Reverse Confetti/ Super Birthday

Hello friends. It's been a doozie of a week for me as I have been playing nurse to  my hubby recover from shoulder surgery, working, and keeping the household running. I am grateful to have a hobby I love, that fills my soul, that gives me a chance to step away from my crazy busy life that I love, to have some Me time! I created this card for my BIL. I love the new So Super set. I colored up the boy Super with my Copics. I used the So Super Confetti Cuts to cut out the super boy and the city scape. I set it aside and got busy on the background.

I cut the Stitched Rays Confetti Cuts from Premium Polar White card stock and then did some ink smooshing to create the bold sunshiney background. I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink and tied on some bakers twine.

I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

Color Throwdown #536 / Lil' Inker Designs

Hello. I am the host for with this week's Color Throwdown #536 colors. I picked some soft and pretty Spring color that I hope you find inspiring-cream, mauve, and moss green.

I used all Lil' Inker Designs products on today's card and I am getting into the Easter, Spring mood. Laura has some fun Easter and Spring Bundles for you.
Check them out HERE:

I started with the gorgeous Eyelet Cover Up die. I layered some moss colored cardstock behind the panel to peek through the pattern. Along the bottom I stamped some buffalo plaid from the Cozy Plaid stamp set in a light purple ink. This plaid bunny was inspired by a photo Laura shared with us. I cut it out with the Happy Bunny Border die. The bunny border is so cute and I love that you can have them facing forward or backwards. I wanted to show off their cute little tails.

I used a sentiment from the Happy Bunny Stamp Set. it's such a sweet set and I love the sentiment.

Reverse Confetti/ March Stock Your Stash

March is coming to a close and that means there is just a little more time to get in your cards for the Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the RC Blog. This month's challenge theme is Easter/Spring.

I think it is safe to say we are well on our way to Spring here in the Midwest. It's still chilly but we are seeing more sunshine and bits of green starting to peek through. It makes me excited. I look forward to seeing some Spring bunnies soon. Today I colored up the sweet bunny from Spring Pals

I blended on some Baby Blue ink in the background and mounted the bunny and flowers from Spring Pals onto a Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cut. I added the sentiment along the bottom in Midnight ink.

Here are the challenge details.

I was itching to use some of the newest release products from Reverse Confetti, specifically the Hatbox Florals. I colored up the main image with Copics and used the Hatbox Floral Confetti Cuts  to cut it out. I then cut three of the Hello & Thanks Word Duo Confetti Cuts in Buttercup card stock. I adhered them together to add my favorite dimension to my sentiment.

I completed the sentiment with the amazing new Word Up stamp set. I am finding it has a sentiment to fit any occasion. I added this to a panel of Premium Polar white card stock cut with the Diagonal Stitched Cover Panel

Here is a detailed shot of the new Hatbox Floral stamp set. I added the light green from the challenge colors to the leaves of the flowers.

Picket Fence Studios March Release/ Giveaway

So excited about all the goodness from Picket Fence Studios this release! So much goodness, it was hard to choose what to share today. Just be sure to check out the team's blogs for all the awesomeness.
It's the March Release and along with the amazing new products I also have a GIVE AWAY!!!

Leave a comment below and I will pick a winner for a $15 Gift Certificate to the PFS Store!
You have until March 18 9pm EST to leave a comment.

So first up from me is this sparkly mermazing card! Yes, that mermaid set has been around, BUT the background stencil is new and I am in love. I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide inks and then added some glimmer paste to add the shine. Remove the stencil and it's magic! I set it aside to dry so I could get busy coloring up this beauty.

The mermaid and the little bits I added to my scene are from Little Coral Girl stamp set. I used the Little Coral Girl die to cut her out once I had the image colored with copics. I heat embossed the sentiment in Versamark and Alabaster White embossing powder. Here's a closer look at the gorgeous shimmer from the Glimmer paste.

I have been having a lot of fun with the PFS stencils recently. This Random Dots Stencil that released last month hasn't left my desk. It reminds me of a wild cat pattern, leopard or cheetah, so I thought it would be a fun way to do up the newest kitty stamp, Maddie Kitten. I started this card with some ink blending, using the Life Changing Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide inks in Wild Honey and Scattered Straw. I then splattered on a bit of Stormy for a touch of dark grey. Once this dried I stamped Maddie over top in Intense Black ink.

