Day 2 MFT Teasers {Rock On!}

So did we get your attention yesterday??? It's always exciting around here in MFT land! We have so much more to share.

Today is the Laina Lamb debut for the month. We are getting a bit nostalgic with these stamps and Die-namics. I just think they are so cool! The stamps sets are called: Document It - Rock On; Journal It - Playlist! You can see a peek at the full sets and coordinating Die-namics at the end of my post. These sets are great for scrapbooking AND cardmaking.
I have to say, the Rock On stamp set is a great guy set. I know I will get LOTS of use out of it for my tween boys! I created a birthday card to show you what I mean. 

I pulled out the cute MME-Boy Crazy papers and paired up the turquoise chevron patter with the yummy Gumdrop Green and Kraft cs. I used the Traditional Tags Stax for my accent panel on the card front. 

The guitar and giant, embossed star are from the awesome Die-namics set, ACCENT IT-ROCK AND ROLL.  Did you notice the stud marks all around that star? This die cuts and embosses all at the same time! Love that. I recommend using the metal adapter plate shim to really get the embossing to stand out. 

I added some collage stamping to the tag with some images from the Rock On Stamp set as well as some of the cool arrows from Right This Way that was released last month. Those arrows are always fun to tuck in here and there on lots of different projects.  I used all MFT inks on this card-Black Licorice, the new Gumdrop Green and Blue Raspberry ( stamped this one off once before stamping the hand image), as well as some Kraft and Lemon Drop. 

I distressed most of the edges on this card and finished the tag off with a Black Licorice Button , Berrylicious ribbon, and some charcoal twine. One last detail I added was a row of black chevrons  from Spring Background. I seriously LOVE this stamp!

I also did up the inside of my card. Simple and quick to do. I added a Star Stax Die-namics with as sentiment stamped in Black Licorice and added a few stars in Lemon Drop ink above a bit more of the chevron paper to tie the inside together with the card front.
