Taylored Expressions 10 Year Birthday Bash!

It's an exciting day here on my blog. Lots going on.....for my Countdown to Confetti Post, please scroll down. I also have the new Color Throwdown Challenge posted today, too,

BUT for now.....if you are looking for the Taylored Expressions Big Blog hop you are in the correct place! woohoo! I am so happy to be joining this amazing group of designers with this Birthday Celebration! I was on the creative team for the TE blog for a couple years, a few years back. I love Taylor and her company and gave an immediate yes, when she invited me to join you all today. All the details are over on the TE Blog, so be sure to start there.....seriously, an amazing line up of beautiful creations awaits you!

So happy birthday Taylored Expressions. In honor of the occasion, I whipped up a festive Bird-day card.....see what I just did there? lol! I love a great pun! I used the Tropical Trio stamp & Die  set and colored up these tropical cuties with my copics.

I then did a little ink blending with the fabulous Mosaic Leaves Stencil and some Distress Oxide inks. I used squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio and the colors are way more vibrant than they show in these pictures.

I finished it off by stamping the sentiment along the bottom in Oreo ink and then added a strip of Blue Raspberry card stock along the bottom. I tucked in some sequins to add to the festive feeling of the card.

Thanks for joining me today!
There are a few ways to get involved with the celebration.

Be sure to start back at the TE Blog to follow our hop!

I don't have tulips but I colored up this pretty mason jar Wildflower Bouquet from Taylored Expressions. I just love this stamp and I was happy to pull it out from my stash this week. I used my zig clean color brush markers to color it up and then cut it out with the matching Wildflower Bouquet die

I used the scallop rectangle to from Frame in Frame Cutting Plate to frame up my pretty flowers, and Beadboard Embossing folder as my card base. I finished it off with some twine and a sentiment circle.

Curtain Call-Fluff

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

Excited to be back with my second card for today. This time I'm hanging with the Curtain Call Crew and right away my stampy brain went to this cozy stamp set from Taylored Expressions, Sit & Chat. I stamped it and then colored with Copics. I used the matching Sit  Chat dies to cut it out. I paper pieced the little cushion with the Tropical Teal polka dotted paper. I added some pretty texture to the background with the Ikat Embossing folder.

You should come play along.  The LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future

Happy Birthday Taylored Expressions

Taylored Expressions is celebrating its 8th birthday with some fun party favors!

These include everything from the exclusive WISH BIG stamp & die combo set I’ve used today, to patterned paper packs, ink, and more! Visit the TE Blog for all the special offers and for your chance to win a fun prize!

I was beyond excited when Taylor asked me if I would like to join in on the birthday fun! I love the new Wish Big stamp & Die combo set. Those bubble letters are something I was never able to master in grade school and junior high, you know, when you doodled in your notebook, but I can stamp them like a pro! lol! I colored them in rainbow colors with my copic markers. I used Oreo Premium Hybrid ink to complete the sentiment with the word "big".

I used the balloons from the Wish Big Stamp & Die combo to create a festive background on my card. I was going for a tone on tone look to my background so I cut some Salt Water Taffy card stock and was going to use Salt Water Taffy premium dye ink but decided I wanted some texture and shine to my card, so I clear embossed each of the balloons.

I used the largest Frame in Frame Cutting plate with the green polka dot paper from Rainbow Brights 6x6 paper pack  to frame it all up. I accented it with some fun sequins from the Build A Scene Halloween tube. Those silver stars are my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope it's a great one.

Curtain Call-Snow Cone

The new challenge is up for this round of the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. It's summery and sweet and I can't wait to see how you use the photo to be inspired. I pulled out this adorable Taylored Expressions stamp set, Calendar Critters and matching dies. The cow was perfect for this summery treat. I love the sentiment, too. I stamped it  onto a Let's Talk Bubble 1 die

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

Come play along,  the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

Here is a detailed shot of the card. I used my zig clean color brush markers to add the pretty water colored striped to the background. I cut a layer of vellum with the LID  Stitched Mats Rectangles die and then tied on some b&w bakers twine to finish if off.

Curtain Call-Cherry Bomb

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!!
This week we are inviting you to join us for...

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!
I am using some of the awesome patriotic products released recently for Taylored Expressions. I am in love with that Americana Script die. I cut it three times with Sugar Cube card stock and then used Copics to color the red and blue words. The smallest star from Seeing Stars (the inside star from the outline die) fits perfectly over the stars in the script. I cut three from silver card stock and topped the word.

I dotted the eye with the Little Bits-Firework die. Some Seeing Stars, embossed with the Lots of Stars Embossing Folder. I framed it all up with the Frame in Frame die with silver card stock and added a layer of vellum behind that. I also tucked in a few of the silver star sequins from Build a Scene-Halloween Sequins.

Color Throwdown 393-Comfy Cozy

Hi, everyone! Broni is our challenge hostess this week and that means that it's time for a new challenge!

Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shownBlush, Rose, Gray and White, you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun!  And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD393, and please use #ctd393 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.

When I saw that beautiful bathroom with that window my crafty brain went right for the  Sit & Chat stamp set and matching Dies from Taylored Expressions. I colored up the cozy sofa with some copics and cut it out with the Sit & Chat dies. I framed it up with a few of the die pieces from the Frame in Frame die and then added the most beautiful touch of pretty with the Rosy Posey Embossing Folder. ohemgee! that thing is awesome. I stamped the sentiment from Sit & Chat in Cement Grey ink and added some sequins and a twine bow to finish it off. Here is a closer look at all the details.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! And don't forget to join us over on the CTD Blog. We can't wait to see what you create with these new colors.
