I am giddy about how this card turned out. I started with the Split Circles Cover Die and I used it as a stencil. I love being able to stretch my supplies, I am sure you do to. Having more than one use for a product, helps justify the spending. I simply cut it from some Polar White card stock. Remember I warned you yesterday....my projects are ink blending heavy. I used Baby Blue ink (my favorite Mist, was just a tad too light for the look I wanted, so I switched to Baby blue) and the Life Changing Blending Brushes and created this fun background. I then combined the two sets, Rainy Day Fun and  So Many Sentiments to create the focal images for my card.

So the boots might be my favorite part of this card. Who doesn't love a great pair of wellies (I like to sound fancy, lol) I colored them up with my copics and added some clear Crystal Effects to my puddle. I cut all the little bits out with the coordinating Rainy Day Fun Confetti Cuts. That sentiment if from the So Many Sentiments stamps set. I LOVED the Word Up set that was released last month, so I was super happy to see more of these small font, straight line sentiments joining the line up this month. They are just so great for adding to so many cards. I stamped this one in Midnight ink along the bottom.

This next photo shows off the remaining bits of the scene I created. The umbrella, clouds and sun are all from the Rainy Day Fun stamp set and after I colored them with copics, I cut them out with the Rainy Day Fun Confetti Cuts and popped them up with foam dimensionals.

I have one more detailed shot of some random Cyrstal Effects dots I added to my card. I wanted to give an illusion of rain.

I was inspired to create a pretty RC rainbow with more ink blending and the other new Cover Panel, On the Curve.  I started with Magenta ink and then blended in Coral, Lime Green, Iced Aqua and finished with Wisteria. I love how it turned out. Do you?

The sentiment is from So Many Sentiments and I heat embossed it in white and then added in a gorgeous sun and clouds from the new Over the Rainbow Confetti Cuts. A staple to any stampers supplies for sure!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to leave comments along the way for a chance to win!

  9. Would love to win! And I wish you had a tutorial on how to use the die as a stencil— it doesn’t look like an “open” die, so I don’t know how you did it!
