Poppy Sketch no.16 {pop of chevron}

Happy Monday! It's time for another Poppy Sketch. It's a great one. I flipped it today to use it for a special sparkly birthday card. Ooooooo, and Chevrons....I love chevrons!

I used the cool new Roundabout Additions stamp set. I used the largest circle from Circles 'n Scallops to cut it out. I also added some pretty small scallops from the Double Edge Scallop Border.  I tucked in some pretty silver twine and added my favorite Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Here is the challenge for this week.

 It's a pop of pattern.....yay! Chevrons! Our sponsor this week is Cut Cardstock. We got some beautiful shimmery and sparkly card stock to work with. I loved it. AND it was ALREADY cut.....time saver.....and awesome!

Come join us over at the Poppy Sketch Blog for more inspiration and the challenge details.

There still is a bit of time left to link up your SFYTT card over on the Reverse Confetti Blog. I love that you now have a whole month to play along.

I used the adorable Sammy Squirrel for my sample this month.

 I used the Circles 'n Scallops die to cut out the panel to stamp the image in brown momento ink. I then used a few copic markers to add some subtle shading and color on the kraft card stock. I tucked in a fun Pretty Panel-Triangles behind him for a  touch of texture.

I used the birthday sentiment from the set, it fit perfectly in the bottom corner.

Here is the sketch.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 242 {With Deepest Sympathy}

I took a small blogging break this week and only posted a few times. Don't worry, I have been busy behind the scenes preparing for LOTS of new releases. Fun stuff coming in the next two weeks.
Sadly, I needed a sympathy card for a friend. It came together quickly with this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Thanks Karen.
I used Whole Lotta Dots in background stamped in Steel Gray ink. I cut a small panel from Sno Cone cardstock and stamped the setntiment from In A Big Way in versamark ink and hit it with some white emobssing powder.

I added a layered Petals 'n Posie and stamped a few more small polka dots onto the top flower. A button and some twine finish it off.

For one more element of color, I added some pretty rolling waves by cutting three different colors of card stock with the Doin' The Wave Confetti cut.

Here is the sketch for this week.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 241 {Stinker}

Total boy humor today. I hope you don't mind, but it makes me giggle. Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week. I just love the Sweet Sunday Sketches. They are always a great starting point for any stamping session.

I finally placed an order with The Sweet Stamp Shop stamps. Nicole's stamps are adorable. I picked up Stinky Skunk for the fun stinky humour and I just love skunks. Weird, I know.....I even like the smell of them. True story! lol. Living in a house of boys, it SURE gets stinky.  I used the skunk in place of the circle element from the sketch.

I ued some Lil' Inker Design dies for my square and rectangle panels. The flags are from MFT. I also tucked in some enamel dots for added fun on the card.

Check out this week's sketch.

Curtain Call { Thank You gifty and Twine}

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!
Burlap Banner

I used a handful of Reverse Confetti stamps and dies along with the yummy The Twinery! I played up the colors and texture from the inspiration photo.

We have a new sponsor, The Twinery, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Burlap Banner!  A randomly selected participant in the Burlap Banner challenge will receive a fabulous bundle from The Twinery, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I made a sweet little gifty to say Thank-you. I wrapped the bag with the Envie Wrap confetti cut and then added a double dose of beautiful twine in Cantaloupe and in Flax. I love using twine of any color to wrap packages. Such a fun touch!

Here is the full shot of the packaged goodies. I used Whole Lotta Dots, Winning stamp set and matching Confetti cut, Circles 'n Scallops and some Pretty Posies dies to complete my package. It's so sweet! Oh, I almost forgot, the sentiment is from Forever Fall. I masked off the words to stamp them individually so they would fit on the pennant. A scattering of pretty pink posh sequins added just a touch of sparkle!

The Twinery Designers, our Guest Designer and the Curtain Call Crew have lots of additional inspiration for you today!  Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs!

TCPTues277-{a little more spooky cute}

Looove all the new Halloween goodies from The Cat's Pajamas. It's Tuesday, so that means it's time for another great TCPTues Challenge. This week it's an inspiration photo. I know you'll love it. I was inspired by the colors and the spiders. FUN!

 I just love this mummy. It's from the new Brains stamp set.  I used the Deconstructed Sketch 172 for this card. I stamped him on a square of xpress-it blending cs and added subtle coloring with a few light tones of Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment along the side in Grapesicle ink.

I'm not a huge fan of spiders, but I can sure handle these kinds. They are from Vintage Halloween.  I stamped a duo in black ink and added a web on purple cs and then cut it out. I attached a pop of orange cut from the Framed Up2 cut ups. Some twine and a scattering of sequins and enamel dots complete my card.

Check out the inspiration photos. Told you they were awesome! Now come play along with us.
