Hello, hello! Happy April....no foolin' around today. There's lots of fun, but no jokes. Today is à la mode day with the My Favorite Things Teasers. Martinis on Me, An Apple for Teacher . You're gonna love 'em! I know I do!
Let's jump in with the teacher appreciation set. It's called AN APPLE FOR TEACHER...and I just adore this image. Her skirt, her hair, the fun pose, and of course the fabulously oversized apple---so cute!
I used a Jen's Deconstructing Sketch....it was perfect to showcase the new CIRCLE STAX DIE-NAMICS and FISHTAIL FLAG STAX.
I am in love.....it's so fabaulous how they emboss and cut all in one swipe through your die cut machine. You can see the detail of that here on my sentiment flag.
The sketch called for a circle element to the left of the center element, so I FINALLY got some Heat & Bond to cut fabric effortlessly. I knew the LOOPEY BLOOM was the first thing I wanted to cut. I tucked in a few of the new REGAL LEAVES (did you see the set includes 5 different sized leaves) and a sweet red twine bow.
A few other Die-namics were put to work, from my stash. The original, OPEN SCALLOP DOILY, set the stage for my à la mode cutie.
And if you look in the background, you can also see the PHOTO CORNER DIE-NAMICS. I used them to frame that back, middle panel. I didn't have enough of that pretty colored, designer paper to mat the whole panel, but I had just enough to cut out 4 PHOTO CORNERS.
Next up is my party girl à la mode-Martinis on Me. I looked up the SCS sketch for this week and swapped out the rectangle for one of the new JUMBO BANNER DAY STAX. Soooooo many options with this one and it's lots of fun to build your banner any way you want to.
I added the setiment to one of the MINI CIRCLE DOILYS and a CIRCLE STAX 1 DIE-NAMICS. It's such a great size. And how about a close up of the fun à la mode....I stamped her on x-press blending cs and colored her up with my beloved Copics!
Have a beautiful day!
