MFTWSC150 {happy holidays}

I spent some time with my MFT stamps and Die-namics this weekend. I have an order coming to me this week and I needed a warm up. I haven't posted to the Wednesday Stamp Club (even though I've used the past couple of sketches) link up in months! I was excited to play along this week. It's WSC 150 and you can check out the sketch and link up HERE.

Check out my card.

 I used the pretty Basic Grey papers from last year, Aspen. I just adore the colors. Thanks to Tara, I found this Basic Grey Challenge blog and I'm entering this card there, too.

 I cut a layer of Kraft card stock and created the notebook edge with the  Notebook Edge Border. I love that I can create this fun and trendy edge on any project, any where with this Die-namics.

I also stamped the beautiful large polka dots from Large Scale Backgrounds. I just adore Sweet tooth ink stamped on Kraft! The square is Sweet Tooth card stock and I used one of the Square Stax 1 Die-namics for a perfect fit.

In place of that label die in the sketch, I went with this gorgeous Poinsettia and a Fishtail banner piece for my sentiment. I used two of the smaller flower pieces and layered them up.

The sentiment is from a set released last year (I think), Clearly Sentimental About Christmas. I stamped it in Jellybean Green ink on JellyBean Green cardstock. I swiped on some Sweet Tooth ink around the edges to soften the look.

Stop on by the MFT Blog to see the rest of the link ups. Lots of inspiration always.

Catered Crop {thankful}

The other week, I linked up to the Catered Crop Recipe Swap. I worked with Linda on the MFT DT for awhile and I have been stalking her Recipe Swap Challenges. I had some time to join in on her Washi Challenge.
I was excited to find out yesterday that I was chosen as one of the Winning Recipes. woohoo! With that honor, I was invited to join in this week's Quick Fire Round for her Thank-you Kindly challenge.
I am always making thank-you cards, so this was no big challege for me. I pulled out some My Favorite Things supplies and got busy. It has been awhile since I worked with these goodies and it was like visiting an old friend.

I LOVE MFT Die-namics. I used the Thank-you Die-namics, along with the beauitful Modern Morocco Cover Plate. I added a pretty text to the background with the scripty, Art Expression Text. It's tone one tone, Sno Cone ink on Sno Cone cs, it's subtle and oh-so-pretty!

The gorgeous color combo is compliments of Joanne B. She used MFT Olive, Sno Cone, and Fuse Green beautifully during Teaser Time last week, I just had to give it a go. I have another color combo she used in mind for a card coming soon.

I was following the current Seize The Sketch layout for my card. For that embellishment piece, I decided to use one of my all time favorite MFT stamp sets, Thankful Leaves. I also used the dies to match, Fall Leaves.

Be sure to check out the latest Catered Crop Recipe Swap. It's fun!

Reverse Confetti Nov. Color Challenge

Hello! and Welcome to the first Reverse Confetti Color Challenge. Jen decided to change things up a bit starting this month by adding in a new challenge. That means another reason to use your Reverse Confetti stamps, get stamping, AND another chance to win a prize!

Here is my card. The colors this month are: Gray, Orange, and Navy.  I went a bit trendy trendy with an angled panel and the stripes from So Stripey. I used three different stamps from that set. Two on the banner pieces and the single, solid stripe in the back ground in Orange Fizz ink.

Here's a close up of the small tag an the stripes I added to the fishtail banner pieces. I did a lot of tone on tone stamping. I really like the look.  I used the new TAG Me Confetti Cuts  for that small tag and two of the banner pieces. I added some Whole Lotta Dots polka dots.

I used two sentiments on my card. The larger one on the Sweet Tooth circle is from Lots To Say. The hello on my tag is from Arrows 'n Elements. You know how I love to mix and match my RC stamps.

Here is the Challenge Graphic. Isn't it great?!! I have another card, that I'll share later next week.

Check out the stamps I used today.

TCPNOV13-What's on your desk {part 2)

I am up again this week with another sample for the November TCP Tuesday Challenge. I told the girls yesterday that I really enjoyed this challenge. I love the fact that I walk away with 3 finished cards after 1 crafty session. Have you played along? It's a What's On Your Desk Challenge: Make 1 card and then with what you have left on your desk, make 2 more!

I had fun with the newest penguin trio, Peace, Joy, and Peguins. While I love that tower of fun, I wanted to show you how to get a little bit more mileage out of this stamp set. I actually stamped them once and then cut out two of penguins to use separately, on two different cards.

Here is the card I started with. I kept it with the holiday theme and used the beautiful Snowflake Lace Paper Cutups to add an embossed panel to show off my candy cane penguin.  I just added an embossing matt to my stack, and removed the adaptor shim before I ran it through my Vagabond. I really love doing this with so many dies....another money saving tip!

While I had it out, I cut a full doily from some Sweet Tooth cardstock. I used a punched out snowflake to help accent my card.

The layout for this one is from the current Deconstructing Sketch 126. Not sure you can see it so well here, but that snowflake is sugared up with some Distress Glitter.

Next is the gifty penguin. I used the same papers from Basic Grey and went with a bit more of a clean and simple layout. I wanted a non-holiday card for this sweet little guy. See....getting more bang for your buck! He's got a stack of birthday gifts and the Celebration Toppers Cutups was perfect to accent him.

 I also added a strip of Icing Cutup in Wild Cherry cs, tied on a twiney bow and adhered a few white sequins. It's a party!!

Here with my final card, you can see where I used the full Snowflake Lacey Paper Cutups. It fit perfectly with the Retro Sketch89  for this week.

Again, I went with another clean and simple card. I cut out a circle of the pretty pattern paper scraps from my first card and stamped a sentiment from this same Peace, Joy, and Penguins stamp set.

I used more of those sugary snowflakes along with a few olive green sequins, while I still had my sequin jar on my desk. :)
Easy Peasy! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to hop  over to Alma's blog to see who else has fun samples for the second week of this challenge.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 197 {holy shitake}

I was dying to use this new stamp from Unity Stamp Co. It's new, and it's small, it's sooooo punny.......AND  it's only A BUCK!! Holy Shitake!

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch. I know you'll all have some thing fabulous to do with it.
Here is my take.

 I used some holiday papers with this non-holiday stamps. These papers are from Glitz-Hello Dear.  The little wide banner piece is the smallest tag die from the new Reverse Confetti-Tag Me Confetti Cut.

I colored the mushroom with my copics and added  a touch of stickles. The sentiment cracks me up.

Here is this week's sketch:

Start the fun over on Karen's blog
She has all the details for the challenge.

Need some inspiration?? Check out what the SSS team has done with the sketch.

Hello and welcome to what might just be the world's largest Blog Hop. And it's all for Moxie Fab Cath!! She has been an inspiration and supporter of the card making world for years! This is our chance to say thank-you for all she has done.

You should have arrived here from Julie Cambell's blog. She's #189 in the Inlinkz list below.

I made a card to show my appreciation. It uses some of the just released Reverse Confetti stamps-So Stripey and Lots To Say

I used the layout from this week's Seize The Sketch challenge. It was perfect for my graphic and fun card. I used the Tag Me Confetti Cuts to cut my fishtail banner piece from Sweet Tooth cs. Then I ran it through my Vagabond with the Dots Cutups from TCP and wrapped around some navy twine.

Thanks for stopping by.
 And a HUGE Moxie FAB Thanks to Cath!!! I wish you all the best!

Here's the big link up!
Follow the list and have fun hopping.
