From the Bunny

I have been busy working on my DT assigments, clearing my calendar for the NEW RELEASE (coming soon....May8) goodies to arrive from Reverse Confetti. I'm caught up for the next few weeks, so I had a little time to play, yesterday. I was inspired to play along with two challenges with this one card. 

First is the Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge-Animal Anitics. With Easter being on Sunday, I thought I'd whip up a cute card to give my in-laws when we arrive for Easter Dinner.  Bebe Bunny and a sentiment from Carton Cuties were the perfect match (All links will be listed below). 

I'm also linking this to the current Seize The Sketch challenge no.18. In place of the oval, I opted for the rounded rectangle from the RC-Class Act Confetti cuts. 

I used Tim Holtz watercolor paper and stamped her with Archival Black ink from Ranger. I used my Distress Markers to make her pretty. I am finding it easier to watercolor with these markers if I scribble the color I'm using onto an acrylic block and THEN pick up the color with my aqua painter. 

Here are the colors I used to color her. 

Since the card was on the soft and pretty side, I went ahead and stamped my sentiment with Grout Gray ink. I love this color of ink and cardstock. Oh, and Insulation Pink, too. Great, soft colors that make terrific neutrals. 

One last detail shot. The embellishments. I used the Petals 'n Posies Confetti cuts to customize my flowers. I used more papers from the Beloved paper pack (coordinating with my background papers). Some pretty Fresh Mint sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and a lasso of pink burlap twine. 

Have a great Friday! I know I am. Hubby and I are off to be one of the first riders on the NEW roller coaster at Kings Island (we live about 25 minutes from there. lucky, I know), The Banshee. It's the worlds longest inverted roller coaster.  Sadly, the boys are in school but Tim and I didn't want to miss out. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous. Wish me luck!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 210 {Hello Bebe}

Happy Sunday! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch. How cute is my Bebe Bunny? She's a new stamp JUST RELEASED by Reverse Confetti. I love that the glasses are their own stamp...you can add them to her or not! I used my Distress Markers to color her up. I just love her and know you will too. Be sure to check out all the new  release products. 

Here's a close up. I used one of the partial sentiment included in the Bebe Bunny, only inking up the word "hello". 

I added some sweet flowers from the new Confetti Cuts die, Petals 'n Posies and added them to a heart from Love Notes. I accented with some sequins and red twine. 

You'll notice that I took some liberty with the sketch and flipped it to fit my card better. I used one more Confetti Cut die, the Sweet Treat Tent. I love using it as a layer on card fronts. I just cut one, and then trimmed off the edges.

Count Down to Confetti {Bebe and You}

wooohooo! I'm here today with a few sneak peeks at the new Reverse Confetti March Release goodies! For the next three days the Confetti Crew and a  few special friends will be showing off all the fabulous new stamps and dies that will release on March 8!! 

Today we are kicking things off with the newest addition to the Quirky Cuties line. Last release you met Freida Fox, today you get to meet her friend, BEBE BUNNY. 

Isn't she a sweetie! I stamped her on x-press blending cardstock with momento Tuxedo black ink and then colored her with my Copic markers.  Here are the copics I used to color her up. Soft pretty, Spring colors. 

I used two confetti cut dies for the sentiment panel. The lovely scalloped frame from Love Note was cut from navy cardstock. The soft, light pink (insulation pink) was cut from a new die that will be releasing this month called CLASS ACT. It's a perfect fit to layer up the middle of the scalloped frame. LOVE that! ♥ 

SPeaking of scallops....don't miss the tiny scalloped border along the bottom. It's from the Double Edge Scallop Border die. 

I created a fun birthday greeting by stamping the word "hoppy" two time in navy ink. Check out the polka dots! I did a little tone-on -tone stamping with the Whole Lotta Dots in Insulation Pink. 

Switching gears....now I'm showing you a scrappy card made with this week's Retro Sketch 104  and the fabulous new Key Words set: ALL ABOUT YOU. 

I've always been a fan of the Key Words stamps, but this one just might be my favorite. It has a cool new font and so many wonderful words to mix and match all centered around "YOU". You're going to love it, too!

I used a bunch of Confetti Cuts dies here. I doubled up both sizes of the tags from Tag Me. That larger tag needed just a little something else, so I added in a pretty pink large scalloped edge thanks to Double Edge Scallop Border. Check out that notebook edge.....SQUEAL!!!! it's a new die set called OFFICE EDGES.  Thanks Jen for thinking of this. Love it! You'll want to add these to your collection of dies for sure!!!
