Unity Thursday

Hello, again, my Unity friends.  I'm always happy to have you pop on  by to see what I've created. 
There are some new  stamps being released this week.  If you are a Phyllis Harris fan, then you are in for a TREAT!!!

I ended up using this week's  stamp  of the week. It's a chocolate bar, afterall.... who can resist chocolate??

The layout is this week's Retro Sketch no.37

I colored up the image with my Copics, 

and cut out the sentiment with a Fishtail Flag Stax Die-namics.

An aqua button and twine helped accent it. 

I used a few candy dots to futher accent my main image panel.

CC436-Birthdays and celebrations

I have had a need for LOTS of  birthday cards lately. I sell cards up at my hair salon, thanks to my awesome gal Caroline for suggesting I set up a basket. She says there's been requests for more birthday cards. I am trying to bulk up my supply, so you'll be seeing more birthday cards here. 
I used yesterday's color challenge (CC436) on SCS (bashful blue, marina mist, and calypso coral) and a Blueprints 1 sketch to make this card. I love those sketches, they really make card making THAT much easier. 

The font filled layer was created with repeatedly stamping a few of the words from Birthday Greetings in Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral inks. I do love those new Party Balloons Die-namics. I added one here that I first stamped with some polka dots from Darling dots.

MFTWSC133-Birthday balloons and stars

I was able to stamp out this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge card over the weekend. I wasn't sure about this layout at first, but I pulled out a few birthday themed products (stars, tickets, and balloons) and this card came to be .

The birthday sentiment is from the Circus Spectacular stamp set. I added a few stars in Lemon Drop ink. The tickets were cut with the Mini Ticket Border Die-namics and I used the Washi Patterns stamps to add some festive prints to them. I do love those new Party Balloon Die-namics, too. They are so fun to tie on to a card. 

I cut a star using the Star Stax Die-namics from Steel Blue cs and then ran it through my paper crimmper. I love making my own corrugated embellies. Just the right amount of texture. I anchored the balloons behind the Factory Green Button.

Embrace Happiness

Hubby was at a soccer meeting and the boys each had friends over, so that meant stampy time for mama. I went ahead and colored up this sweet stamp from TSG, Amalie's Daisy.  I picked her up the other week during their Christmas in July sale. Love that!  

I made things easy on myself and used Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch no.7 for my layout. Have you seen her sketches yet? They are sure fun and a great way to kick start a clean and simple card.  I also am sliding in at the last minute with this week's TSG-Metal challenge. I added some criss crossed staples and used a grey brad. See, you can add metal to a girly card and still make it look sweet. 
I loved that this stamp set included the extra flower image. I used it to stamp my background  as well as to add an extra layer to her hat flower. 

I colored this top flower the same as the first one and popped it up with a dimensional. I also gave it a touch of sparkle with MFT's Glitter Glaze. 
This was the perfect card for my Sunday afternoon. Hope you like it. I'll be back tomorrow with more stampy goodies.