I added a trip of teal pattern paper and a pretty teal twine bow to her ear and mounted it up on a Sand card base. The sentiment is too sweet!

There is so much more to see! Be sure to check us out on Instagram, and the Picket Fence Studios Blog for a list of the Design Team members and their gorgeous projects. Happy shopping! You can shop the New Release Here

Color Throwdown 534/ The Stamp Market Hi

Hi everyone,  Amy is  with us as this week's host. We welcome you to this week's Color Throwdown challenge! The colors we're using from the inspiration piece above are light blue, brown and orange

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD534, and please use #ctd534 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.  Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please use a direct link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  All of the rules are in the right sidebar, so check them out if you're unsure.  And no digital designs will be allowed - only digital images that are printed off and colored.

I'm so excited I got to ink up my new stamps from The Stamp Market. They just released their March stamps, dies and gorgeous new papers (I didn't get to use those yet). I used the Confetti dots in my background with Baby Blue ink on Polar White card stock.

Oh, that leaf die....it's to die for! It's called Botanical Beauty and I am looking forward to working with it again very soon.  I also couldn't resist the fun scripty "hi" from the Scallop Frame Die. I cut it from Sand card stock and then sponged on some Espresso Distress ink. I struggled pulling in that brown color for the challenge, so I added it in minimally with the ink blending and some sequins. If you are having trouble using a color for a challenge, my tip is to go small with it. Use it sparingly, save it for an accent with an embellishment or a sentiment. It works for me.

I tucked in the orange for the challenge with the flowers from Dear Friend and the teeny little sentiment strip.

Picket Fence Studios/ Freshly Made Sketches: favorite human

You might be surprised to know I am a cat lover. I love my pups, we have two giant golden retrievers that I love to death, but I also love kitties. I asked every year for a cat for my birthday, it was FINALLY  my 9th birthday that my wish came true. I got the pick of a litter from friends of ours and chose the prettiest calico. Her name was Fluffy and I loved her dearly. Tim and I had two cats and now we are just a dog house, but I secretly wish for a cat in my life again.
So for now, I will enjoy coloring up these sweet kitties from Picket Fence Studios. This duo is from the set, Pretty Kitties

In the Background I used the new Random Dots Stencil and with the Life Changing Blending Brushes blended on some Distress Oxide inks in Spun Sugar, Festive Berry, and Wild Honey and then I added my  new favorite product....glimmer paste!!

I used the current Freshly Made Sketches for this card.
Check out the link up here.

Have a great weekend!

Reverse Confetti/ March Release

It's here, it's here....the March Release from Reverse Confetti is LIVE! I'm so excited to see you all get these awesome products into your hands.

All the new release products can be found HERE.  I can't wait to see what you add to your craft stash.....but before you shop, you might want to take one last look at what the team had created.

I am so happy with how this card turned out and I can't wait to gift it to my mom on Mother's Day. Those sweet little duckies are from the Spring Pals stamp set. I colored them up with Copics and and then cut them out with the matching Spring Pals Confetti Cuts

I HAD to finally put the stitched note card from the Stitched Note & Frames Confetti Cuts to work. It was the perfect backdrop for my ducks and sentiments. I cut out the "mom" from Mom & Dad Confetti Cuts with one of the pretty dots from Darling Dots 6x6 paper pad. I also stamped a sweet little extra greeting from Word Up in Midnight ink along the bottom. I love it. I added some layers of Tangerine and Buttercup card stock.

My last card came to be when I picked up the cut out scrap from the Stitched Hex Tag Confetti Cut. I added some wonky strips of the Darling Dots paper in the background. I finished it off with the Thanks & Hello Confetti Cuts. I cut three layers of it in Stormy card stock, glued them together and then added some yummy glimmer paste.

I'm obsessed! I finished the sentiment with another strip of words from Word Up! It is seriously a must have stamp set. It goes with all the things!

Ok, come hop with me!

and here is a look at the New Products I used on today's projects.

Thanks so much for all your support and comments all week long.
I appreciate you!
