Color Throwdown-{wonderful friend birthday}
We were at it again. Yep, my longtime stamping friend, Kristin Moore and I tried to get some virtual stamping time in this week. We seemed to miss each other while were on line, BUT we did manage to work in the same challenges.
I have been wanting to play along with the color Throwdown challenges for some time now. My fellow MFT DT member, Barbara, is always posting beauties with all the wonderful color combinations.
Well, I picked a doozie of week to play along. THESE colors were a challenge to me.
For some reason, I can not get past Christmas with a red and green combo. BUT I think I out ok with my card. I used mostly all MFT products here today. I am in.love. with the Black houndstooth stamp on Kraft cs. It's from the Spring Background stamp set.
The flowers are Elecrtic Red Upsy-Daisy Die-namics. This has always been a favorite flower Die-namics of mine. I tucked the a pretty Gumdrop Green Leaf-filled Flourish behind it.
I added a bit more texture by adding a panel of sweet tooth card stock embossed with a Honeycomb embossing folder from SU. I then wrapped around some natural burlap twine.
The sentiment if from the newest Pretty Poppies stamp set. The fonts in this set are awesome. I can't stop using them. ♥♥♥
Be sure to check out this week's Color Throwdown Challenge AND stop by my friend Kristin's Blog. It's always a treat and I know she's been working on some other crafty things (She makes gorgeous jewlery!).
here's my shopping list!
