Garden Party and Posies

Super fun and easy. This week's Catered Crop Challenge is Garden Party! I know you all have plenty of flowers to choose from in your stash, so go for it!

I inked up some of my favorite blooms by Reverse Confetti. I created some bright flowers with the Petals 'n Posies  stamp set and matching Confetti Cut dies. I stamp first and then cut. The dies are so easy to line up. I use a little washi tape to secure the die in place as I run them through my Vagabond. The sentiment is also from the same, Petals 'n Posies. It is such a great go-to sketch.

I used the current Mojo Monday sketch to create this tall and skinny card. The card measures 3.75 x 5.5.

Come play along with us at Catered Crop. Here are some details you might want to note:

What’s growing in your garden? Flowers? Vegetables? Herbs? Weeds!? There’s just something so therapeutic about getting your hands dirty. For this challenge show us anything that might grow in a garden.
  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, June 7.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.
  • Check back with us on June 8 to see if you’ve won an opportunity to be a guest designer.
Thanks for stopping by today. I've got more fun coming up.

RC-Way to Go

 I just adore the new, Winning Stamp set from Reverse Confetti. It's going to be my go-to card for all kinds of celebrations. Stars are a great staple to every one's paper crafting stash.  I made this card a little bit girly with the soft pink and coral colors.

I recently purchased a star stencil from Simon Says Stamp, so I used it to add some texture with some embossing paste. I first cut out a pretty tag with the Tag Me Confetti Cut die, then added the stars. I left it to dry and got busy cutting some waves (Doin' the Wave) with pretty glitter paper. I love how they give movement to my die cut star (Oh my Stars). It looks like a shooting star!

I chose  a few sentiments from Winning and added them to the top of my tag and tied on a double twine bow.  In the background you notice  additional stamped accents from the Winning stamp set

All product can be found in the Reverse Confetti Shop

Have a beautiful week! I've got LOTS coming up real soon. Exciting news and lots of pretties! Hope you'll join me.

Curtain Call-Pajama Party Reminder

There is still lots of time to play along with us over at the Curtain Call Challenge Blog. TCP is the sponsor this go round. Come check it out.

Here is another card, playing up all those lovely red chevrons. Sometimes it's nice to just show case a sentiment. I love this one from the darling set, Reel Experts. I used my favorite circle die by TCP from the Framed 2 Cut ups to showcase this sentiment.

I added a few other Cutups for handmade embellies, Heart Trio and Flower Bluttons

Here is the Curtain Call Pajama Party inspiration photo.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch  #136.  The link up ended yesterday, but that's ok. It is still a good one.
Thanks for stopping by today. See you back soon!

Poppy Sketch {You're So Cool}

It took me a few days to figure out how to work out this week's Poppy sketch. I loved it, but I wasn't feeling it right away. So after going back to look at it at least 4 different times, it finally hit me. I used the cool new set, Let's Chill by Reverse Confetti. TO be honest, I was really inspired by THIS sweet card by Diane. Swoon!

I used the So Stripey set along the bottom in a Pistachio Pudding ink. I then cut out two of the fun popsicle images from the Let's Chill Confetti Cuts. At first I filled in the centers with my wink of stella glitter marker. Then I decided to add some Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter.

I struggled with the peachy color in the challenge, so I pulled it in just a little bit by using Insulation pink for the popsicle sticks and the card base. I stamped the sentiment in Simon Says Stamp, Smoke ink.

As a finishing touch, I splattered on some Mint Green Color Shine. I made this card a little skinnier than most. It's 4 inches x 5.5.

Here is the sketch. You'll see I flipped it to my favorite vertical card orientation.

I am also taking another shot at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Die Crazy

Sweet Sunday Sketch 220 {fur you}

Soft kitty, warm kitty.......are you a Big Bang fan? I couldn't help but think about Sheldon's Kitty nighttime song as I type this up. LOL. I picked up this sweet image by Lil' Inker Designs the other week. It was perfect for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I made it  just Fur You.

I acutally used all LID products on this card. I just can't get enough of those great stitched dies. I decided to watercolor the kitty using my Distress Markers and Aqua painter. After it was all dry, I added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella glitter marker. It's pretty cool!

Here is this week's sketch.
