Curtain Call-Melon notes

The second inspiration challenge is now up with the new Curtain Call Challenge Blog. I couldn't resist the pretty colors and I was drawn to the feathers on the little purse.

I also knew I wanted to use the very cool Stitched  Mats-Circles dies from Lil' Inkers. They were out of stock since they were first released and I snatched them up quick as soon as Laura added them back in the store. They arrived yesterday and I created 3 cards with them. yeah!! they are soooo cool to work with.

Here is my card.

One of the things I love about these circle dies is that the stitch marks are added on the positive AND negative of the pieces you cut out.

I had this kraft panel with the gorgeous stitch marks laying in my scrap pile. I couldn't let it go to waste. I then cut out matching sized circles in the pretty papers from Atlantic paper pad and added them into their matching holes. Love that.

A few feathers were cut using the MFT Arrows and Feathers Die-namics and I tied on some hemp twine and added a splattering of sequins. The sentiment is from another Lil' Inkers set, Flags and Tags. It's stamped in Calypso Coral ink.

Here is the inspiration piece from the Curtain Call. Check out the challenge and play along.

WSC125-spread your wings

Hello crafty friends. Another week, another great sketch with the My Favorite Things WSC.  I put the new Feathers and Arrows Die-namics to work today. The sentiment is from Right on Target and I stamped it in Steel Blue ink. I think this makes for a great Graduation card.

Gosh how I looooove those feathers. I cut three of the smaller one with Natural cardstock and then sponged on some Berrylicious ink to the edges. I fanned them out and tied on a Nightshift Blue button. With the simple, clean layout, it was a great way to show off a larger Die-namics.

I used some Mod Borders in the background. Those chevrons are pretty in Berrylicious ink on the Sno Cone card stock. I layered that rectangle panel onto Night Shift cs and then added a Fishtail Flags Layered Die-namics piece in Kraft cs

Here is this week's sketch.

MFTWSC123-you tickle my fancy

**please Scroll down to see my MFT New Product Tour Post***

I've used some new, just released products here with today's WSC card. All the Brand Spankin' New products can be found HERE.

I really, really love these feathers. I used them on today's card in place of the Fishtail banner included in the sketch.
They are from the Feathers and Arrows Die-namics. Both are so trendy and fun. I paired them up with the coordinating stamp set, Right on Target.

Here is a close up of them. I cut them from Natural cs and then sponged the edges with Sour Apple ink. I used my SU spritzing tool and added some speckles with olive ink. I cut the arrow from Pink Lemonade cs. I stamped the sentiment twice to give a subtle shadow effect. I did it first with Pink Lemonade ink and then again, slightly off set, with Berrylicious ink. I needed a little  something else to fill that space between the words and the feathers, so I added a zig zag stamp from the Hearts and Stitches set.

The large paper buttons are from the Blueprints 1 Die-namics. I tied them up with Hemp Twine. A few other Die-namics I used used to make this card come together quickly, were the Square Stax 1 and Rectangle Stax 1 Die-namics. I also used the large square from the new Blueprints 3 Die-namics. I just can't stop making these larger, 5 inch squares and this die is perfect for matting. The designer paper is from the Studio Calico, Sundrifter 6x6 pack.

Here is this week's sketch. I know you'll love it.
