It's time for the
Papertrey Ink blog hop for the month of May. This month is flying by, but that's okay when you have events like this to look forward to. Never a dull moment in blog land, is it? This month Nichole asked us to embrace the color yellow-any shade or shades of it. I always say I am not a fan of this color, but I have to admit, that every time I use yellow I LOVE the end result. I do have to say that Summer Sunrise is one of my favorite PTI colors. It looks great with so many of their other colors. (avocado and raspberry fizz are two I love to pair it with). Today I combined Summer Sunrise with Lemon Tart and Melon Berry. I even threw in a splash of Ripe Avocado for fun (and it was appropriate for the leaf image).

I pulled out Little Lady and used some big shot dies to make this bright cheery thank-you card. I carried the dot theme throughout the card with some lemon tart polka dots on the card base, the punched holes on the left scalloped border, and the stamped dots of the trail of the ladybug. I love being able to curve a sentiment (like I did with the "with thanks") with ease using acrylic stamps.

To give the bug a bit more dimension, I stamped her on the white cs, and then again on a scrap piece of white. I cut out the "wings", gave them a little fold, and attached them with dimensionals. I'm off to see the other wonderful creations in all shades of yellow. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy hopping!
Hugs, Lisa
