So, today we get to share peeks at the two new stamp sets with matching die-namics! You know how I love that. And like I said in my creative chat post earlier this week, MFT takes the guess work out of whether to buy the dies or not....because they come together! So on to my samples....the sets are called Homespun Birdhouse, First Class Friend.
If you've been around my blog awhile, you know I have a thing for bird stamps. I can't resist. With this set, there is a darling birdhouse and fabulous bird dies, plus a great heart shape and circle (staples that are great to have in all sizes!). Here, just look at it!
And now my card. I love using just die-namics to make a pretty scene. I cut the birdhouse from some corrugated cardboard I had in my stash. Added some ink to the edges for extra deatil. The bird I cut from yummy MFT felt. Are you wondering about the branch and tag? YES! those are new die-namics, too.
The new dog tag and branch with leaves. The branch is way cool, and a perfect fit with the birdhouse theme.
I also added a touch of scallop to the bottom of my background layer with the small simply scallop border die-namic. Pretty little bows of twine finish off the outside details.
I couldn't help myself and did up the inside, too. I used more of the stamps from the set and the complete sentiment this time. Love those birdie legs.
Now let's take a looksie at the First Class Friend set. I showed you the cool giant postage stamp in my post yesterday. Today you get to see how it works with the FULL set.
Again, it's a show stopper! Not only are the die-namics fabulous....the set is HUGE!
Here's what I did with it. I separated the middle die cut piece and made a little extra love note to tuck into the little kraft baggie. Speaking of that baggie, one of my FAVE parts of the stamp set is the text block. It looks great and if you read it, it has a great message.
Here's a closer look at that. The mini postage stamp was die cut and then I stamped over it with the heart and the cancellation stamp....so fun!
And if the front wasn't busy enough for you, I again, couldn't help myself with the inside. It's just too fun, not to add a little stampy collage with this set. I did up the bottom left corner, leaving plenty of room for my own love note, when the time is right.
I think that's probably enough for today.....be sure to Check Kim's blog for the list of teaser posts today!
Before you go....here's another look at how these die-namics and stamp sets work together.
