Sweet Sunday Sketch 194-rainbows

It's been two week since our last Sweet Sunday Sketch. I'm back with another sample and a new sketch. As usual, there are so many options on how to use the sketch. I turned it into a tall, standard A2 card size and used the fabulous Count your Rainbows stamp set from Reverse Confetti for my card today.

I stamped some small polka dots on the bottom rectangle layer. They are from Whole Lotta Dots. Since the sentiment from Count Your Rainbows is two different stamps, it was easy to stamp them on the two Cloud Stax Die-namics, in two different color inks.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and fun Die-namics I used to accent my card.

Here is SSS194.

Be sure to stop on by to see what the
rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch DT
has done with this week's
sketch.

And then be sure to join us by using the Linky tool on Karen's blog. You have two weeks to play along, before the next sketch is up. I can't wait to check out what you've done with it.

Have a great week.

Unity and Friends with Flair-Gratitude Trees

It's been a while since I have
linked up anything with
the Friday
linky.

Did you know you could share your
Unity Stamp Co.
creations with everyone
quick and easily
EVERY FRIDAY??

I've got two cards today
using the same stamp set.
This one is this month's
Layers of Life set, called

I'm in love! The images
are gorgeous and
there are so many ways to combine them.
I love how blue (navy inparticular)
is showing up in
fall color combos this season.
I used that in both of my cards today.

I stamped the tree image off the the left
side of my cardstock , a bit.
Adds a bit of interest and tied in to the
strip of fuse green cardstock I added along the side.

I stamped the sentiment
onto a strip of blue striped designer paper,
and then accented that with some Hot Fudge cs
and a few fun enamel dots.

I used the same
 stamp set for my
next card and
used this month's
Be Inspired sketch.
Come play along.
You can see the challenge details.

I wanted to show off the gorgeous leaves
included in this stamp set.
I stamped them onto
some Farmhouse Paper co.
paper in brown and grey ink
and then cut them out.
I sponged on some distress ink and
ran them through my Crimper
for more texture.

You can also see I used the large tree stamp, again.
but I stamped it with
a Versamark pad,
 to give a watermark feel
to the background.
it's subtle and so sweet.

Happy Friday!!
Be sure to stop by the Unity Blog
for the FWF
link up.

Reverse Confetti Halloween Sweets

I love paper crafting. It's no secret, obviously. I know I make a ton of cards, but one of my favorite things about this obsession  hobby is making cute and quick little treats for any occasion. All you need is a cello bag and some paper and stamps.

I pulled out the adorable Halloween sets from Reverse Confetti, Spooky Cuties and Spooky Sentiments to make a trio of tags for my yummy fall M&M treat bags. Making something crafty for candy was my excuse to buy some chocolate so early. See, here in our house, I can't buy Halloween candy early......we eat it! haha.

To get started, I used a few dies I had on hand to create my base for each of the tag. They are all similar, but I used different arrangements of the die cuts and colors. This makes for quick assembly.
The first one shows off the fabulous larger sentiment. I wanted it to take center stage. I then stamped the three-part jack 'o lantern in orange, black and fuse green ink.

A bit of fussy cutting (so easy with these stamps. They are large enough and the images are bold enough that cutting them out takes no time at all.) and I used a foam dimensional to pop him up. I also added a row of purple dots for a bit more interest. Love those Whole Lotta Dots

For the next one, I cleaned off my polka dot border stamp and inked it up again, but this time in the Fuse green ink. I stamped the full white circle with it. Then I stamped the Spooky Sentiment right over top with dark grey ink. I spied some washi tape on my desk, so I wrapped a piece of that around the bottom of the circle. The Boots were stamped in black, cut out and yep, popped up with a dimensional.

This one is my favorite. I used three of the images from Spooky Cuties (bat border, fence, and ghost) along with the trick or treat sentiment. The ghost was a last minute addition. I popped him up with some foam dimensionals.

Here's a closer look at the stamp sets I used.

Here's the full trio again. I'm excited to have these already to go in my stash for the boys. I think I'll tuck them in their lunch boxes on Halloween. Tricky part now is to hide them, so they don't find them.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Hump Day!

TCP-Tuesday Challenge {paper piecing}

Hello and welcome to the Tuesday Challenge with The Cat's Pajamas. This is a monthly challenge with a theme. We sure hope you'll  play along. I'll list the challenge details at the bottom of my post.

This month's challenge is to paper piece. This is one of my favorite ways to dress up a stamped line-art image. TCP has sooooo many great stamps to paper piece with .

I went looking through my stash and happily re-discovered this adorable bear image. The stamp set is called Have a Cuppa I ♥ her! I went ahead and colored her up with my Distress Markers. I'm still learning with these, but think I am getting better with my shading.

I had some Walnut Grove designer paper on my desk and the bits and scraps were perfect for piecing up the sweet little apron. I made sure to hit the edges with some Old Paper distress ink, as this helps blend in the cuts you made with your scissors, masking the white from the backside and core of the paper you are using.

I used the Sketch-n-Scrap layout for my card. I cut some SU brown sugar core-dinations texture paper and ran it through my Vagabond with a woodgrain impression plate. I used a sanding block to rough up the texture and show off the inside core of the cardstock. I then added some stitching in a circular pattern, to follow the sketch.

I cut some strips of coordinating patterns from the same paper pack. I used the lightest pattern to stamp my sentiment on. I cut a pretty heart using the fun Heart Trio cut up. I added a sweet button and my favorite double twine bow tied behind the button.

Here are the Deets.

Meeeeow!!! I'm joining the Cat Pack!

Good things just keep happening around here! I'm so excited to let you all know that Alma has asked me to join The Cat's Pajama's Design Team. I have been a long time lover of TCP stamps and dies and I'm thrilled to be joining the talented pack  of  Kitties!!!

The Cat's Pajamas

In honor of my big reveal day....I've got a card to share :)

I pulled out the fun Mustache Cut Up dies to make another boy-ish birthday card. It seems like I am forever needing birthday cards for my boys' friends. :) No problem when you have the right stamps and dies.

I used Iwona's SketchBook Saturday sketch challenge for my layout.  I cut the stache from Steel Blue card stock and added it to a star die cut. I used a sentiment from the coordinating TCP set, The  Mustache Set. The punny sentiment just makes me smile.

You'll be seeing LOTS more TCP cards from me soon. I've had some fun pulling out what I already own and getting re-acquainted with them.....kitties, bunnies, bears, and penguins.....OH MY!!!  AND I had a little fun shopping online yesterday morning. Yeah!

Happy Stamping!
