First up today I'm showing a card made with the new Triple Scoop stamp set. You can earn this set for FREE with a qualifying order next week, and all throughout the month of December. You can read all about the Triple Scoop Program HERE.
It's a pretty sweet deal. Plus with the fun graphic style of this set it's WELL worth the extra to get it for FREE.
I first used the newest Stax Die-namics-Postage Stamp Stax to cut out my layer for my sentiment. I then used some washi tape to help mask off the top flourishes and inked only the words in grey ink. After I stamped that, I cleaned the stamp extra good. Twine to be exact and then stamped it on a scrap piece of paper to make sure NO residual ink or cleaner was left behind. Take the extra time to do this, so you don't muck up what you just stamped. Next I used more washi tape to mask the words this time and inked ONLY the flourishes with MFT Wild Cherry Ink. Gorgeous!!
I picked a mix of patterns from this new Valentiney paper by My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found 3-Ruby. Guess what?? You can get it from the MFT Boutique. SWEET! I hit all the edges with more of my favorite Antique Linen Distress ink.
Here's another look at the new dies and the sentiment. I also cut a teeny tiny heart from the Notched Tag Die-namics. I attached it with the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
My card needed just another little extra something, so I added a strip of the new MINI DOUBLE DOT BORDER DIE-NAMICS. I cut it from a red pattern paper to really make it pop.
I have a scrapbook page to share next. I am still struggling with how to photograph these larger 12x12 layouts. I scored a new DSLR camera on Black Friday and I am learning it and practicing with it. I'm super excited to have a little lesson on shooting in Manual next week with my friend who's a photographer.
So for now, here's what I have for you. While organizing some pictures the other week, I found this photo of me and hubby on our wedding day. It was in a frame that broke, years ago, so it was just free floating around in my craft room. I now made it permanent on a scrapbook page.
Under the picture, I added the new BRACKET DUO DIE-NAMICS. I stamped the month with the July stamp from Inspired by Months of the Year and then (you can really see it all that well) the year was stamped with the numbers from the Journal it-Calendar Basics set.
Okay...I'm done being mushy. LOL! Hop on over to Kim's Blog....she's got the line up for today's inspiration!
