Inspired By:home sweet home/ Reverse Confetti

Hello friends. I am back with the Inspired By team for this week's challenge. My eye was drawn to the bright green of the couch and those blue triangles in the pillow. I combined the two colors on my card using some fun Reverse Confetti products.

I love that Triangles Cover Panel and I cut it from some Sand card stock and popped it up with foam dimensionals. I used a Life Changing Blending Brush to add in the Grass Green and Island Blue inks to the card base, so the colors peaked through the die cut triangles.

I customized the sentiment with the Hooray & Cheers Confetti Cuts and a greeting from Word up. I didn't have the exact color of card stock I wanted so I went to some ink blending again to create a Grass Green die cut. At the last minute I decided it needed some sparkle, so I covered the die cut word with Gina K's Glitz Glitter Gel. It is such a cool texture and just the right amount of shine.

Come check out the challenge and play along. I'd love to see what inspires you from the photo. Inspired by: Home Sweet Home

And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designsonly digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I was inspired by that giant floral on the right of the photo and colored up the gorgeous The Best Days stamp set with copics. I cut the bouquet out with the coordinating The Best Days Confetti Cuts (all affiliate links listed below, at no extra charge to to. I appreciate you if you shop from any of my links).

I pulled in the kraft color with the pretty hearts in the background. I created a stencil with the Oh My Hearts Cover Panel. I used a Life Changing Blender Brush with the Sand ink to create the pretty background. The sentiment was stamped in Flamingo ink.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Color Throwdown/ Reverse Confetti/ Watercolor Thanks

Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy is our host for week's Color Throwdown challenge! She found this fabulous painting on Crate and Barrel and loved the colors!  The colours for this week are to use Grey, Lime Green, Purple, FuschiaRemember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in neutrals (white/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD581, and please use #CTD581 and #colorthrowdown on social media so we can find your gorgeous creations!  When linking up your creation using the linky tool below, please be sure to link your specific post, not a general link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, and you can always check there to be sure!

I am a little late with my post today, but that's Okay. My card was finished, I just needed to get the time to photograph and edit it. I love how this turned out. I used the ink smooshing technique (pressed distress ink onto some clear acetate and spritzed with water and smooshed it onto the water color paper). I did one color at a time and used my heat gun to help  dry the paper. I added some ink to my craft mat and then picked up some of the ink and added some splatters.

Before I cleaned up my ink , I used a scrap strip of water color paper and picked up the ink. It might not look fantastic, but it is always great to use for word dies. I cut the word thanks from the Hello & Thanks Confetti Cuts and layered up three pieces of the paper. I cut a strip of silver glitter paper and added that to the bottom of the water colored paper. I adhered the word to the top of that and then tucked in some sequins for an extra touch of glam.

Picket Fence Studios/ February Release

Hello friends. It's another exciting day, it's time for the February Picket Fence Studios Release! Like always, it's sooooo so good!
Before I jump in....SALE-20% off the

Okay. are you ready? I am giving you fair warning, I am obsessed with the stencils from this release. I think I used them on every card I made. PFS stencil game is always strong, but it's even better this month, especially with the new Paper Glazes. Let me show you.
So these released at Creativation and there is an beautiful array of colors. I used two of the gel colors on this first card with the Fancy Flourishes Stencil on midnight card stock.

I used the Daffodil Yellow,  Golden Rose and Snow White Glazes. I love the shimmer and sheen these glazes have when they dry. They add a fun texture to any project. The white toned down the golden and orange color, I love the variation in color that happened when I overlapped the two.

I used a few fun layers and added a circle window to really accent the stenciled paper glaze background. I kept the sentiment simple, which was easy because of the new Hello Word die. OMG. I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have this word die. I love the little scripty tale at the front of it. I cut it from silver glitter paper.

I love this next card. It uses a new work themed set, called This is Where I work. I have two part time gigs that I work at. I love them both and feel fortunate to work with the people I do. While neither of my jobs are at a traditional office setting (one is at a preschool and the other at a fitness studio), I still love this set. I stamped the large office space and did some minimal coloring with my copics for this card. I trimmed it down to fit the front panel size I wanted and added a black boarder and a touch of aqua with a scalloped border strip.

You can see in the background I used the fabulous new Funky Leaf Stencil with some light green inks, blended on with a Life Changing Blender Brush

I added a sentiment from the new Work Sucks stamp set. It's fun, and snarky and right up my alley. Such a great way to send a card to a co-worker. You can see more of the coloring I did on the This is Where I Work image.

Don't miss out on the other design team cards. We are all sharing on our blogs and on social media. So many good things to see.
Oh, and don't miss our SALE-20% off the

Have a great Friday and HAPPY Valentine's Day!

No digital designs will be allowed - only digital images that are printed off and colored.

It's no secret, my favorite stamp from RC might just be by favorite stamp set. It's called Big Bear. oh, how I love that bear. He is holding a cake from Later Alligator stamp set. I colored both images with my copics and used the coordinating Confetti Cuts to cut them each out.

I started this card with the background, it's an old stencil and I used a Life Changing Blender Brush to add some Grape Soda ink.

I combined a couple sentiment sets, OMG and Birthday Wishes, both stamped in Midnight ink. The OMG was inked onto Stormy card stock and then I cut out the letters with the OMG Confetti Cuts

I used some foam dots to pop up the bear and the letters. I can't wait to give this to my son today. It's his birthday and we have another celebration.

Reverse Confetti February Creative Hop

Hello Fetti Fans. It's the 8th! and that means great stuff on the web today with the Reverse Confetti Crew. It's our Creative Hop. Grab a cuppa your favorite beverage and join me to see what awesomeness the crew has for you, we are sharing all the critters today. Yay! You know I love my critters and I put them work on some sweet little candy boxes for my boys.

I LOVE how easy it is to make these little square boxes. I cut two from Premium Polar White and one from Mist card stock using the Confetti Cuts. I used the heart die from the Huggable Confetti Cuts to make the little window on my boxes. I cut a piece of clear acetate to cover the hole. I filled the boxes with some conversation heart candies and tied them up  with some ribbon from my stash.

I then got busy coloring up my sweet little critters . I pulled three from three different sets, Huggable (the mouse), Cheerful Pals (the owl), and Flowers for a Friend (the lion).

I colored them with copics and used the coordinating Confetti Cuts. I hand cut three banner strips and stamped little Valentine greetings using the So Very Lovely stamp set.

Color Throwdown 579/ Reverse Confetti

Good Morning... Happy Wednesday!! Time for another challenge. Vickie is our hostess for Color Throwdown Challenge #579!  This week we're playing with the colors, dark blue/navy, light blue, pink, and white. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD579, and please use #ctd579 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I needed a sympathy card this week, so I used this week's colors to make this one with my favorite RC floral set, Peony. I decided to not color it this time, but instead I stamped it in Navy ink onto Mist card stock and I stamped the leaves in Piggy Bank ink on to Piggy Bank card stock and the Premium Polar White. I used the coordinating Peony Confetti Cuts.

I stamped a sentiment from Beautiful Memories in Navy ink and added a strip of Sweet Stripes paper along the bottom. I framed it all up with the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts
