Day 3 Lil' Inker Designs April Release and CTD490

Woohoo! It's our final day of our hop with the new April Release products from Lil' Inker Designs. It's a fabulous release and you are going to fall in love with all the sweetness. I did! It's day two of our release.

The FULL release is available now, though, if you can't wait and NEED to shop right away. But don't forget to hop along with us for a chance at a prize (see the graphic below for details).
Today I am celebrating mom! I used the awesome new Best Mom stamp set for both cards here. On the first one, I started with a Silly Stitched rectangle and then got busy stamping the gorgeous florals from Best Mom

I added the sentiment in a grey ink. I tucked in some clear sequins to finish it off. I used a pink polka dotted paper to the background and added a strip of grey card stock along the edge.

For my last card I used this week's Color Throwdown colors and the new Spring Wreath die set. It's such an easy way to create layered (or individual wreaths) with some floral accents.

Here is the new challenge from Color Throwdown #490.

Pretty in pink and covered in flowers, Peggy Porschen Parlour may well be the cutest cafĂ© in London. Opened in 2011, the Peggy Porschen Parlour serves a large variety of cakes, cookies, and teas.  Though I've never visited, I fell in love with their beautiful entrance as I was browsing online for color inspiration photos.  I hope you'll enjoy this week's pastel palette of pinklavendergreen and light gray! Thanks Wanda for the gorgeous inspiration.

In the back ground I used the cool new Dotted Chevron Cover Plate, but this time I only punched out the holes from the top half of the panel. I love the extra bit of interest it adds. I created the sentiment with the "happy" word die from the Spring Wreath dies and masking off part of a sentiment from Best Mom

Here is a close up of the leaf and flower detail from the Spring Wreath dies. I love it.

You know it wouldn't be a release without some PRIZES!!

Laura is so generous....be sure to leave comments along the hop for a chance to WIN!

Day 2 Lil' Inker Designs April Release

Woohoo! I have been busy creating with all the new April Release products from Lil' Inker Designs. It's a fabulous release and you are going to fall in love with all the sweetness. I did! It's day two of our release.

Let's jump right in. I have lots to share. This is our first day of sneak peeks. Stick around for the next three days to see what the design team has created with all these amazing products. The FULL release is available now, though, if you can't wait and NEED to shop right away. But don't forget to hop along with us for a chance at a prize (see the graphic below for details).

I think the whole design team has fallen in love with this stamp set and I think you will too. It's called One Love and the giant heart world stamp is just wonderful. I inked it up with some green ink and rolled the edges with a darker green. I then used the One Love dies to cut out the word "love" and the outline of the heart.

I added it to a Silly Stitched Rectangle and stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto some black card stock and then embossed it with white embossing powder. I stamped some aqua hearts over top and embellished with some sequins. I used some of the awesome striped Dip Dyed Ombre' paper.

I love  this series of stamps and I was so excited to another stamp  added to the line up. It makes for such a stunning, quick card. I started with some water color paper and created an aqua washed background and cut it out with the Silly Stitched Rectangle die

Once it was dried, I stamped the Have a Nice Day stamp in black ink. I added it to a green chevron striped pattern cardbase and tucked in some lime green sequins for a bit of bling.

It's almost graduation time, so it always a good idea to beef up the grad cards in the stash. Last year Laura released the uber cool Grad Class stamp set and this year she had the brilliant idea to create Grad Class 2018

I accented the sentiment with a frame I created with the Stitched Mats-rectangles and Stitched Stars dies. Enamel dots finished it off.

You know it wouldn't be a release without some PRIZES!!

Lil' Inker Designs April Release

Woohoo! I have been busy creating with all the new April Release products from Lil' Inker Designs. It's a fabulous release and you are going to fall in love with all the sweetness. I did!

My first card shows off a festive birthday shaker card. I used the Shaker Tag Die Set along with the gorgeous Hand Drawn Happiness set. I just adore the font, it's so sweet.

I really wanted the shaker element to take center stage so in the background I just used the Dotted Chevron Cover Up. It's such a fun die.

My next card shows the great new plaid stamp from the Brushed Plaid set. I stamped it in Stone ink on stone card stock for a tone on tone look. I used some of the accent stamps in a Mist ink and a darker grey ink to add accent strips to the plaid. I cut it all out with the Silly Stitched Square

I created the sentiment with the Hello Word die and Brushed Plaid stamp set. I cut the "hello" from some pattern paper and stamped the rest of the greeting onto a banner piece from the One Love Die set (more on that later this week).

You know it wouldn't be a release without some PRIZES!!

Laura is so generous....be sure to leave comments along the hop for a chance to WIN!

Before we jump into the rest of the hop, be sure to give a warm welcome to our newest team member, Caly Person! Her work is fabulous and you are in for a treat.

Color Throwdown 489-Thank You Apple

It's time for Color Throwdown Challenge. Check out our new colors.

Good Morning!  We have a gorgeous color combo from Vickie for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #489!  I am in the mood for spring and while I love strawberries, these colors called for apples and a sweet card for a teacher. Well, that's what I had in mind today.

I hope you'll like creating with the colors redgreen, and white for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD489, and please use #ctd489 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I pulled out the Kindness Cards and a quad of RC inks to to create an ombre effect for the sentiment. I first cut some Polar White card stock with the Rounded Rectangle from Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts. I used my Misti to line up the sentiment as I stamped it each time in the following inks: Piggy Bank, Flamingo, Magenta, and Salsa. I finished the sentiment with addition of the "for your kindness" in Midnight ink at the bottom.

I then inked up the way cool apples from All Apples. It's still one of my favorite stamp sets. I used Grass, Avocado, and Lime Green inks for the apple and leaves and then cut them out with the coordinating All Apples Confetti Cuts

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!!
