from Charlie The Chameleon

Here's some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the CTD team to get y'all started!

We can't wait to see what you create!

Paper Smooches/ You are a Blessing

I have a few more cards I created as this month's Guest Designer for Paper Smooches. I had fun with this one, as I combined a handful of the just released products. I LOVE the You are a Blessing Die. Talk about versatility! There are so many bits and pieces you can use in this one die.

I tucked in some of the Laurel die pieces. I used a Life Changing Blender Brush to add some color to the leaves. In the background I added a touch of light pink ink with the Essential Stencil.

I will have one more card to share later this week. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great start to the week.

Inspired by-Table Runner (or paper strips)

I think this might be my final Halloween project for 2019. I pieced together some fun patterns from the Reverse Confetti This & That 6x6 paper pad on a quick and easy treat idea. I filled a cello bag with some Ghoul Mix M&M's and then added it to a Scalloped Bag & Treat Creator Confetti Cuts. It's such an easy die to work with. Simply cut two of the dies and score along the bottom at the same distance and adhere the panels together.

I added a sweet little tag decorated with the Trick or Treat Confetti Cut and accented with a few tombstone images from Halloween Gnomes. (All affiliate links are listed below for your convenience at no extra charge. You have no idea how much it means to me. You all are great!). I added a twine bow and attached the tag and bow to the bag with a mini clothes pin.

Check out the Inspired By challenge for more inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon.

Color Throwdown 566-Happy Halloween

Hello friends. I am excited to share this card. I love taking my turn being the color hostess for the Color Throwdown. This week I am playing with the last of my Halloween supplies for the year, I thought you might like that too. I went with a grey, orange, and  cream color combo for you all.

I started with one of my favorite tag dies from Reverse Confetti, See Through Tag Confetti Cuts. I then stamped and colored up the clouds, and two pumpkins from Frightening Friends stamp set. I then cut them out and set them aside while I quickly stamped and colored a few leaf images from the Peony stamp set. I tucked them all in the opening of the See Through Tag Confetti Cuts

the sentiment is from the same Frightening Friends stamp set and I stamped it in midnight ink and trimmed the strip before adding it to the bottom of the tag. I love using tags as my main image panel on a card front. I tucked in a layer of Stormy card stock and added it all to a top folding card base.

Here's some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the CTD team to get y'all started!

Inspired By-pumpkins

Plaid and pumpkins. What could be better? I reached for some Lil' Inker Designs products to pull together a quick, fall card. I am still crushing on The Stamp Market inks and look how cool the Melon ink looks on kraft card stock. I inked up the Cozy Plaid stamp from Lil' Inker Designs. I cut the background layer with the Rounded Stitched Rectangles

I LOVE the Harvest Moon die and it was perfect for my pumpkin scene. I used my Life Changing Blender brushes to blend on some Melon, Cherry, and Leafy inks to add some color to the pumpkins. I stamped a sentiment from Cozy Plaid stamp set and then finished the sentiment with the Hugs Word Die

I added a touch of shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen and tied on some hemp twine to finish it off.  Check out the Inspired By challenge for more inspiration.

Color Throwdown 565- Fall For You

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Jodi is our hostess this week! She chose a spooky color combo of gray, lavender and black! I sure hope you enjoy working with this color combo as much as I have, and of course, you can add any other neutrals necessary in your design!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use keyword CTD565 so that we can find your creations! If uploading to social media, please use #ctd565 and #colorthrowdown so we don't miss a single card! Lastly, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not just to your blog! As always, all of the rules are in the sidebar!

So, I didn't go spooky at all, and was inspired by the wreath from the photo. I went searching for the perfect fit in my RC stash. I almost forgot how pretty this wreath image is from Reverse Confetti. It's from the Fall For You Stamp set. I stamped it onto a Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts. I then used some warm grey tone Copics  and colored up a few of the additional bits in purple to accent the wreath. I used the coordinating Fall For You Confetti Cuts to cut them out and pop them up with foam dimensionals. The background stitching detail is from one of my faves, the Diagonal Stitches Cover Panel

Here's some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the CTD team to get y'all started!

Picket Fence Designs October Release

You guys! It's Release Day and it's sooooo amazing! You are going to want to check out the DT blogs to see all the awesome new stamps, dies, and stencils. As always, there is something for everyone. This month's line up will not disappoint....it's goooood. Trust me! You can see all the NEW PRODUCT HERE!

I love all the critters in the selfie line of stamps. This month we get a sloth and it's pretty fabulous. I colored up the Let's Slow Down image with copics and used the matching Let's Slow Down dies to cut him out. I set him aside while I finished the rest of the card.

I grabbed a Life Changing Blender Brush and the new Ring Of Flowers Stencil to create a soft and pretty background. I Created my sentiment with the Love Ya Word die and then stamped a sentiment from Let's Slow Down along the bottom right. here's a close up of the sentiment detail.

An amazing coffee set is in the line up this month. It's a giant mug called I Like Big Ones. I did some paper piecing to give it a floral design with the Miniature Dahlia Bouquet in Stone ink. I used the I Like Big Ones die to cut out the mug.

Can you see the subtle background I created  with some clear embossing of the Dahlia Bouquet stamp  behind the mug? I love how it looks in real life. You can see a bit of the detail in the next photo.

The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder on Midnight card stock. It's from the It's Peopley Out There stamp set. You are going to want that set. It's a fun one.

So be sure to hop over and see what the rest of the design team has created with this release. It's soooo good. You can find it all over on the PFS Blog.

I am guest designing with Paper Smooches this month and this adorable new set was just released. It's called Caffeinated. I colored it up with Copics and then cut it out with the matching Caffeinated Icons Dies. The sentiment was stamped in Dark Roast ink along the bottom.

I accented the background with the hearts from the Stackers Stencil. I used some RC inks in the background along with some Distress oxide inks. The Life Changing Blender Brushes make for easy ink blending. The challenge colors were perfect for my coffee themed card.
